Oh my gosh, your house! It's so amazing! You can keep that island, just despawn it and it's saved with your character if you ever want to bring it back to look at it (but only one home island can exist at the same time). Thanks for the tips, especially the beacon one. I had no idea!
Wow, I can do that? I'd much prefer to save it than destroy all my work, thank you! (And thanks for the compliments too!) Glad to help with the beacon...usually you know EVERYTHING in my tips videos! 🤭
@@BuckeyeBunny If you didn't find the despawn option it's when you hit tab, on the top far right there's a little island symbol where you can click and load islands from either the steam workshop or the island creator in the main menu of the game. You can make custom islands that way also, though I'd recommend building structures in-game
I found a small island that I use by the name of Speed Demon. When I arrive, I despawn it and spawn the Mobile Warehouse with a massive herd and much farming. Farming tip: Layout plots in a 2 x 2 groupings. Use the dorktip in the center of a 2 x 2, and water in the same spot.
Sharpening and coating your weapons and tools. Sharper tools make the job easier and a Dorkip makes a handy spear when it's been sharpened and coated. Especially when one of those nodes is just out of reach of your sword. Love your house!! Thanks for the tips and happy gaming!
I agree! Sharpened my knife, and it shredded the little plant guys and plant pimples...but I hate wasting my hardstone on it until I have extra (I've been using it for decor, lol). 🤭
Great tips, very helpful! My tip is two other food buffs that give a huge boost to tool/weapon speed and damage. HYDRATED lets you swing your tool or weapon much faster. Try chopping a tree with and without and you'll see! You get hydrated from drinking clean water, which you can craft from charcoal and dirty water without a workbench. Drinks made with clean water provide health in addition to the hydrated effect -- great for combat. Recipes you can craft as soon as you unlock cooking are Broth (leaves + ground salt + water) and Soup & Smoothies (2 fruit/veg in any combination + water). Reishi mushrooms count as veg by the way. Grind some up to make inoculants to create a mushroom farm on your island! EFFICIENT makes your weapon do more damage, so fewer hits to take down an enemy. Two early game recipes are available with cooking, but require some grinder work to make flour from wheat and sugar from beets. They both add a lot of health too! Glazed chestnuts (Marrons Glaces) is chestnut seed + sugar + water. Blueberry pie is blueberry + sugar + flour. I'm not the best at combat but I find it's a lot easier with these two buffs.
@ sorry english isnt my first language perpendicular, lets say your windmill faces north or south, you would place another in the west or east direction. I need to check again if the wind powers the windmill from behind to be sure, but every time i checked before one of the two windmills is turning
The mykter grease icon has been updated. As has the carved woods. I'm at 120hrs but I spent a while building a full sized castle and custom island so I haven't unlocked everything yet. I have been to every island in my path and fixed all the broken eco systems. So heres my approx 16 tips. When you first load the game, collect your feathers and wool. When you load the game your critters are fed for a little while... Empty caves at the bottom of islands tend to have chests under the turf... If your on an island and see a bug, pick it up, it pays to have extra... Once you get to the second region and your on a fallen heights island (you still get first region islands in the second) look for a harvestable blue flower.
Dude, these are awesome tips!! Thank you for taking the time to share them with everyone! I didn't know about the animals being fed when you just load in, that's super helpful for me, and I didn't know about the curtain and shingle roof building tips either. Thanks a ton! 🥰
@@BuckeyeBunny I did post a link to a pic of my build too but I see YT filtered it haha. Wasn't sure that would go through. I was big on building in Ark Survival Evolved. Did a lot of BIG builds. Loving Alofts build system but its a tad laggy as you get bigger.
Darn it, RUclips!!! 🤣 Yeah, link didn't come through, but I actually had already checked out your channel and saw you were an insanely talented builder! I didn't know Ark had so much building in it! I get so confused by the different Ark games/DLCs and whether or not I could tweak the settings to make it an easier survival experience, so I just don't play it. But I see I'm missing out. Reminds me a bit of the building in Palworld.
I mean, that makes sense, and if they add breeding, that's where the male pheasants and buck goats will likely come into play...but they're too cute just to have the female pheasants around. 🤭
No, I don't do lives anymore and just stick to reviews/tips/news videos mostly. Whenever I make "let's play" videos, they get few views for the amount of editing time I put into them. So idk 🤷♀️ But thank you for the compliments.
You are too sweet, thank you! But another viewer commented that I can just respawn and save it if I want to start a new island. Better than destroying it. ❤️
You know, I'm STILL trying to figure out how to use that darn thing. It seemed to do nothing, so I need to fiddle with it some more. If you have any tips on it, I'm all ears! :)
Awesome video, also very addicted. Also I'll apologize in advance for this corrective thing but Gnocchi is like no-chi... it's asian dish so a little confusing. I'd argue that Aloft is also basically pocket bonsai, so just going around and claiming different islands might be more fun than you'd imagine
If you haven't you might want to do a tips video JUST on how to fix ecosystems, a lot of people don't seem to know what bugs (and worms!) go where, how to use bird houses to avoid abandoning animals, how to tell which plants the island already has and needs, etc.
I actually had a massive collection of very basic tips but was afraid to include them as I've seen tons of other videos that cover the basics and felt most people would already know them, but I could totally make a beginner tips video. Thanks! :)
1. Use food buffs to increase your health and effectiveness before going into the battle (see my post elsewhere in the comments for details if you need 'em.) 2. If your health is too low, glide away to a friendly island to heal up before re-engaging. To heal look at your feet and use the Lay Down prompt. Very fast, free healing. 3. Re-engage. You can leave/re-engage as many times as you need to beat the fight. Your combat effectiveness will improve. Fighting itself unlocks special combat skills that give you special combat moves. Also, as you progress you'll get access to better food buffs and weapon enhancements. They all have useful effects to easier combat easier (and more fun). Hope this helps!
Stand next to the trunk. If its a 3 tentacle tree the tentacles swish attack won't hit you and if your careful the spear can hit the node while in this safe spot. BUT kill all the minion you can find before doing the tree as you will need all the fibre you can get.

using clean water increases the chance to getting new seeds after a crop harvest

Thanks for the tips, really enjoyed your easy to listen to voice and style!
You can also build a second windmill perpendicular to the one you have, connect it to your set up, and you’ll always have power 😊
My brain is trying to compute this and failing! 🤣 I'll have to give it a whirl, literally!
