Hi Samuel, this is important all the time when you are off piste, so when you are riding in resort and not far from the piste it is still a wise idea to use these tips to get into good habits/practices. I do this all the time, even when riding right underneath the gondola. Have fun out there. Xavier
nice video, i like the public safety tip style that it was. i think you should do more like this, just because more and more people are trying to do more dangerous things because of videos that they see. and this is great on red bull's part for being there too help.
I just picked up snowboarding again this season after many years away. Last time out I did my first face shot of powder, which I thought was pretty cool.
Douglas Edwards When on a board and the snow slips. lean into the mountain traversing across and kind of make a sail with you right thigh and body. angle the board coaxially 80 degree or so from vertically then you should ride up out of the slip and head towards a 'safe spot' . With any luck and invariably the slip will have gone ahead of you and you can take a breath and continue... Manage positioning of thigh and board is important or you may fall backwards and die even in a small slip and especially if you are on your own; one trick is to mix slipping down the mountain with the coaxial sail traversing. Manage Douglas Edwards there would be a fomrailue for it - the falling snow is like wind and the more if fall the more you ride up and accorss like a sailing boat.. That is one for snowboarders over skiers who I am not sure have this luxury... Manage Douglas Edwards there's a ratio of how much you turn the board up to the falling snow relative to the steepness / decent and traversing rate.. Manage and wiggle a bit... can be practiced in waves at the sea... I sense that wiggling prevents a mean position from developing which could be fatal if a combination of factors arise which cause a fall. wiggle and down strokes... and side swipes and slight twists.. s all letting the snow flow past.. body position much like a ski jumper ... the worse and steeper it is the more like a ski jumper.. riding avalanches...it's why I am so good in bed... Douglas Edwards 🤣😎😛
As it say on the disclaimer at the end, this information is misleading. The tips are good, but it is not even half of a proper risk assessment for avalanches. Be aware of RUclips "advises" on this type of things, here is your or someone else life that is on the table.
Amazing true talent
A great message Xavier. Cheers for sharing your insights. Shred on !
Wow stellar video, very important too. Thanks for the info. :)))
You are welcome! 🙌
I love this video series!
So do we! 🙌
First love your drink and videos
Jumping Cliffs would be interesting
How important is this issue when riding off piste and not backcountry mountains? Is it less dangerous?

I managed to get down the ski run without crashing? :D
I acidentally caught my nose and ended up doing an unintentional tamedog (rolled on my shoulders) down the trail :)
