I had one of these growing in my yard for 25 years. It got to about 12 feet tall and about 10 feet wide, and it finally tipped over. I trimmed it up into about 40 smaller plants all of them about 3 feet tall. I have an acre of land, so I planted all of them.😁😳🌸
A guy that I was helping with him save money on his energy bill gifted this cactus to me. My mom was taking care of it for me but now I took it back from her a few days ago. Unfortunately it looks like it had frost bite or a fungal infection it had a really big black spot and now it's healed over. I'm thinking of cutting the damage part off and propagating the uninfected part. I'm happy they propagate easily. I'm a huge CACTUS fan especially them san Pedro's or really tall ones. So beautiful. God bless sending love from my Jamaican flavored breadfruit roasting roots 🇯🇲❤️🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
I took the fruit from someone’s yard onetime and it tasted really slippery sweet and crunchy at the same time! Never had anything like it and I am planning to plant the seed now lol
I like that one! I love the flower on the apple cactus i have. It hasn't attracted bats that I'm aware of lol. Definitely keeping my eye out for this cutie. Oh... the orchid plants r the ones that don't survive with me 🤣. I'd say if u hav a plant ya really hate.....then bake it! 🤣😂
I have never owned an orchid, I always see them at the grocery store and have always kinda wanted one but for some reason, they intimidate me lol. As fo a plant to go in the oven... it would be a peace lily coincidently it already looks like its dying of heat stroke.
My mother planted her as a small cutting and I literally didn't even know what kind of cactus she was until the other day when I saw a palm-sized fruit growing on one of the limbs so I looked it up and found out everything, my mind is blown I am figuring out my propagation approach for her now :-)
And lastly, I did not eat any of the fruit as it had busted open due to being over ripe I guess but I'm absolutely going to tend more closely to her and hopefully I can try a fruit soon
Fun fact! The way this plant got into production is from the mutation and almost all of them on the market are cuttings since growing from seed typically results in a normal plant!
I've got one of these cactuses I could have swore it was called a monster cactus but ut I could be wrong the one I have is huge it belonged to my grandmother and I know she had it probably 35 or 40 years it grows very slow about an inch a year the one I have needs to be repotted because it is getting too big for the pot but I'm afraid to attempt it because I'm afraid I might kill it I want her mind about once a month and it's very healthy I live in Oklahoma City and I set mine out on my front porch in the summertime if for some reason it started getting little black spots on it when I moved it back in the house the black spots one away I guess it doesn't like the direct sunlight
WHAT! Hon, you're a cutesy looker, but I'm here to learn about monster cacti, and after all the nonsense I don't think I got one bit of help with my cactus problems. I hit the "dislike" because of this. Perhaps to leave with a positive suggestion...cut out all the "friendly useless chatter" and leave the information about cactus?

What is the difference between cereus peruvianus crested and myrtillocactus geometrizans crested?
I have one of these cactuses growing in my front yard, she's been there for about eight years and right now she is like 6 ft tall
My mother planted her as a small cutting and I literally didn't even know what kind of cactus she was until the other day when I saw a palm-sized fruit growing on one of the limbs so I looked it up and found out everything, my mind is blown I am figuring out my propagation approach for her now :-)
