I can go several months at a time and never have any issue, then I get like short period of time where I loose 2-5 of them, My herd is like 60 head count of witch only 4 are bucks. I vaccinate every October. My goat housing is free access 24/7 365 days a year. Being in a very dry climate Arizona USA waste is not really an issue we rake the pens for compost material for a garden area. I think temperature changes and diet changes are a big issue for miscarriages ! The diet for my goats changes with the seasons This ranch has like over 1,000 mesquite trees, when they leaf out and bloom out for their beans that is there main diet for six to eight months.

I deworm individual goats not the whole herd. It is very dangerous to deworm them us ivermetictim / paste dewormers. I sometimes use a pellet dewormer mixed with several bags of feed. to make such the can not get too much of it.
