The team DEFINITELY considered themselves inferior and played with fear. My question is were they right or are they better in comparison to Germany than they showed? Hungary I can forgive because of Hungary's excellent game plan.
Let's forget about Brobbey, please - use him as a sub for the last 15 if desperate....I'd rather bloody Weghorst than Brobbey, all he does is back in to his marker and then fall down and in some quarters this has somehow made him a small revelation, as someone who "terrorizes" defences.....🙄. I was fearing a big defeat in this game and for the first 15 or so they were all over us...and I was thinking "Why the hell don't we have that sense of urgency and energy? Why are we always - almost always - looking for the pass backwards....why don't we take some fucking risks and try and create something with a pass that goes somewhere other than backwards or sideways?".....I actually thought Gravenberch was ok considering he basically had to run the midfield himself. As for Simons....what exactly are the reasons for his selection? It's beyond me......once in a blue moon you see a touch or a movement that makes you think he has something to offer but for the rest of the time he is just running around, losing possession, appearing too nervous to take on a man and being generally average, almost totally non-threatening and ineffective. I know we were missing some players but come on, we are just so frigging boring, tentative, negative and unimaginative - we are playing like fucking England for Christ's sake!!
Put Malen on as our #9. That's how desperate I am at this point. Yeah, Koeman is not good... but I've never seen a Dutch side with so few attacking options. Gakpo is the only bright spot for the front 3 and i agree with you... he was terrible in this game.
Hello Michael. Almost all the players play without heart or spirit or desire. No versatile tough mentality. It's as if they are not Dutch players. They seem to have no pride or sense of belonging by wearing the Oranje shirts. So sluggish and passive with no sense of urgency. The Timber Twins, Gravenberch, Brobbey, Simons should never wear the Netherlands Jersey again. They haven't performed well for the most part when wearing it. We can't keep giving them opportunities with each opportunity being costly and meaningful if we lose a game. Brobby is strong, but yet so slow and sterile. People tend to forget that Gravenberch was subpar in his first internationals and had to be dropped out. Today he was a disaster. Simons has done nothing for the team except for score against England. He constantly whines with his crying face and loses all challenges and balls. Malen besides the shot today, wasted all balls coming to him. He has been mostly an impediment on this national team (his wasted 1x1 vs Czech and own goal against Austria and other mistakes). No one played well today, but I can say that the only ones who seem to have cared were Verbruggen, Van de Ven, De Vrij, Hato, Reijnders, and Dumfries. Gakpo and Dumfries seemed so isolated so they couldn't show their worth. Gakpo does lose the ball a lot and tries to do too much. It seems that he can't figure it out. It's been like that for 5 years. Koeman is a very bad tactician and motivator and doesn't know how to play good football. He is yet to beat a top team in his 2nd tenure. Obviously Koopmeiners and F De Jong should come back. Weghorst and Frimpong also should feature more and both seem to care more. Geertruida and Zirkzee are not good enough. Geertruida has so many brain farts. Dumfries also cost the team so many brain farts like the penalties against Argentina and England and the disallowed goal against France. At least he shows that he cares. Nathan Ake also has heart for this team and I can't wait till he comes back. Please convey this message to Abdul.

I would agree. Rather lose against Hungary and Bosnia so Koeman can be sacked.

I've told you guys before Koeman is hopeless. Going nowhere with him as manager, poor team selection, his so called tactics is rubbish.
