Thank you for a really helpful video. I am hoping to do the AAT Level 2 in the New Year. I just hope l can do it as l have absolutely no idea about any of it!
@Willboardman that's a great relief! One other question......l have to pay £180 to do this course via AAT . After this, do l have to continue with paying membership every year to them? Years ago, my husband had to pay in order to keep his qualifications. The website said yes, but when l rang AAT, they said no , so it's a bit confusing.
I am looking for doing an accounting course to get the remote accountant job. So i am bit confused which course i should do , like is it better to do the AAT course or the remote accountant course?
So to get a distinction you’ll need to get an overall 90% across the exams. Different exams have different weightings but if you aim for over 90% in all of them you’ll achieve a distinction.
@@Willboardman ok but I'll be honest with u my teachers at collage are shi! so I was looking to buy a book or a course for all of these aat level 2 courses. can u recommend me the best ones plssssss
You can absolutely swap to level 3 accounting, just keep in mind that you’ll not have covered any costing or the business units so it might be worth picking a level 2 book up for the concepts but I wouldn’t say it’s 100% needed.
Hi Will, I am torn between going through the AAT route and the university route. Apart from the pace, is there any benefit to getting a degree in Accounting and Finance over going the AAT route in terms of employment?
Very very little, i would always recommend the AAT over university for accounting. Go to uni if you want the social side but the debt is far from worth it!
Hi! Yes that is possible to do :). Obviously what it does means is that you’ll not have the knowledge from costing and business environment to help with the level 3 versions but yes it’s possible :).
@Willboardman thanks, I am doing accounting L2, but I have resit 3 times BENV, and I am not passing. I am thinking of applying to get a bookkeeping certificate instead of accounting. And do L3 accounting (if this is possible to do it).

That’s no problem at all, level 2 is designed in a way that you need no prior knowledge.

I'm doing AAT level 2 (accounting) how do I get the distinction and how to revise for it (I'm only 16)

Can we start level 3 with out passing level2
Yes it is feasible, all I would say is that by starting on level 3 you’re effectively saying you’re happy with everything in level 2.
@@Willboardman hello hello
Hi if I completed AAT level 2 bookkeeping, is it possible to switch to Accounting level 3 later? do I need to retake the exam?

Can you do AAT Level 2 in accounting and once completed apply for the AATQB license as you’ve done the 2 units of bookkeeping as well?
Hi, you’ll need to do the level 3 bookkeeping units (FAPS, and TPFB) in order to apply for AATQB
How can I sit exams remotely. I have to re sit some exams left to do can I sit them remotely?
If you contact an exam centre they should be able to book you in on a remote exam :)!

Hi Will, do you know if we can move from L2 Bookkeeping to L3 Accounting? Is this possible, or do I need to do the other 2 exams( BENV and POCT)?
