So I know what I’m about to suggest is not a quintessential “quiet place,” but these camping vids have got me thinkin’! It would be so cool if y’all did a little tour of the Lancaster “Rough and Tumble” for us old timers. I feel like we, in modern culture, have lost touch with our heritage, and the historical “romance” of it all is priceless. Thank you for everything you do QP! 😁
My family owned this campground and I lived there above the general store late 70s “ mid 80s.thank you for the new tour. I had been watching your other videos enjoying the area and life I lived n my youth and then saw this. Awesome. Thanks again.
this used to be the "Red Run Grist Mill" campground. I was here when I was 5 or 6 in 1969/70. i remember it well because I saw my 1st meteorite here in broad daylight. I heard the little girl i was playing with next to the creek exclaim, "whats that"? I turned to where she was pointing and saw a smoke trail in the sky. almost INSTANTLY the smoke puffed out and we watched the remaining meteorite tumble end over end until out of sight. it couldnt have been but a 1/4mile away at most. of course, NONE of our parents believed us and we didn't know what we saw either, but it is indelibly etched into my brain in vivid detail.
