Ted Lasso is the only one I think you may like. It is not super sad and the humor isn't overly goofy. It is more of a feel good show. You kinda just fall in love with the main character and watch it for him. I think a lot of high achieving women dont want to watch analytical or stressful shows bc we already have so much of that in our regular lives. We gravitate towards trashy tv because you dont have to think much, you just get to make snap judgements and everything is surface level. it is a very nice break. so if you think what i said resonates with you at all, then I think you might actually like ted lasso bc it didnt take much energy up and most episodes i walked away feeling quite happy.
I never could stand Friends either, but I loved Breaking Bad. It took about 3 episodes to get into it. The Office was the dumbest thing ever. Schitt's Creek was kind of funny to me only because I loved the character of the mom. The moonshiners and Alaska people are great! LOL You might like the series Alone, where they drop off 10 people in the wilderness and whoever lasts the longest wins half a million dollars. 1923 is good but season 1 is short - its a precursor to Yellowstone. Marvelous Mrs Maisel features a couple Jewish families in NY in the 50's and is funny. Sneaky Pete another one we liked. My two cents, for what it's worth.
You will laugh at this, I was watching Dexter from the beginning and I saw an advert for Manifest it made me think of you and this video and I thought I’ll give it a try!!!! SAAAAAM I’m completely into it I’m keeping real its good but I do laugh everytime I put it on “the calling” 😂😂😂
@@asmroctober I’m in it for the long haul but in the UK Season three isn’t on Netflix it goes straight to season four I’ll have to track down season three somewhere 😂😂
I'll say this about the office... The people who told you that about the pilot were right... It was based pretty heavily on an episode from the UK version and honestly I just didn't find it funny. It made Michael Scott unlikeable and the humor just felt very bland and the whole mood felt depressing.. I do think it's worth another shot though. I can't stand dumb comedy and the office is one of my favorite shows ever.
You got me messed up speaking bad about Breaking Bad. That’s one of the best TV shows from start to finish. You need to give that another chance. You won’t regret it!
