for more room in the kitchen/living room - you could move the door to the bedroom to the blue corner near the bathroom. but yeah, great job so far - loving this 🎉
I would have suggested just kocking all the walls down and making your own floor plan on this house. Would have been better then you could have gotten the big kitchen. But all well. Love your videos
The only spots I would keep would be the room to the downstairs the shelves are nice and by the garage
What you should do to check if the number of rooms makes a difference at all is buy the same house three times, first time leave the room layout exactly as it is, second time remove some walls to make fewer rooms, third time add walls to make more rooms. That way you have three results on the same house to compare.
I may do that, do the other two on the other save
Oddly enough, to simulate carpet I tried using a light pattern wallpaper and made both parts the same color or just a tiny bit lighter color. I thought it worked pretty well.
I just did this house the other day and i sold everything and removed alot of walls. Made it a 1 bedroom, 1 full bathroom and 1/2 bathroom i left downstairs. Made about 80k profit after i finished it. Was a fun one to do.
I really like the house so far. When I was a kid, pretty much that pink and that blue were my favorite color combination, so I look forward to seeing those two rooms get done. Also, I think having a small kitchen so you can have a nice master bedroom upstairs was the right call. I feel like that adds way more value to the house. It’ll be interesting to see if adding more rooms pays off when you sell, too. 😊

I did this house but want to try it again. I think I tore down all the walls because it was set up so strange but didn't love my final build. You gave me some new ideas to try

The phrase you are looking for are "hand towel" and i did not realize it also was not in the game! A few things (most likely not to be seen immediately if you already recorded another show or two but in the future: ) 1) If you have after a purchase or assignment an item looking distressed, you *cannot* change the texture or material and it stops looking distressed; it will carry over that state. Only by buying a new material will it stop looking distressed. If you copy and buy that material, unless it's something like driftwood, it should then look new. 2) If you wish to sell your parent's (original) house, all you have to do is buy another property and make it your new home base. The original house then should be able to be sold. (Unless that was changed.) Keep it up!

Purely out of personal preference, I hate how...white spacey the regular paint looks. The lack of texture just looks wrong. I really wish that there was just a more textured variant of the paints.
I led you astray. It was the gravel I used for carpet but I was in sandbox mode and didn’t realize you couldn’t change it to any color while in the campaign, sorry. Let’s hope they’re working on getting carpet. I’m not a fan or using wood and tile for all floors either. Carpet is just cozy lol
There's no cooking in that kitchen, that's 100% decorative. You should move the kitchen to the larger room attached to the garage, turn the room next to it into a joint pantry and laundry. Maybe take thst small closet space next to the entrance and use it to extend the kitchen and laundry.
