This is genuinely one of the lost interesting video essays I've seen. I loved this topic and your approach to it, as well as the writing and editing. Such an intelligent mix of art history and commentary on our current social media language/world. I love love love when I see anyone online blending genres and thinking in a way that feels original and curious!! Basically I'm obsessed with this! K bye 😘
Great job, Mary. I'm very impressed with your editing skills. Oh, yeah, the content was wonderful too. I keep learning new things about art that I didn't even know that I wanted to know about. 😊
I've seen some of your more recent videos, and then found this one also. Great job. I wanted to say "oh, such a smart person, and so witty." But man, does that sound insincere. So "great job" it is.
I shoot photography. For me it depends if the main subject has a majority of it's edges in a particular orientation (size here matters also). Secondary would be needing to include context. Example: because landscapes typically have a long edge at the horizon it's more pleasing to have it horizontal. There's so much more to this but I'll digress
Mona Lisa was not Lisa del Giocondo nor Lisa Gherardini; this is a historian's misconception. It would help if you went further than what Wikipedia says. Nonetheless, besides this minor detail, your work is brilliant, and I am a fan of your content.
Dang. That's interesting. Weird to consider how our everyday actions have an effect on culture forever more
Awesome video Mary! Interesting to think about what shape our content will be in the future 🔮

Thank you so much!
I love the way you edited this! Made this so engaging to watch 💕
Love the commentary of tiktok videos fulfilling the same purpose of a portrait, and cinema does what landscape did for artists.
I love your videos. I had no idea you were on RUclips. This is very well done.
This is the first of your youtube videos I have watched. It was fantastic!
Thank you and I look forward to watching more of your content.

This is really interesting! I never had much interest in art, but I'm slowly getting into it and your videos are really inspiring!

This was great. - So who’s Team Portrait and who’s on Team Landscape?
Landscape forever. I rotate my phone when recording a video.
When the team is just me, gotta be portrait 🙋♀️
This is really interesting. I'm intrigued to see what happens in the future
Excellent video

Wow! You actually make me want to forgive Gen Z for their portrait obsession. Great video!
