I have watched this so many times because I absolutely love the lot. I love the glint in that sly Fox Ali's eyes as he keeps a straight face while ripping into them. And all the time the Beckhams take it like absolute champs. Seriously likeable both of em, especially Posh. I never cared much for her, but since I saw this I really fell for her loveable character. She is seriously cute and together they are adorable. Also you just have to hand it to Ali G. He has the gifted understanding to go over the top but still keep it funny. Highly intelligent and funnier than a nob with Spongebobs face.
After many views, still great to watch!

When I first saw this on its original transmission, my jaw hit the floor and stayed there for the whole segment; interespersed with howls of laughter, cringing behind my fingers and spitting my cup of tea out!

What makes this as awesome is how the Beckhams were absolutely for the entire premise and in on the joke from the second they were on set. They WANTED those questions.

Todays televised humor is way more on the edge than this, aired almost 20 years ago. You just need to watch the correct shows, I guess. But I will give the late 90s and early 00s comedians this: In general, the comedy was smarter. Todays humor is more about the visual and the "who screams the loudest"-thing. Sascha Baron Cohen is still making shows which are way more provocative and funny than the general Hollywood comedian.
You are still allowed to laugh at whatever you want and not care what people around you think. Go look through the comment section beneath. Which do you see the most? "Snowflakes" actually commenting or people who just likes to say the word "snowflake" commenting?

watching the Beckham doco and have got to the part where they talk about the Posh crowd chant, and knew I had to come back and watch this again! What a great interview, and she is such a good sport!

Beckham's interview in 2013 just after he retired from playing (with PSG at the time) was actually very good. I think his former manager Ferguson had just published an autobiography slating many of his famous players on a personal level, Becks included, so there was a lot to be said on that occasion.
OOF! He roasted them! Gotta say though, Posh is very confident, has a great sense of humour and is not afraid to be the butt of a joke. All fantastic qualities.
Also, why did Becks only use one button on his shirt?
