Prang is dye based and that’s why you won’t ever see pigment information. I have a friend who works here in Mexico that works in the factory making these paints he says the use a mix of gum Arabic and honey for the binder. I have never been a fan of Prang except to introduce children to watercolor. Prang fades very quickly it the sun 2 or three days but they are fine as long as you don’t display them.
Thank you Anthony for always helping me provide information that I couldn't instantly find. ☺️ Dye easily fades I think so that's the reason it is not lightfast. And the honey is the reason it seems why it remains semi moist. 😊

There are no precise technical definition found online, but the way i understand it based on products is that student grade paints usually have an artist grade counterpart. Like the LaPetite for Sennelier, VanGogh for Rembrandt, Schimjncke academy for Scmincke Horadam and Sonnet for white nights. These Student grade paints for me are intended for serious artists preparing for professional upgrade. paints that are school grade are intended for kids use, for playing and dont usually have pigment and lightfastness information provided. Ano yun? Ika-cut mo yung palette? Hahaha...
Kaya nga siguro pang student or pang school at practice Lang talaga siya. Not recommended for quality and displayed commissioned. Siguro ung terms na funny, eh dahil made Mexico siya? Hehehe
I have bought mine na wala pung paper or yung discriptions or names ng colors...may class A ba na prang? Or puro original?
2nd, please wag po tayo masyado mapraning abot 'fake' paints kasi wala pa naman talagang nakapag pakita at nakaprove na about fake paints. production of paints is expensive and if gagawa lang sila ng fake, it's jot gonna benefit them kasi hindi naman basic necessity Ang watercolor para pagkakitaan nila. i mean, yes, ginagamit sa school, pero how often tayo bumibili? madalang dba. prang is only around 500 for 16 colors. if gagawa ako ng fake, the proce has to be very low para mabenta but that's difficult to produce kapalit ng half the price. much more kung class A. hehe. actually, Everytime may nakikita akong mag sasabi kung fake ba or not ang isang item, mas lalo akong nacucurious to try out a ' fake ' item. para macompare. however, after 3 years of waiting and searching for any fake paints, wala akong mahanap.. of it's real that they exist, these fake paints should be just around the corner.. kaso kahit isa sa GP, wala pang naka experience.. there was one time, they doubted the maries set, kasi jba ang box cover.. pero my God, nagpapalit sila ng box cover eh. marketing strategies. winsor and newton chjna. fake daw. ayun, i contacted winsor and Newton and they confirmed it wasnt fake jist meant for Chinese market.. so yun. till now, wala parin akong nakikitang fake. hehe
@@alyzaarcabal304 that's better. If ayaw mo ng granulation brown, gawa ka nalang ng sarili mong brown using red, yellow and blue. Naturally granulating kasi ang brown e. Pag non granulating primaries ang ginamit mo, cleaner ung mixes.

@@alyzaarcabal304 well, most of the time, but not all the time.

Hiii. In my experience, there are really roaches and insects in the Philippines, no matter how much we maintain cleanliness.. when I was in Spain and Japan, i didn't remember seeing insects or flies.. the climate 'may' have also contributed. 😊
I let my new Prang watercolor pan open the whole night to dry them up and suprisingly there seems to be some marks when I checked this afternoon..looks like a house lizard tried to taste some colors 😅
@@atengmsn4217 oh poor lizard..hehe. watercolor binders are edible and if the manufacturers don't put something on their paints to make it less 'palatable' and inviting to insects and other organisms, paints would serve as great snacks to them.haha. some artits spray rubbing alcohol on their pajnts to secure them but im not so sire if its not gonna harm the paints..

Ano yun? Ika-cut mo yung palette? Hahaha...
Kaya nga siguro pang student or pang school at practice Lang talaga siya. Not recommended for quality and displayed commissioned. Siguro ung terms na funny, eh dahil made Mexico siya? Hehehe
I have bought mine na wala pung paper or yung discriptions or names ng colors...may class A ba na prang? Or puro original?
2nd, please wag po tayo masyado mapraning abot 'fake' paints kasi wala pa naman talagang nakapag pakita at nakaprove na about fake paints. production of paints is expensive and if gagawa lang sila ng fake, it's jot gonna benefit them kasi hindi naman basic necessity Ang watercolor para pagkakitaan nila. i mean, yes, ginagamit sa school, pero how often tayo bumibili? madalang dba. prang is only around 500 for 16 colors. if gagawa ako ng fake, the proce has to be very low para mabenta but that's difficult to produce kapalit ng half the price. much more kung class A. hehe. actually, Everytime may nakikita akong mag sasabi kung fake ba or not ang isang item, mas lalo akong nacucurious to try out a ' fake ' item. para macompare. however, after 3 years of waiting and searching for any fake paints, wala akong mahanap.. of it's real that they exist, these fake paints should be just around the corner.. kaso kahit isa sa GP, wala pang naka experience.. there was one time, they doubted the maries set, kasi jba ang box cover.. pero my God, nagpapalit sila ng box cover eh. marketing strategies. winsor and newton chjna. fake daw. ayun, i contacted winsor and Newton and they confirmed it wasnt fake jist meant for Chinese market.. so yun. till now, wala parin akong nakikitang fake. hehe
Sir bakit pag nag lilayer ako ng dark skin tone gamit prang bakit yung brown nagiging grainy
usually kasi, granulating ang brown color.. it's either granulation po yan or sandy. alin po sa 2?
@@AllanJayQuesada granulation po sir
@@alyzaarcabal304 that's better. If ayaw mo ng granulation brown, gawa ka nalang ng sarili mong brown using red, yellow and blue.
@@alyzaarcabal304 well, most of the time, but not all the time.
Kuya ano po mas marerecommend nyo, prang or seamiart?
Hi.

Insects!!?? Roaches!!!??? Say what???!! 😮 I have never heard this from any other channel reviewing Prang watercolors. Thanks for letting us know...I think. 😨
550 lang dati HAHAHHAA
Hahaha. Damay sa Inflation siguro.
