THE LORE IS FINALLY OUT (it's a bit scuffed so I apologize for that) One day Sword decided to be reckless and managed to sneak into the location of the "Cult of the True Eye" thanks to Medkit giving him info. As he fought through multiple members he meets Scythe at the end. However she doesn't fight Sword, and starts brainwashing him. Scythe starts convincing Sword the cult is doing this for the good sake of Crossroads. The deity they worship will bring joy to all. Even showing evidence that it makes positive changes to those who worship said Deity and how they also help other citizens without even realizing. Sword decides to call out Scythe that it sounds like a bunch of bullshit and there's no way. She's a serial killer, puts her victims horns on her wall, and works with a gear launderer. But however she tries convincing him even more. That sacrifices have to be made and asks him this.. "Do you ever think Medkit has told you everything?" Of course he hasn't. other than confessing the cult was twisted, Sword doesn't know about Medkit's past. "How do you think he lost his eye?" "It was a freak accident" Medkit told him. Scythe tells the truth of what Medkit has done to Subspace. The hard fall that those two had in the past, their last fight with leading to Subspace in a terrible condition, instead of doing what's right he did only what benifited himself. "Those two were close.. sounds like history might repeat itself heh" Scythe said. Telling Sword that Medkit has been just using him as a tool, a scapegoat, and once the job was done he was going to kill Sword without a second thought. Even putting salt on the wound in mentioning "you're supposed to be the son of Venomshank?" How he's belittled by everyone around him, thinking he's weak, and a disgrace to deities as a whole. Sword joining the cult could not only stop Medkit but maybe people will finally respect him and acknowledge his worth. After a long silence, Sword with his mind flowing with overwhelming thoughts and not being sure what to believe and who to trust anymore. He joins the cult in secret. 4 months later, Medkit and Sword are in Banland to search for Banhammer. Medkit confessing that he has been informing him about the cult and ways to stop them. Then Sword just snaps almost hitting Medkit with a slash. Stuck in his mental torment, learning from the Cult of the True Eye, considering his options.... Sword decided he was going to take down Medkit right here and right now.
Cool! Maybe I should use the lore for one of my AU Swords (specifically Sevenverse!Sword or probably one of Sevenverse!Sword's alternate timeline/reality/universe counterparts), so can I take inspiration or something from your stuff please?
I love what Sword says at the beginning! It's perfect because of how people often forgot that Sword is in Lost Temple- but at the same time, there's a serial killer, edgy doctor, criminal, and then there's Sword. Edit: 200+ likes on a comment... why tf do I have 200+ likes on a comment???
Someting I can kinda see is after this (I Hate You song) that either Rocket or The Broker hears Swords shout of fury after Medkit's betrayal, deciding to see what was up. Only to come across a more.. Horrific sight, rather then Sword.. Someone else who's filled with more veagance than understanding and is too far gone. The job must be done. A sacrifice needs to be made.
Your the first one to notice!!! Yep Broker and Scythe sing in that section using a diff pattern in the FLP. They have their own chromatics and blended them into the cover pretty well honestly

It kinda reminds me of the AU I'm writing where Medkit starts focusing on the cult more and eventually gets half possessed by the overseer and same thing happens as like this lore but the difference is rocket is spying on them by pretending to be apart of the cult and report back to sword what they're doing. BUT THE END OF THE SONG IS JUST SO EIGRHHEHSHSHHWHWUAUWWUUWW AMAZING!1!1!1! Since Scythe and Broker joined in the last part my mind imagined it like the three of them get rid of sword and their plan to trick him into insanity worked. BUT THIS IS SO PERFECT I WANT TO MAKE A MOD OF THIS COVER SPECIFICALLY I LOVE IT THAT MUCH
