FUN FACT: Michael Jordan had 291 turnovers in his rookie season. Further, he had 200+ turnovers in each of his first 8 seasons. Jason Kidd has the NBA single-game record with 14 turnovers in one game. Lebron James is the ALL-TIME leader in turnovers. Some others on that list: John Stockton, Karl Malone, etc. In the WNBA, Diana Taurasi is the all-time leader. Sue Bird is also on that list. I think you get the picture.

Well, I know very little about basketball, but I DO have a working BRAIN, and I can use my intellect to reason out the difference in making a pass that turns into a turnover, and making a pass that results in an assist, and how common sense means that neither of thos two outcomes are possible without MAKING the pass in the first place. So being able to reason out that situation, it boils down to, do I want to risk a turnover which may or may NOT result in a score for an opponent versus the possibility of scoring one for us. Since I want to win, the answer seems to be obvious. But what do I know?

You know I like CC. But he is sort of right. Just sort of. CC is loved because of her high scoring, and we are all waiting for the scoring machine to come back. On the other hand, we are not as stupid as him, and we'll give her time to settle down. Main problems of CC are Dunn and Sides (Skip says nothing about them.) Second main problems are her teammates beyond AB, KM and TF. Third and less of her problems is her inexperience.
Clark can score anytime she wants but Christy wants her to be a pass first player! When C Sides is fired or Caitlin demands a trade, everyone will see Clark do what she does. Clark will lead the W in scoring and assists!

You will be the number one leader in assists when you handle the ball on your team 95% of the time that is not rocket science. Not the formula for winning that is exactly why she hasn't won a championship. Caitlin Clark has two other All Stars on her team besides herself she should be leading and assists. A lot are available on RUclips either in full or in highlight form, and you'll hear the commentators say "How'd she find Stuelke!??" or "Oh what a dime!" and things like that. As a newbie, I take that to mean that her passing ability was such that even seasoned commentators who've seen hundreds of games were dazzled by her assists. Since that was a feature of her game over the last two years in college ball, it would be infantile to conclude - from watching her pass in that way in the W - that she's doing it just to make her play look exciting because she's in a bit of a shooting slump.
This guy, therefore, might be paid as a sports commentator but he's clearly not professional at it.
How many autographs does she sign and she has always been there for her young fans. Does she now hold the all time scoring records and two year records for scoring and assists in college - and look what she's done for the league already and everybody in it.

I remember as a teen reading a book on Wilt Chamberlain. It was simply titled "Wilt". It was a fascinating book. One take away I still remember all these years later is this. He would get criticized in the press for an aspect of his game. So, the next season, he would focus in on that very area that he had been criticized about. If defense, he led or was near the top in defense the following year. If assists, he would be near or at the top the following year in assists. If rebounding...you get the idea.
The point is, you can't ever please the critics certainly the perpetual critics like Bayless. He's just a paid troll used to stir up controversy. Yes! He is trolling!
I remember also when Aaron Rodgers won SB 45. The dimes he dropped in that game were unreal. The one on 3rd down to Jennings in double coverage was sick. That dude (forget his name at the moment) is STILL salty about that! But ever since then, all I ever heard was clips from Bayless about how bad Rodgers was. And I never sought them out! They were always on some other channel or source and suddenly boom....there's Skip! It was nauseating! It just got worse over the years finally until I just tuned out the second I saw him. Oh no doubt! If you've never read that book, I highly recommend it. It's been years and I was Ike 15 but I still remember how glued into it I was. Wilt was an amazing athlete...ahead of his time.

I'm friends with a bunch of old guys that are (were and now again) sports fanatics. These are guys that are (were and are again) complete nuts about the game. All age groups and all fantasy leagues too. I might mention a few have played D1 and D2 basketball/football/baseball/....and all of us payed the game at a lower level. WE KNOW THE GAME.
All of us have two things in common. One: We love the game(s). Two: We know Skip Bayless knows nothing about any game.
Why networks have kept him I have no idea. Even the material he uses he grabs from the floor that's already been said and he just tries to be controversial. What the networks (who are already cratering) need to know is people like me and my buds, don't follow him or the networks/podcast he has. We follow places like this that are ran by people with sports IQ, know the game and actually follows what teams and players are doing.

If you total all of Caitlin Clark's assists for the last 10 games, then subtract all of her turnovers for the last 10 games. She still has more assists than anyone in the league for that 10 game period. Lebron James leads the NBA in turnovers.

Some of what he said is true she is a better passer than shooter that is true common sense is if a person handles the ball 95% of the time on the team there will be a high number of assists, when a person takes a lot of chances and handles the ball 95% of the times there will be a ton of turnovers you can't praise 1 without acknowledging the other when a person is on the team with two other All Stars there is no reason why you don't have planning assists. Caitlin Clark has shown with her dribbles that she is turned over prone, that is just a fact. When you look at the assists of the other players on the team you see one or two so basically Caitlin is covering the assists for the whole team which means if you immobilize her the team will not go far, so why do people talk about the strategy it's not about Caitlin Clark being so good it's about the team not having a smart strategy and making it easy to defend the fever.

Payton Manning led the league in interceptions his rookie year and were the worst NFL team that year. Give her better players around her and better coaches and she will have her day.
