- Another bucket list ground ticked off for me. Had been dying to visit Pilot Field for ages so glad to have finally done it, just a shame the team don't live up to it at the minute.

Great to see you at Hastings. Come back in the better weather! Incidentally, the pitch is so far from the crowd because years ago the was a speedway track around the perimeter. The cinder track was still there in the 90s, but grassed in more recent times.
@@RogerKing-eo9hp I definitely wouldn’t say no to going back! Wouldn’t have minded seeing more of the old town too.
I knew the field had to be used for something else but couldn’t find anything online and the name gave nothing away
I enjoyed that. Excellent idea to show us a glimpse of the Town. Had to smile that one end seems to have been built to hold several hundred and the other end (well looks like they ran out of room !) I think you can be happy with your vid although you did repeat yourself saying you 'liked the ground' several times....perhaps do a summary of points at the end. Best of luck to Hastings (nice atmosphere) and I agree that there are some good names in that division. Bring us another Isthmian Premier game soon.
@@darrellwilliams213 Glad you enjoyed! Even if I did carry out about how much I liked the ground. It was odd the main stand and the obligatory stand complemented each other well but that smaller one definitely looked like an after thought.
Don’t worry plenty more Isthmian Premier to come from me, have been meaning to go to Horsham and Whitehawk for a while
Couldn't make the game due to illness but looks like we brought a lot. Up the Darts ⚫️ ⚪️
Good vlog mate
@@dart2691 Shame you couldn’t make it, there definitely was a very health and noisy Dartford following. Annoyed I didn’t catch the second goal the lad hit it very well! Get yourselves in the playoffs and I’ll pop back to Princes Park!
Can definitely vouch for the Hastings Old Town, good night out as well. Decent fans on both sides despite the apparent lack of quality. Even Sheppey United beat Dartford recently 😅
@@no_soy_rubio It definitely looked like it would be worth coming back for a night out one day. Not sure how I’d convince my mates to tag along though 😅
I'm a Hastings fan, I was there today. This is the worst U's side I've seen for many years! Heartbreaking.
@@michaeljohn9649 I was routing for you guys as I normally do for the home team, but I think U’s could still be out there now and wouldn’t have scored… real shame off the pitch the club seems to have a lot going for it
Is there still a rubbish tip behind one of the goals?
@@mattthegroundhopper9242 I am sorry to say I didn’t overly look behind the stand. It didn’t stick out to me but equally with how the rest of the ground is I highly doubt they picked it up 😅
Used to love sitting down on a grass bank and watching a non league football match 👌 glad I got to experience that before they started fencing them off and making them no go zones at most non league football grounds! 😢
@@StephenWeedon I don’t really see what the problem with sitting on the grass bank is 🤷♂️ sadly there aren’t many places you can do it anymore. Would’ve been a good view here at Hastings too
@the_footballtourist Agree i mean how dangerous can a bit of grass and a slope be ? say compared to some solid concrete terracing! 😆
Yes, that grass bank was very well used back in the day by me and others. Watched a Cup Tie V Notts County with 5,700 present and no danger…
Great video, but will you consider coming back to Dover this season yesterday we scored a 98th minutes winner only for cray valley pm to score in the 99th and we drew 2-2
@@AlexHulks-uq9bs Of course man. I love going to the Crabble, for me going to new grounds is usually the priority but I look out for every Dover result and will definitely be back. Shame they couldn’t see it out yesterday :(
Ok, good luck finding new grounds COYW
@ I was tempted to go yesterday. Need the whites back in the National League South at least.
Out of interest were there any Cray Valley fans there?
@ I would say around 20-30 of them
@ As many as that! I went on a day when they could’ve clinched playoffs, free entry for all and there was at most 400 there
The Darts have a completely new, young team this season. It's completely different from the National League squad
@@mattlipsis5016 I have no doubt about that. Spoke to some fans and they blamed last seasons manager also saying they couldn’t believe you weren’t fighting for promotion last season let alone the relegation
You off to Dover vs deal
@@curtisjones6834 I’m already doing something else tonight. Not even football related 😳
Have you ever been to st albans city 😂
@@RaymondChristie-i7i I have but I feel like I wasted my first trip there as I went on a Tuesday night. Will definitely go back one day
