I actually play her videos repeatedly to sleep to. Ear piece in my ear and zzzzz. Zzzzzzzz. But only videos I’ve seen few times so I don’t miss anything.
1/2 of a large cucumber - unpeeled 1 1/2 cups plain full fat Greek yogurt 2 large garlic cloves - finely minced 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil 1 tablespoon white vinegar 1/2 teaspoon salt Some dry mint Cut the cucumber finely and drain the water Add the yoghurt and mix in all the other ingredients Always eat chilled Lots of love from Cyprus - a small green island in the meditteranean!
So I love watching your videos. Usually when I watch the grocery hauls I'm thinking wow everything is so expensive. But for the first time I can honestly say that wow those eggs were really cheap. This is January of 2023.
I think the price of fresh produce in Costco it way above supermarket and individual grocery store price points. I never ever give my husbands hard earned ££s for Costco overpriced fruit and vegetables. You could take your lunch in Costco with the amount of free samples 😂
Get Al-clad stainless! They are amazing - just need to know how to cook with them and they can't be beat. Plus, using all stainless and cast iron means no cancerous non-stick materials!
Agree, HexClad or Al-Clad. My Dad saw my pans and hated that he kept going through cheap pans. He asked for recommendations and after I kept saying “just spend the money” he bought an Al-Clad pan and loves it.
Cast Iron!! Switched from the typical pots and pans to cast iron and haven’t been happier. TIP: when thawing bread. Wrap it in a kitchen hand towel while it’s thawing. The edges will be soft.
My husband bought Health Craft cookware in 1989 when he bought his house we still use them to this day. The best set ever!! They still look great. They are so easy to clean too.
Hi Lauren I was born and raised up there in Alaska and moved to Jacksonville Florida a year and a half ago the difference in what Costco and Walmart and other stores have here compared to there is so different I am use to what the Alaska stores have LoL love your videos
I don’t know if you read the comments from the older videos, but here goes, if I want something sweet as a snack, I take a whole package of dates apart and put them in a jar and then I have a couple pieces when I want something sweet to work
The pans I use are All Clad. I have had them already for 20 years and they look like new still. These are the type of pans that you can pass on to the next generation down the road!
All Clad are my "forever" cookware. It's pricey, but will last. I started out with the basics....saucepan, 12" skillet, etc. and added over time and had sufficient money to complete my set. Best decision I ever made. However, I passed on stockpots and dutch ovens.
All clad & cast iron. If taken care of, they will last forever. IMO, never put them in the dishwasher. Luv your videos - thanks for sharing your life with us.
Highly recommend All-Clad for pans. They are expensive but they LAST. My in-laws have had their 10pc set for over 20 years and they’ve lasted beautifully. Totally worth the price! We got the same set gifted to us for our wedding!
I don't use nonstick. I use higher end henkle, kitchen aid stainless, American standard from Amazon and a pandareno skillets. I've not purchased replacement pan's in over 20 years.
Yay….you saved the blueberries 👍. My husband put a box of blueberries on our roof of our car one time while getting ready to load up our groceries and forgot them and we drove home before we noticed and they were in the same place & just fine 😳 😂😂
I have the ninja premium pots and pans. I have had them for a year now. I love them! I do not put them in the dishwasher. They practically just rinse off clean. My husband loves them as well.
Best pans are circulon. They’re great. Have been using them for years. I bought the whole set from Costco years ago and still using them. Totally non stick. Highly recommend. ❤ from Australia.
Ofph 14.99 for the cinnamon loaves. Ours used to be 7.99/3 I haven't seen lately what it's been raised to. We are a house of 2 adults, I would buy it and leave 1 out for us, put one in the freezer and take 1 to my brother....I'm going to scour the freezer today to see if I still have one, sounds delish today lol
1 cucumber 1 1/2 cup Greek yogurt. 4 gloves of garlic. we love garlic here. 1 tablespoon of fresh dill. 2 mint leaves. pepper and salt. add half a lemon. 2 tablespoons of olive oil. grate the cucumber and drain it with a little salt over it. toss together the rest of the ingredients. if the cucumber has lost most of its moisture after half an hour. Trow it with the rest. I usually make it a day early. Then it tastes better. enjoy it. Greetings from the Netherlands
I bought a t- fal pan frying pan from my Costco last year and I love it. Doesn’t stick at all. I also have the pioneer woman frying pans. I also love all the doing products each Costco sells. Hope you have a wonderful week! 😊
Hi Lauren! When I watch your Costco haul videos, I am so blown away by all the big price increases. I used to work at a children's daycare as a cook and I remember the two milks together being only $5 and change, and now they're over $8! Everything has increased at least by 50% in the last couple of years. I wonder where the limit is??
I got rid of all my coated pans and chose to go back to stainless steel. I usually buy the pots and pans I need at Home Goods individually. I don't need them to match. I just need them to be at least okay quality. I also got rid of any knife with a coating on it.
Really enjoyed seeing all the things you have that we don't have here in the UK. Glad you didn't hurt yourself on the ice, and that you saved the blueberries
Congratulations on the no diet coke for a few days. In 2018 I tapered myself off of it and I'm here to tell you it's doable for sure. After the 1st year I'd think I'd want some only to take a sip of my sons' to think it disgusting now. Lol. Truly almost 5 years and I drink want and love it. Glad you saved the blueberries!!! Too expensive to run over.
Good morning Lauren from a chilly 39* in Tennessee. The freezer system looks so organized, a freezer can get messy fast . Enjoyed Costco shopping with you as always ! Blessings to you all! Loved seeing Luna and glad her new litter box is working out well !!
Hi Friends, loving the prices on screen or showing us the item and verbally giving us the price rather than pointing to the sign. Really appreciate this 👍
I have faberware millennium stainless and love them. The trick is to heat the pans up very well before using them. I also have 1 cheap nonstick skillet and a set of 3 cast irons. I've had all of my stuff for 10+ years and those stainless are still like brand new!
Glad you are getting off sodas. My friend lost a football scholarship to Notre Dame from kidney failure drinking a case a week. Completely destroyed his future educational options. When Pepsi cleans greasy diesel loading bay with the stuff, it's obvious what it could do to our insides. I've not popped a can in over 30 years. Those pecans are a sweet treat and I add a few raisins.
Zaziki: half Skyr, half the Joghurt with the Most fat you can find, Salt (more than you think you need, add little by little and if you think „okay, That was too much“ add just a pinch more ), finely chopped onion (just a little bit), roughly shredded cucumber (a lot!) and crushed garlic by taste. Stir well and chill at least some hours. It tastes Even better, if you Salt the cucumbers and press the water out After an hour before adding to the Skyr. Then the zaziki itself needs less Salt of course. I also like to and chopped mint or chives. If the yogurt has less then 10% fat: add Olive oil
I, too, considered hexclad. After watching reviews, they are not living up to the claims. Americas test kitchen found they stuck(eggs) almost right away after using. I keep hearing more negative reviews. Funny how when you are interested in smthg you tend to see/hear about it more often. I’ve not tested myself so? 🤷♀️
Good evening! We don't have a Costco but have a CostULess, which is pretty similar. Yes, eggs are always available here but have gone up in the price about $4.00 more along with our rice. Enjoyed your shopping haul. Thanks for sharing. Hafa adai and love from the island of Guam 🌴❤🌴
I generally use All Clad and Le Creuset. But I bought the Tramotina stainless steel for my Alaska house. They are not made in China which I appreciate.
Lol cut back on the game venison, bear, moose if you want to feel energetic. It's a heavy meat to process thru your body. As you get older some drs say cut back a tiny bit to less when you feel a lul. you go girl looking for you to start showing us some more sledding & snowmobiling, cross country skiing, trail biking with the boys. Looks so tiring lol they r getting so fast
Hahaha I thought 459.00 finally after two months we are going to town to stock up on grocery’s. I hope I can find them pineapple and bacon sausages, they sound delish. ❄️🇨🇦❄️
I have the entire hexclad , you season it like cast iron but are dishwasher safe, I know you cook moose and fish , with moose it’s nice good sear on a roast then pop it in the oven , fish , little oil and no issues , to me worth all the $$$
Omg you have to try gyro (which you say it correct btw) in a pita bread with tzatziki , potatoes, sliced onions if you like them and sliced tomatoes, sprinkle some paprika and make it a "roll", it's a delicious greek souvlaki!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ kisses from Greece
Hexclad are the BEST! Yes, they are spendy, BUT I have had mine for 2 years, and they look like I just got them still. Well worth the price. Also, something to note if you can get them at costco, it's better because they sell the commercial ones that are apparently more heavy duty. They truly are amazing, and my kids don't ruin them with metal utensils since you can use that in these pans
Greetings from Germany 😄 This video was so interesting I just had to comment There is lots of stuff they don't sell here but my favourite was the bear spray But prices are heavy in Alaska 😮
When I make tzatziki I use natural Greek or Turkish yogurt that I put in a coffee filter to get as much water out of it as possible. I grate or chop up (in small pieces) cucumber that I’ve taken out the seed part in the middle. I add a little bit of salt, a couple of cloves of pressed garlic, some semi ground black pepper. Stir it well together and let it sit in the fridge for at least an hour before serving. Oh I forgot to say, I shave the cucumbers as well. Unfortunately it is difficult for me to give you exact measurements because I’m from Sweden and we don’t use the same measurements. But I know how much a cup is I think. That said, I think I’d use one big cucumber to 2 - 2 1/2 cups of yogurt, 2 medium sized cloves of garlic and salt and pepper to taste. Good luck.
Great Costco shop and haul. So many delicious fruits and veggies. Enjoy! Congrats and good luck with no Diet Coke. Good for you. You’ll feel so much better.
Glad you didn’t get hurt when you slipped. I’m always surprised when I hear your prices for fruit and meat. Here in Queensland, Australia where a lot of produce is grown locally we still have to pay such high prices. Apples $5.90kg, bananas $3.50. Rib fillet $52.kg, mince $8.kg. Fuel has dropped its back down to $1.69 litre. I love salmon and try to include it weekly but it’s now $46 to $50 a kg. Love luna and her zooming greeting, I thought only dogs did that. My dog greets me like that. With all those samples I wouldn’t need lunch 😅.
I am loving my (new-ish) stainless steel pots and pans from Target - the Made by Design brand. I bought them a la carte, versus buying the set. They have a nice heavy bottom and cook very evenly.
Love the Costco haul. I just got my own membership. I always buy the children memberships for Xmas but now I have mine😊 thank you for all the good ideas.
The Yellowbird hot sauce is very good, also I like to use Sonoran spice company Carolina Reaper flakes and and add 1/8 tsp to my favorite pickles, shake put back in fridge wait a week and you've got amazing pickles.
I can give the exact date I went cold Turkey off Cokes like an alcoholic can give their sobriety dates. I had tried multiple times to quit for many years but after developing ulcers ( dr said not related to cokes) I quit that day and didn’t have the headaches or cravings. I only drink water.
You give me hope that I can give it up for good. I have gone off before and not seen much change. I think I just drink it out of habit so I am glad to be done with it. Sticking to water most!!
I always crave something sweet after lunch too! So i've made the switch to eating a couple of dove chocolates instead of a sugary coffee drink (my weakness). Thanks for taking us along to Costco, sending warmth your way from Hawaii ◡̈
Wow! Now that is what I call a convenient shop. Wish our pantries were as full as this one, but guess the distance they need to travel is the reason. And to have a Costco would be be wonderful, we have 2 major supermarkets but certainly not the amount of stock these stores hold,
The ground bison is amazing. We didn’t get a chance to do a hunting trip this year so that’s been a nice thing to have in our freezer. I think ours in Juneau is 19.99 for a two pack.
Stanley and Seaforts is the restaurant we have down here in Tacoma, WA!When I watched your anniversary vlog, I was just as confused when you said your restaurant was called Simon and Seaforts! 😂 Same ambiance, same decor, same menu! It’s our anniversary spot, too ❤️ Thanks for sharing!
HEXCLAD is the BEST! I love cooking. I have spent way too much on pot and pans set that don't last. YES, they are expensive, BUT, you get your money's worth, a thousand times over. Trust me. I know pots and pans!
Tzantiki Greek youghurt Cucuember ,garlic olive oil,dry mint saltand mix it all togheder And enjoy With love from Cyprus The gyro is nice to make ut in pita bread put somw tzanziki add your salat with littel onion cut it in small pices and than add your gyro on top roll on the pita bred and than enjoy it . Enjoy your gyro .
I too have All Clad, but you can get just as good but cheaper with Made In (they've cut out the middle man, buy direct online). Those brands are made in the USA.
I appreciate the veg/fruit hauls.., my red onions were 5.99 (.749/pound) at Costco… AZ I love water… because it’s just the best for you. Good luck with choices
great save of the blueberries! I try to arrive at costco at 9 45 am so i can get a good parking spot. I only go to costco once a month since we live in the valley.
Truthfully I don't think your prices are that far off from southern Ohio at the moment. A little higher but not horrible like I thought they would be and I love how you tell us it is a per pound cost. I actually bought a Sam's Club membership at the end of December for $25.00. We have more of them in a close area than Costco. They were running a new member special. We are not a large family by any means but I am looking forward to my first trip and told my son to be ready for a long one as I plan to do a little research with things that are shelf sustainable (that we eat a lot of) and paper products. Should be fun! He is looking forward to it also. So glad you and the boys liked your package! Those milk straws were a favorite of my sons and didn't know they still made them so was a fun find on Amazon. The "brand name" of those lickers that are all over is "Slime lickers" but I went more with reviews and quantity for you all as they are stupid expensive EACH for what they are...LOL! Kid reviews were they liked these just as much if not better. Yes, those are Amazons brand of the bowl covers and each color is a different size. They are suppose to be washable and reusable but that is up to you. Bless you all and stay warm! We got about 6" of snow today in a very short amount of time today and looks like an active winter week ahead!
Great haul as usual! Thanks for sharing! I was wondering if we could get a tour of the wall of pictures that's in your living room? Sending love & positive vibes from RI 🥰🤗
What a calming voice you have. Like watching your videos. Im retired so watching you is how I travel to Alaska. Have a good day!
Agree, sometimes on my most stressful days winding down with this Alaska life is just so relaxing I love their family and enjoy watching the videos!
Very calming
I feel guilty that I was thinking yesterday that a couple of youtube vloggers have harsh voices. I do so enjoy her nice voice!
She’s also very articulate. You can tell she’s pretty smart!
I actually play her videos repeatedly to sleep to. Ear piece in my ear and zzzzz. Zzzzzzzz. But only videos I’ve seen few times so I don’t miss anything.
1/2 of a large cucumber - unpeeled
1 1/2 cups plain full fat Greek yogurt
2 large garlic cloves - finely minced
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
Some dry mint
Cut the cucumber finely and drain the water
Add the yoghurt and mix in all the other ingredients
Always eat chilled
Lots of love from Cyprus - a small green island in the meditteranean!
This is the recipe i use except i use dill instead of mint
Thanks for sharing I’ll be trying your recipe
Thank you for sharing your recipe!
@@jenstewark8087 I do the same . Prefer dill over mint
Ps. I think cast iron, a nonstick for eggs and stainless steel are a good combo.

Hi love watching you shop.
Good morning Lauren. I’m so glad that you didn’t get hurt in the ice. Thank you for taking us along. Have a wonderful day!!😁❤️
Me too!! I caught myself. I hate slipping on ice, but the blueberries went for a ride!
Good morning from Montana I like watching your channel hope everyone is staying safe and warm
Cast iron is the best way to go! Lodge had great essentials for cooking.
Glad to see your kicking the soda. I stop in 2006 and don’t miss it.
Yeah HexClad is basically the new generation of Al-Clad, cast iron and stainless still all in one…they re awesome to cook with!
Excellent recovery of the blueberries!!👋 Love to watch your Costco hauls and see all of the different products!! 🤩
Thanks so much! 😊 it was a little nerve wracking. Have a wonderful day
My kitchen shears are 27 years old and work perfectly 😉 For pots and pans I highly recommend Lagostina.
I don't use nonstick.
I use higher end henkle, kitchen aid stainless, American standard from Amazon and a pandareno skillets. I've not purchased replacement pan's in over 20 years.
I'm glad you're looking over the vegetables and fruit better
Yay….you saved the blueberries 👍. My husband put a box of blueberries on our roof of our car one time while getting ready to load up our groceries and forgot them and we drove home before we noticed and they were in the same place & just fine 😳 😂😂
LOVED all of your vlogs! 😘😊❤ thank you!
Great Blueberry Save. The crumble cookie gift card packaging is way to cute.
We use The Rock pots and pans and we love them! No sticking and super easy to clean afterwards 🙂
Would love to see more of our Alaskan kitchen videos!
Thanks for the suggestion. I have been hiding our cooking videos in other longer videos but I think it is time for a This Alaska Kitchen video too!

I find stainless steel I've had mine fir 30 years and still look new and I do a lot of cooking, love your videos 💓
The Ninja pots and pans are great. I bought the set in December, no complaints. No sticking, clean up is quick, and I can throw them in the oven.

Gyro is pronounced yee-ro. The word means 'round' in Greeek. It is to represent the motion of how the spit rotates around while the meat is cooking.
I need to get myself a Costco card 🤣 Luna the bag inspector 🐈😸😺
I found your channel from Salina Alsworth's channel! You two were both at the Anchorage Alaska costco at the same time.

The Yellowbird hot sauce is very good, also I like to use Sonoran spice company Carolina Reaper flakes and and add 1/8 tsp to my favorite pickles, shake put back in fridge wait a week and you've got amazing pickles.
Thanks for the tips!
good morning from pa awesome video
Watching from Delaware, love the drives around town.
Awesome job saving the blueberries!!
Can u provide the prep/ recipe for your banana spinach, please? You mention it so often, it makes my mouth water. Really enjoy yr channel.

Love that! I may need to take that up to avoid a bigger treat later.
Oh no. Glad you didn’t get hurt (and saved the blueberries).
Wow! Now that is what I call a convenient shop. Wish our pantries were as full as this one, but guess the distance they need to travel is the reason. And to have a Costco would be be wonderful, we have 2 major supermarkets but certainly not the amount of stock these stores hold,
Pans!! Flavcity cookware set! I just got them, and they are amazing. However do require special cleaning. Not dishwasher safe.
The ground bison is amazing.
We didn’t get a chance to do a hunting trip this year so that’s been a nice thing to have in our freezer. I think ours in Juneau is 19.99 for a two pack.
Hi For pot and pans we buy Stainless steel.
Luna is so funny!!! She's so happy your back home!!!🥰
I have the Kirkland brand and I love them. I use wooden or the plastic utensils and I have no problems.
HEXCLAD is the BEST! I love cooking. I have spent way too much on pot and pans set that don't last. YES, they are expensive, BUT, you get your money's worth, a thousand times over. Trust me. I know pots and pans!

I too have All Clad, but you can get just as good but cheaper with Made In (they've cut out the middle man, buy direct online). Those brands are made in the USA.
I love your Costco hauls!
I appreciate the veg/fruit hauls.., my red onions were 5.99 (.749/pound) at Costco… AZ
I love water… because it’s just the best for you. Good luck with choices
I would recommend Castaway pan. You can find them on line. The a pricey but are good quality.
great save of the blueberries! I try to arrive at costco at 9 45 am so i can get a good parking spot. I only go to costco once a month since we live in the valley.
Hello, loved your vlog today, love the email with the option to get your merch, Gonna order soon.
Was at Costco yesterday here in Delaware and they were selling bear spray had a good laugh😅.
