While he does appear to remain calm at all times, I'd wager there are plenty of times that he doesn't. He doesn't seem the type to be a jerk though, and probably uses his energy of his frustration by doing something constructive, or just taking a walk. Same goes for her.

Have to give Spencer and Kenzie credit. They are so determined and once they have a goal, they get it no matter what. Also have to give Spencer props... He has literally turned into Batman and is a literal jack of all trades. House builder, electrician, plumber, road builder, mechanic, woodsman, carpenter, solar system expert... but above all else a loving husband and a father. An inspiration. Not all heroes wear capes.

This video today really allowed me to come to the realization that there are specific RUclips channels that have become a big part and kind of a important part of my life. He just sits and figures it out and gets on with it, knows the names of all the parts he’s working with and of course his little ‘helper’ can’t wait to see what their new area will look like when it’s all finished like their homestead.couldn’t agree more about being part of our lives. When finished with mainstream television switching to utube is such a joy watching these two and simple living, such hard workers both families don’t mind getting their hands dirty and after some of the drivel that’s shown on nighttime Tv it’s a real treat to sit back and watch them late in the night.

I’ve turned wrenches on the largest Fire Trucks in the world and that job had to be pretty difficult in those conditions!!!

FYI: The easiest way I've found to burn a brush pile is to use 1, 2, or 3 cups of diesel (mixed with 1/4 cup of gasoline). The gasoline ignites, and the diesel keeps it burning.

Forgetting the axle was funny. I once assembled a garage door opener and ran the rail through my A-frame ladder and didn't realize it until i was completely done.
Sooo many men would give their right arm for that hair! Spencer looks awesome with it! Also, WOW on the roadwork he did! Never underestimate the work the mom does - it’s non-stop work! Way to go you two!
You guys need an outback clothes tub! Get a 75 litre garbage can and cut a hole in the top big enough to get a long handle through (like a mop/broom). You can fill it with rain water, add your environmentally friendly soap and clothes, slip the lid over the handle and clip it in place. Use the handle to move the clothes around like a washing machine. This will give your clothes a good rinse and prewash for really muddy items or even bedding. If the water isn't terribly dirty you can do more than one load in the same water to finish in your spin washer. There are all kinds of plans online to make these!

I love your chemestry together. Spenser is easy going and sort of quiet, put his head down and works. Kinzie is bubbly and full of life and a laugh that makes me smile. Spencer has a lot of knowledge and is capable of building and fixing almost just about anything. Nicely done, man!
He also has said he does a lot of research to learn about all the things he tries.
Helpful hint: Get some moving blankets from Harbor Freight. You can get them for as little as $5 (Free some weeks if you sign up for mailing list). They have a hundred and one uses...Throw one on the ground under your car, and you have a clean, dry, padded area to work from. They can be used over and over again...when they DO tear up...chunk em and get another.
Its nice to be somewhere different but it's also nice to be home.. glad you got your car fixed and the driveway done.

There is in fact NO PLACE LIKE HOME ! It's an odd thing how we get the need to get away but that need is quickly fulfilled and all you can think of is getting back to the place you wanted to get away from in the first place. Getting a solid comfortable nights sleep in your own bed is like heaven that first night back.

My family would always go camping for about 2 months every summer while growing up. There is not better feeling of being back at home, having a nice long shower and sleeping in your normal bed.

One step forward and two steps back, Spencer! Not quite ready for a NASCAR pit crew but pretty damn good for working with the tools you have available! Take the muddy clothes to the creek and rinse them out before you wash them. Just like in the olden days… Just think of everything that has been accomplished while on the mountain!
