    My perspective on life was changed at such a young age. In 2021, my now husband was diagnosed with a pituitary tumor (in his brain). We’re both the same age, he was 25. We had big dreams !! He is a Biomedical engineer aka what seems to be a very prestigious job/ career to work in. He had to have surgery, chemo and radiation.
    Today he is tumor free and beat every odd the doctors told us about! Do we care about a big house , luxury cars and brands ? No. We are super thankful for our health everyday! It’s a blessing and I’m thankful he’s alive ❤️

    Stacey, this really resonated with me. I just left a 10 year relationship. I did everything for this man and he never proposed. I also paid for a lot of things and even paid for more than 50% of the rent and bills. I always had our home clean and did my best to cook (mind you I was in school and worked full time) I also had a baby with him and I found out he was in a 3 year affair with a coworker when my baby was 6 months old. I’ve been through hell and back and I’m still in therapy trying to heal.
    This gives me a new perspective on how to approach a new relationship in the future. I really enjoyed this video. You and your mom are like tias that I can go to for consejos ❤

      That terrible hun 10 years was a lot of time invested I only did it for 8 months and I just called it quits my x has 5 children he pays child support for 4 of them and he had 1 full custody and guess who bent over backwards for that little girl me he gave me the bare minimum and I would tell him you don’t need money understand but put some effort in our relationship it was becoming toxic I had to leave him I finally got the courage changed my number and blocked him on my social medias.

    • @dani5009
      @dani5009 2 месяца назад

      @@neinasjourneygirl I should have called it quits early on. The red flags were always there. I grew a codependence on him due to some mommy and daddy issues. And before I got pregnant he made it seem like everything was gonna be better. Pero ya estaba con la otra.
      Im glad you were able to get out somewhat early and break that toxic cycle. It’s sucks when kids are involved porque que culpa tiene ellos verdad. It breaks my heart for my little girl. He was an absent father many times to be with the other woman.

    A man of God & of character is all you’ll ever need. Un hombre así resuelve, te ama y te da tu lugar, busca proveer, usa su dinero responsablemente y te va tratar de dar lo mejor en lo económico y para tu persona & familia, period. That girl with the “broke” guy should stop looking at guys & their economic possibilities & look at them for who they are & their character bc him having money but spending it to lust over other women says more about who he is & how he feels about her than wether he is broke or not 🤷🏼‍♀️
    Y Dios bendiga a Deny! I cried listening to the part about Stacey’s dad. That’s love & humility 😭

      Yes! How does this girl feel like she’s being treated right when dude doesn’t put any effort in the relationship! He’s taking advantage of the fact that this girl is willing to pay for him to eat and to travel! I can bet this dude sits with his homies and laughs at her. She needs to find a better man.

    Anda el deni tiene corazón de oro y por eso se gana un pedazo del cielo por lo que hizo con tu papi. Eso es de lo que se trata esta vida hacer algo por alguien sin pensarlo porque es de lo que sale de tu corazón en hacerlo. Yo bañé a mi abuelita y ella me decía que xq lo hacía y yo le decía que no se preocupe yo no me fijo, es algo muy bonito bañar a un mayor de edad y especialmente si es un miembro de la familia. Yo creo que es una seña de amor. Porque estás en un punto muy vulnerable y si lo haces de corazón y sin juzgar es muy bonito❤️

    My husband went above and beyond for me while dating. Even when he lost his job he made the effort to still take me out on dates with his small savings. He never put an excuse and made the effort always. I gave him like 50% effort and I started putting in the extra effort when we got engaged. Now we’re married and he’s getting all of me and he shows me so much more love everyday! Love the podcast and your personal experiences and what Deni did for your dad ❤

    It sad that she had to ask what to do in this type of situation. If he has money to go see some girls shaking what they got and can’t put that money aside for her then right there says who he has respect for. It’s no one. She should definitely sit down and figure out what she wants in life and if he doesn’t align with that she should definitely leave 😊

    My opinion is if youre having doubts of a partner because your financially paying everything or inviting them everywhere, deep down you know youre not happy in that situation. The longer you stay itll be harder to leave, it all depends how you invision your future and unfortunately, it depends on finances as well. The man doesnt have to be rich but may he be giving and willing to spoil you and your future kids as much as he can. My dad works 2-3 jobs just to take my family on a vacation every year.
    A marriage is more than love or respect because its a union of a family and youre creating a lifestyle for ur future kids

    I’ve been married almost 9 years. My husband and I got married in 2015. I was 25 and he was 28. We both went back to school in 2016. He finished faster (2017) because he went to a trade school and I graduated from CSULB in 2022. We were down financially so bad from 2015-2020
    Things are better now gracias a Dios 🙏🏼He’s been a great husband and takes care of me and most importantly he supports my dreams. He invested in a laptop for me to edit my videos 🥹😭
    I wish all the women who watched this podcast a true, genuine, happy love ✨
    And I know Stacy has said this before, but pray for the man you want because I did and my prayer was answered ♥️🙏🏼✨

    I think the problem is the people like to live above their means. We are a one income household and couldn’t be thriving more. And I’m under the 40k🤷🏻‍♀️. We don’t live above our means , that’s where you find true happiness

    This has easily become my very favorite podcast. The conversations constantly builds me. And to add the conversation, I have been with a “wealthy man” that had made me feel so poor. A great man does not compare, but then again I am not the kind of woman that needs to be taken care of financially… actually even then with all that money I did not feel as taken care of as I do now.

    This episode resonated so much 😭 my bf makes well over $150k a year, yet in sooo much dept. He is trying to fix things but I sometimes I feel like leaving the relationship. I don’t see us buying a house soon, his priorities are different (cars, gambling) but then like you said, society makes us believe we should want a man with his shit already together, not a man willing to build with you. He treats me right, as in respect and loyalty but sometimes I feel like that is the minimum. What do you girls think? 😢

    • @danielaburack8572
      @danielaburack8572 2 месяца назад +2

      Hey girly, I think the most important thing you said is his priorities are different, its ok not to have it all figured out but if his priorities are different are u guys building something together? meaning working together towards a future, your goals as a couple etc. Also, i think the respect and loyalty is minimum as well. Just my opinion ❤

    Me interesó mucho este tema del que hablan yo creo que como mujeres también debemos estar abiertas y darle la confianza al hombre no importa si es novio o es Esposo de qué tenga esa plática incómoda acerca de los financieros y así como dice Elisa que haiga un balance pero que nos lo comuniquen Por ejemplo “ sabes que Baby pues ahora te voy a llevar a cenar a este restaurante caro pero el resto del mes vamos a comer en restaurantes regulares o incluso cocinamos ahorita no tengo mucho pero estoy trabajando bien duro para que en un futuro todo mi éxito sea nuestro”
