This is so spot on in many ways! I wldn’t call it a dark side as a bad thing we all have a side that can be dark depending on how you define that personally but, we typically “DO NOT” want ot hurt anyone but, many times other personalities mistaken our kindness for weakness which is completely false! Like its say we try hard and give chances until ppl press our limits it take advantage of our sometimes go with the flow persona! This can sometime shock ppl when they think they can get to us intentionally! We are pretty wise to head games & when we see or know someone is getting intentionally bullied or hurt we wld die trying to stand up for whats right and kind vs allowing ppl to walk all over Us! That wld be our breaking point by then! Being empathetic can be exhausting at times and negative ppl bcuz we don’t ha e time to waste on negativity we are passionate & open minded even though other personalities see INFJ’s as opinionated or close minded which is vastly the opposite! Many I’ve spoke too see talking abt a topic or belief for Them/INFJ is brainstorming vs an absolute opinion until we know factually then we WILL STAND UP for whats right no matter what for the best of humanity & sometimes even putting other well being before the self even if they have strong boundaries in general! INFJ’s like any other personality types aren’t perfect we know this however, we get frustrated-sometimes bcuz we get unfairly judged by other personality types But, sometimes we have to door slam ppl that we realize “choose to use our kindness to there benefit instead of choosing to meet us kindly in the middle or don’t respect our boundaries, care enough to listen vs judging when we know nobody is perfect and likes to be unfairly judged so those doing it to US need to look in the mirror work out there own kinks in there personality & stop judging Us! The genuine ppl are the ones that seek to understand others vs criticize! Thanks for the synopsis it was so well said in many ways! Somehow many I’ve spoke too feel exactly the same way! Maybe bcuz many have creative minds that can be abstract at times and others brains that don’t see things abstractly see difference as negative when many choose to see it as a blessing we all are different in thinking styles bcuz embracing that different types of thinking is what makes the world fun, interesting etc….. Besides, who wants everyone to be the same, think the same, act the same l? Life wld not only be boring but nobody knows it all and learning from one another different ways of doing & thinking & learning can bring abt some of the most brilliant inventions etc….. and amazing lives to lead
This is all ONLY FOOD FOR THOUGHT and by all means NOT ME pointing at anyone at all ! Okay, fine maybe towards mean, judgement ppl that think they have it all together & want to put us Unique INFJ’s down for being different in how we do things but, knowing this a wise person wld seek to know 1st the realize we are human like them and typically want the best for all mostly until someone intentionally hurts us
My wife of many years seems to be like this, few select friends, a ton of common sense, can spend hours alone working on something of interest, very dedicated and affectionate around me.
We have been happily married for many decades and still visit during meals, flirt at home, and hold hands in public.

Limit to humor is when people make fun using others or while using their jokes to subtly stab others in the back or hurt their emotions intentionally. Nothing less funny than a lack of empathy and a cruelty towards others.

still great, We're empaths, highly sensitive people, Whose Social battery drains quickly. So hard to
explain. Others think
they're fine, So I should be. I've developed PTSD from several situations in life. Most recently even more. I'm a spiritual person and tender-hearted, and aggressive, mean spirited people hurt me deep. And I WISH I could roll it off my back. Can't.... I've tried. I think of the four agreements and I understand wear he's saying, but mean, it just goes so deep.

Thank you for this video. Simply put , do not take for granted a genuine, giving, nice woman. Once they are gone , they are gone and you will not find that same depth of love again guys. Honestly I don't see INFJs as being too much, I think it helps see the lack of enough from others. If you were genuinely too much, you would stoop down to other people's levels..... nope....it's just hard to find others who are high enough to meet the INFJ standards. There's a difference. Don't settle for the bare minimum
@@amyitis 1000% correct in that assessment. i've been single for almost 8 years after an almost 20 year relationship where we just amicably grew apart from each other and had to respectfully move on. i've definitely come into my own in this time and know exactly what i will and won't put up with from a significant other or anyone else for that matter, that may come along. unfortunately, i also had a wee run in with a narcissist early this year and was very lucky that it didn't destroy me mentally. when the devil can't get hold of you, he sends a narcissist apparently. very brutal lesson to learn to say the least. in saying that, the last several years are also a testament to how far i've come, how strong i am, self sufficient, passionate about giving a voice to those that don't have one, to always stand in my truth no matter what. basically we're a weird and wonderful walking contradiction to pretty much everything that society has been told to conform to, because their indoctrination is literally so deeply embedded that they think we're the crazy one's haha. it is what it is. and i soooo appreciate every experience and lesson i've had in my 47 years on this earth. as it has shaped me into the person i am right here and right now. worthy of nothing but the absolute best. i won't settle for anything less than that lols 😜😝❤

Men in my life do respect me. Do they understand me? No 😅 I keep hearing " I cannot read you" which at first was surprising I thought I was an open book. But clearly not. How do I respond to disrespectful men? I don't.
It's amazing isn't it. We are the most straight forward , honest women , yet men find us hard to read ! Overthinking on their part I think, or maybe that is convenient for them, especially when they want their cake and eat it, that's when our emotion is used against us. All I know is they miss / appreciate us only when we are gone.

Thank you, this is so true. I've met an Entp and have started to open up. I love it when i a seldom tell him about an accident i was in or so, and he laughs and we makes jokes of it. Yes, i pretend i believe. I don't want to confront ppl i don't really care about. Why the efford. Also: we have different opinions and different knowledge. Depends on a sitation, but why correct somebody. He/she/they/it may learn from life in time.

INTP, here: On N°7, how can the INFJ be sure they’re correct on something? My mom is probably an INFJ who has definitely been frequently wrong on many topics, exploding in anger over very little, and it became a challenge to deal with her. The worst nightmare in my life involved having a wife being like her, overreacting in rage to something inconsequential. In it, I didn’t feel like any tactic could calm her down, and I was being very calm and respectful. Maybe that sort of pattern isn’t possible in an INFJ if her logical side is well-developed per N°4, but I can’t say that for certain.
Constant humility and a healthy sense of self-skepticism is ideal for all MBTI’s, even INFJ’s.
On N°1, I can know something is true, but it feels like a lie, especially when it’s so surreal or dark, I wonder how someone might wonder how it’s truthful or well-intentioned. Supposedly, my grandpa on my mom’s side could regularly fail lie detector tests on basic questions the administers knew were being answered truthfully.
By your description it doesn't feel like your mom is an INFJ. I don't know whether it just me or other infj's can relate, I rarely get angry and most of the time I'm known to be calm and patient to a fault, yet I'm also very direct in a soft subtle manner. My words maybe direct sharp and hurtful when I'm really angry, but usually I don't raise my voice but give my dialogues bluntly with few words or sentences. This usually scares people since it comes from a place of emotional detachment. Maybe your mom is a turbulent type or depressed, then again I'm not sure.
I'm an INFJ and always avoid conflict. The only time I went into a rage was when my landlord broke into my home when I was not there!
@Shavindi Karunarathna I understand your thoughts, but my mom wasn’t always aggressive. Both myself during her 30’s, and her siblings from before I was born, say she was different, and more traditionally INFJ-like. But in her 40’s, something in her “clicked”, and she markedly changed. It may have been a coping mechanism from a life of trauma.
@Gail Nichols See my response, above to Shavindi Karunarathna. While rare, I do believe that with enough trauma, it’s possible to break bad and become something unrecognizable to their former selves, and other INFJ’s.
I have felt instantly angry when I saw a large injustice being committed (don’t know if this applies).
Also, it can be hard to admit you’re wrong if the truth will completely break apart an entire paradigm you’ve constructed based on your (usually good) intuition.
