I'm 1/4 through season 2 and I think Glenn is probably the smartest. Even Daryl was astonished by his intelligence and asked what he did before the apocalypse.

season 1 had so many great dialogues!!
This is the Walking Dead I fell in love with, with witty, sarcastic and humorous characters with a great script with loads of quick witted comebacks and zingy one liners. Now the cast is just a bunch of miserable bastards, hell, some of the zombies have more charisma than the characters now.
I feel like that would be pretty reasonable after seeings dozens of your family and friends die in front of you.
It’s because Frank Durabont left in the middle of season 2, and he was writing/producing up to that point. You can definitely see how the show changed after he left. I quit watching not long after season 3.
Ah, you forget the series has its wonderful humor.
If Daryl dies we stop watching.

I remember when the show had a hint of humour every so often and has now developed into a very dark and dramatic show which I find cool although there is still some humour in the more recent episodes also.
