She is a private attorney and he hired her instead of using the public defender or did she offer her services pro bono thinking he was going to get a payout for what Harris portrayed as errors by the court? He thought he could get a payout based on his claims. Even as much as the judge said initially when he asked Harris where was he on 12/28/2023 Harris continued to lie and claim he was bedridden when in fact the judge proved he was not. He needs to make a public apology for his lies. After this hearing it seems only one news channel addressed this but although they accused the courts of errors they did not apologize for their error in reporting.
i honestly think he was just embarrassed lmao. i don't think he was planning on pursuing it or his attorney would have brought it all up in motions to get the case dismissed.
To be accurate he did not get arrested again but was remanded again
I love the dramatics of his body giving out after 20 minutes. I wonder how his wife is doing? Oh, that's right she wasn't in the car when he was parking "at my doctor's office". Prosecutor was correct when this guy went on TV and the news he lied to disparage the court and State of Michigan by lying the whole time. Dude is a serial liar and while not bad, he isn't the best at lying. Certainly, his fellow church goers will have perform some ritual to cleanse him of these lying demons. Oh, and they may want to help him with the mouth breathing issue among others.

Very well handled judge Simpson. When all is said and done, by taking him in right then is actually helping him deal with the warrant then get his record cleared so he can get a Michigan license.

He’s 40 something without a license. Getting a permit requires basic knowledge. The driving test is a basic skills test. It takes about 2 hours out of your life. Once you get your license. You never have to test again. Unless you lose your privilege by doing something wrong or owe child support,DUI, etc. Then to find out this man has a wife. I’m wondering if she had a license and why didn’t she drive him on that VIRAL day. More than likely though, she is the bread winner

As you heard at the start, public defender office withdrew and handed the case to her. I bet she's one of the best, and she's doing it for free. You can't buy this type of publicity.
Don't care much for her attempts to disparage the officer while making it seem like she was praising him.
I thought she was illogical, blustering and irritating. A diversity hire for publicity.
@@Lensman864 No one likes defense lawyers if they're doing their job well. No one hired her. She has a private practice. Her reputation was so formidable Judge Simpson checked the arrest until the last second before arresting the guy.
You try doing a better job when your client blindsided you. Despite taken by surprise, she didn't lose her poise, made the best possible points at that time. I have seen lawyers stumble even with prepared statements.
