Hi, I am new to your channel and love your videos, I am planning to get my 2 star in kayaking so that I can do something like what you do. Will I need any form of license or approval to kayak through the mangroves, also what is the route you would normally take to kayak in pulau ubin to the camping sites and back to Changi Beach?
Hey thanks for watching! :) I don't have any star rating fyi but since I own my own kayak, that's alright. Some rental places require a star rating, likely for liability purposes. You don't need any license or approval to kayak through the mangroves nor do you need a license or permit (specifically) for camping at Mamam Beach; at least before Covid. I'm not sure what the Coronavirus restrictions are for camping there now but that one you have to check with NParks. The path I usually take is from Pasir Ris through the Jelutong river, and out via Sungei Nordin. Then I hook a right to head to Mamam Beach (after exiting from the fenced up area). The return is exactly the same except in reverse. You only need to watch out for the tides. Too low and you'll get beached, too high and you won't be able to fit under the sluice gates near the start of Jelutong (necessitating a portage). If you're coming from Changi Beach, it's probably easier to go round Chek Jawa; unless your goal is specifically to kayak in the mangroves. As an aside, if able, take off your mask when kayaking (or even boating). You don't want to drown through a wet mask.
good
Ahhh.. so painful scratching the kayak
I award you all guys the best team work kayaky
Hey bro. Is there anyway we can get in touch?. I see you’re pretty experienced with the routes in and around Ubin. Need some pointers.

Not particularly so. The kayaks are the most expensive and the rest are little bits and bobs that don't really cost too much.
