Great video! I lived in Boulder for 25-years. Raised my kids there, the last 10 years in NOBO. Loved the 'Holiday Neighborhood', site of the old Holiday drive-in' of the 1960s and 70s. The drive-in sign remains as a historic landmark at Hwy 36 and Lee Hill Road. I was fortunate to be one of the first tenants in 2004 when it was built and enjoyed the community garden. Some of the units are managed by Boulder Housing Partners and are designated affordable housing units. I remarried in 2014 and moved away to be closer to my wife's work. Moved down the turnpike a few miles to Westminster / Broomfield area and provides a quick commute into Boulder for work. Now that my wife is retired, the Boulder cost of living has skyrocketed and is no longer affordable.
I was born and raised in south Boulder, lived right next to Viele Lake, (or as it’s now known Harlow Platts park) went to Mesa elementary, Southern Hills middle school, and Fairview High School. Lived there for 22 years until I moved to Denver around 2011. I try to get up there at least a couple times every year, but it has changed so much since then and feels totally different from the town I knew as a kid. Nevertheless, it’s still a beautiful place to live or raise a family… if you can afford it. Thanks for the video, that was a nice trip down memory lane! … and yes, you pronounced both Niwot and Tantra correctly. Good job 👍
The backround music is a nice touch to remove the awkwardness of the gaps in speach and the drone shot transitions are quite effective. I understand this video is a year old but for the small following on youtube that you have, the production quality is really good.
Great information and super engaging! Thanks so much! What are some areas that are less prone to risk of fire and smoke? or does that just come with living in boulder?
Thanks so much for watching this! When you're done, check out the virtual tour we did a while back!!

How is silence awkward? I think its natural.
Ive lived in boulder for 32 years
What is the neighborhood up in the mountains? It felt like the mountains were falling on top of us. It was so cool

How’s the homeless situation downtown?
Full currently 😏
@@myopinion4600 that sucks, but welcome to America right? Still looks like a chill place to live. Great video BTW!
The STP Family is long gone! 🙀🤠
I honestly feel like Longmont and boulder have a similar situation. Meaning it's definitely growing
Wheres the wind? So still looking
So sad that home ownership has become non affordable for millions of people
Gunbarrel is not further from Denver. You would drive East not through Boulder.
You walked past my first house there @ 8:00-02. Boulder was nice in 1971-73, before it was completely taken over by the communists! 😡🤬
