Hi ! Many years back, when studying in France & England, I had known two Hakka students at the University of Soton (Southampton). They came from the province Of Selangor, Malaysia; Their grandparents were from Moyan, Meixan, China. I was told that the Hakkas in Malaysia was a little minority among the Chinese there. When u mention Serang Village , where is it found? A few years back, I visited Kuala Lumpur & its surrounding, I did not a genuine Hakka Restaurant serving Hakka Dishes. Maybe I did not look hard enough? I think, nowadays, our Hakka Dialect is no more spoken by the actual young generation of Hakka origin.
@@anpleidhceeireannach9498 Hakka people immigrated from mainly rural new territories during the early sixties. I think Belfast has a larger Hakka than Dublin.
where do they got to know about this gathering? Am interested as I'm UK-based and speak fluent Hakka myself but I only have my children to converse with (whom I have taught to speak in Hakka)

老實講，六十年代同七十年代的時候有很多香港新界客家人為了謀生和尋找更好的生活很多人都移民了來英國，好多人都落地生根在英國了，現在香港大多數的客家村都是十室九空的反而在英國的英倫三島有很多客家人的後代居住，好似呢班在倫敦開會的青少們努力去尋根及宣揚客家文化真值得表揚和贊賞❤

很有意義，有時候年齡到了，自動血脈就會覺醒，像我以前不會聽客家山歌，只有在我小時候，聽我爸爸釣完魚隨手編一首山歌來唱，現在年紀到了，也自動找一些山歌來學。
