Oh man so much to love: 1. Jenn saying “mmm” and being surprised about meals she’s no doubt eaten before 😂 even the baby carrots 2. How WIIIIIIDE Ben’s eyes go when he eats something he enjoys 3. How healthy and balanced your approach to food is 4. How you find comfort in Korean food 🥘 5. How respectful you are of Ben being vegetarian 6. How Ben looks at you like he loves you so much 😍 Wishing you lots of love 💕
I love how healthy, diverse and colorful ur meals are!! I've been trying to cook like this and seeing you try a bunch of different recipes is really inspiring
as a french person I'm so, SO confused with people eating salad, brocoli or rice leftovers for breakfast xD... Here, 95% of people eat sweet things like bread+butter+jam, cereals, a porridge or just biscuit(s) + coffee! Really nice video btw !_!
yeah generally us asians eat like these for breakfast. :) rice is a life staple food for us, and biologically/ genetically we can digest rice much easier. :)
tip for your acai: try to blend it on a lower power/speed instead -- i've found that the high power takes longer & heats up the smoothie, making it really watery!!
I commented this in her last video, but the key to get that thick consistency is frozen bananas!! I make smoothie bowls almost every morning, and it's never gone wrong if I include frozen bananas.
I read your comment on the last video as well, I had the same problem as Jenn and I tried doing it your way and it totally changed the consistency of my acai bowl! Thank you🤗 @kvhottie
7:11 To make the açai bowl well, I recommend that you chop the banana into small pieces and the other fruits that you want to add, also add 1/4 cup of the liquid with which you do it, if your blender is slightly blocked, just mix and you mix little by little. If you see it very dense, add a little liquid, do not add ice or anything other than the fruits because it is going to drain on you. I hope it helps you ❤️, greetings from Miami
Tip for a thicc açaí bowl: if you have coconut water I would recommend using that instead of plain water. Also incorporate more frozen fruit like mangos, pineapples or frozen bananas. This should help in thickening up the mixture!
i totally agree! my sister and i always make smoothie bowls and learned that frozen fruit works much better than regular fruit and a bunch of ice. i reccomend the frozen fruit storebought (organic ofc- whole foods has great organic selections), because it does make the smoothie thicker, but homemade frozen fruit works just as well!
Watching you make food is so so relaxing! I’ve been trying to get back onto a health kick just because the past couple weeks have been me eating whatever I want and my body just doesn’t feel great! I’m going to try out your mapo tofu dish!!! Looks so so good ❤️
i've watched a lot of "what i eat in a week" videos and the ones made by jenn are by far the most relaxing. there's just smth about jenn cooking that creates such a soothing ambiance.
I love how simple your meals are. I aspire to eat more clean and I'm binge watching your videos to get some ideas of what I can cook at home for me and le hubs. So thank you!
this video was a breath of air. I've been so anxious with everything going on. My eating habits also haven't been the best just out stress-- this helped give me some motivation to eat better as well. Hope you're doing well, Jenn!
I absolutely love your 'what I ate in a week/day' videos, the meals all look delicious, I love that you're so good at not wasting food (I'm trying to be better at this) and they seem so well balanced. It's so refreshing to see someone sharing a healthy diet with room for a few higher calorie meals as well. I hope you'll continue making these videos once in a while.
I truly appreciate how Jen's breakfast is not the usual "Americanized breakfast" all the time. Growing up Asian American, most of my breakfast are A LOT and are usually considered as "lunch" or "dinner" to other people. The range she has is immaculate and it makes me feel represented but through food lol 🤗❤️
I am totally in love with the vibe in your videos. And I love the filming/editing style, and the perfectly fitting music on top. Your videos are so relaxing to watch. All your videos are so well made and look like they take a lot of time to make. I also love your personality, keep the good work up, and stay safe during this time💗🥰
Jenn, I live in Brazil and when I make my açai, I do it this way: - I slice the banana in slices and freeze it this way. - When processing, I leave the ingredients out of the fridge a little, so as not to process so frozen. - I put it in the processor without water. If there are difficulties to process, I add 1 tablespoon of water, little by little. Until you can mix all the ingredients. Hope this helps. 🇧🇷🤗👏🏻
It's so amazing seeing real, filling, healthy meals and seeing her enjoy it. This and her weight loss videos (where she also offers realistic, gradual and healthy weight loss advice) is so refreshing. This the responsible way to eat.
Jenn,I love how you keep your diet moderate and poised(but still very enjoyable) especially at times like this where it seems so many people see eating as an entertainment and enjoy eating unnecessarily lots of portions. Your diet inspired mine and I have been never this healthier before. So..I wanna say thank you for being such a positive influence on me. Hope to see more What I ate videos of yours in the future. Love you!
I literally love these videos so much!! The sound is incredible- chopping and steaming and the background music, not overtaken by human eating noises (usually v ew) and then visually it’s so bright!! But the things you eat, the way you describe them, combined with how you balance cravings and health makes for an enjoyable video that reminds me of a studio thinking film.
The mapo tofu is actually japanese styled chinese mapo tofu haha. I had a long conversation about this with my japanese friend and I’m chinese haha. The japanese palette is a little milder and sweeter.

Wow, you're glowing, Jenn! Even in the clips where you're not wearing foundation, your skin is glowing and radiant. Overall, you're stunning, I hope you know that (just had to tell you). :) And, even as a vegetarian, I enjoyed the actual content of your video - your meals and recipes. I'm definitely going to try some of them out. I already made the Doenjang Jigae from one of your past What I Eat in a Day Videos a couple of months ago and made a vegetarian version of it. :) Btw, the wooden spoon somehow makes everything look even more tasty... I don't know how else to describe it. :D
hey jenn!! for curl up clubs June pick we should pick a book like Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson or anything from the long lists of literature that helps educate on systemic racism
This is my first comment ever but I’m so passionate about acai bowls, I just had to help a sis out 😂 I make an acai bowl almost every day and it is phenomenal. I usually use my KitchenAid food processor because it makes a thicker consistency. Whether you’re using a blender or a food processor, the key is to work in small amounts when adding liquids and also to blend on low speed. Try adding more frozen elements, such as another frozen acai pack or frozen berries. I start with about 1/8 cup of liquid (water or fruit juice) if I feel that the consistency is too thick. I recommend to work with that amount every time you add more liquid, too. You’ll also have more control with blending on low speed. Hope you see this, and hope it helps!!! ☺️
I know people have commented but my tip for the acai bowl is to a. slice your bananas before freezing it (or even after, if you have a sharp enough knife) because even if it comes out as a solid chunk, it will generally make it easier to break down as the majority of it will be closer to the blade, and b. add way less water than you think you need because the heat from blending up the mixture will warm it up anyway. If need be, do waaaaaaay less, then while it's blending, add little shots each time. And if you have one of those handy wands that go in through the hole at the top to push down the ingredients, even better.
I can watch this "what i ate in a day / week" vlog the entire day, is soooooo therapeutic to see Jenn eat for every meal and it seems like every bite and meal were really delicious! Please make more of such eating vlogs more, im enjoying this a lot!!!!!
It's Monday here in Australia and I literally can't think of anything better to start off my week! Sitting here with my coffee and your breakfast bowl near my sunny window and I honestly think I've found perfection❤️ My favourite series of yours🥰🥰 thanks Jenn for everything you do!
I love these videos! Especially now because I am 3 months pregnant and all of your recipes are really healthy! Thanks Jen! Your videos are great for all audiences! :)
I used to work at an acai bowl place. For the base, it's frozen banana and acai packet. You can add whatever fruit or greens you like, frozen will help with the smooth, creamy texture. We usually don't add any liquids, but water or milk alternative as fit/needed
@@gluv208 'bland' food can taste great, but only if you can condition your body to stop craving crap. if your body stops telling you it wants bad fats, excessive sugar and salt, and alcohol (by re-conditioning it), then everything healthy and bland does taste great. it takes time and it's not easy, but it can be done.
I still cannot believe your double my age... It just shocks me when I remember how old you really are. Thank you for being such a good influence on me Jen. Really you've brought me so much joy and I hope to meet you someday. :) Stay happy and healthy.
A tip would be to make your acai bowls in a food processor, that eliminates the need for liquids and you get a really thick mixture. Works for me all the time! You just need patience to blend it and scrap it down from time to time
I LOVED THIS its really hard to see this type of videos without watching youtubers under eat or promote weird diets. I loved the varaiety, the amount of rice and everything :)
I worked at an açai shop! For perfect consistency: try 1 packet of açai, 120 grams of frozen banana and around 50 mils of liquid. Works best in a blender with a tamper and it should be a small arm workout to push the frozen stuff in to the blades ;)
I'm not sure but I think it could be Korean Purple Rice, also called Multigrain Rice 😊 (I usually buy my multigrain in my Asian store and it's a Taiwanese version, they're all super healthy apparently 💕)
I think it's brown rice/wild rice mix. Can be found in bulk section at health food stores and in the rice isle at most regular supermarkets as well, I think! :)
I love how you eat adequate amount of food. Some youtuberss just have a slice of bread for breakfast..I mean like realistically that can't fill my stomach ever
for the acai, you can also freeze the banana to make it more icy and this will make it more thick. freezing all the components makes it thicker and creamier. I like to use almond milk or soy milk for mine instead of water. if you don't want to freeze your fruit, adding ice will also help thicken it! hope this helps :) love these videos
Could only watch it now cs my lecturer suddenly switched my lecture to 8am this morning :/ I’m having dinner now while watching this! Please do more vids like this Jenn! It’s so relaxing and I like how realistic your meals are - not too fancy all the time, eating leftovers (arh me too 🙋🏻♀️) and having snacks, Asian as well as Western meals throughout the day! And it’s nice seeing Ben cooking too! His food looks amazingggggg too!
For the acai bowl, I wouldn't put that much liquid at first. since you have a strong blender, try with much less liquid, let the acai berries and banana mix first (it also helps to chop the bananas first before freezing them so the blender can blend them easily) and put the liquid bit by bit until you have that nice consistency :) hope this helps!
Hi, Jenn :) you don't need to add water! or just add a splash of non-dairy milk. From my experience, I like to add more frozen banana over other ingredients for that thick consistency and creaminess.
honestly one of my fave things about your food videos is how you incorporate leftovers in new meals. it's inspired me to approach leftovers better and waste less food
for your acai bowl, i highly recommend adding almond butter, using coconut water or milk over regular water and spinach, it will give it a thicker consistency and it tastes awesome as well!
Hey Jenn! For my smoothie bowls, I actually don't add water but rather soak some chia seeds in a bit of non-dairy milk for about 10mins minimum, and pour that in! Never fails to produce super thick, smooth fruit bowls 😋
For the acai bowl, you can add some ice instead of water which serves as a thickening agent. I used to work at a smoothie place, so that's where I learned that, hope this helps!
Tip to use half & half (or a similar dairy-free option) instead of water in your Açai bowls!!! When it’s in the blender it will help it thicken and whip into the consistency you’re looking for!! ❤️
Omgosh this was the best thing ever 😁 favorite was her acai bowl reaction of being disappointed but still grumpily enjoying it, giant Korean lettuce wraps being eaten in one bite, and both of their reactions to the cauliflower food 💕😊
Try adding frozen cauliflower to your smoothies to make it a little thicker! Cauliflower doesn’t really have taste so it doesn’t change the flavor of the smoothie but makes it so much thicker and nutritious☺️ frozen coconut milk is also a great option!
love these videos! as an spaniard, it always caughts my attention (not in a bad way, ofc) that you don't have an stablished time for your meals! i mean, you may be having a snack at 2 p.m, dinner at 5 p.m. or at 7 p.m., then a night snack...
Freeze your açaí packets!! They’re made to be frozen and then blended! Also, try adding a lot less liquid and more frozen fruits like banana, strawberries, and blueberries! Walmart has huge bags of frozen fruit that are really affordable!
I LOVE that you don’t waste anything!! I don’t like to eat things two days in a row..that always makes me so mad because I always cook too much..I will try eating up leftovers after seeing you
For the açaí, try to put only frozen fruits with the frozen açaí instead and dont add too much liquid. Only enough for it to blend well.(I would add 6-8oz of liquid and then add little by little until its blending. Blend it only until it’s all mixed up and smooth! It should be thick. Hopefully that helps :)

A bit weird tho, I think they're missing on the real deal with the fried tortilla, sour cream, lettuce and queso fresco on top
But they look like burritos jaja i'm mexican too and the flautas doesn't look like that where i live
I don't think they have a mexican owned restaurant nearby that makes flautas like we do in México, or maybe that's more appealing to them (?)

honestly one of my fave things about your food videos is how you incorporate leftovers in new meals. it's inspired me to approach leftovers better and waste less food
Your meals look so delicious, healthy, but also FILLING!! I love these videos pls do more :D
for your acai bowl, i highly recommend adding almond butter, using coconut water or milk over regular water and spinach, it will give it a thicker consistency and it tastes awesome as well!
I love how she always eats with a big cooking spoon lmao
It’s not a cooking spoon it’s sort of like a Korean spoon even though it’s traditionally metal
Hey Jenn! For my smoothie bowls, I actually don't add water but rather soak some chia seeds in a bit of non-dairy milk for about 10mins minimum, and pour that in! Never fails to produce super thick, smooth fruit bowls 😋
The way you make your brown rice looks soooooo good! Do you make it in a particular way?? Also, love your channel so much!!!
Yes!! Curious what brand you buy for brown rice?
Please I would like to know this also!
@@hollyfarnell2011 I live in Korea, and by the purple colour, I can see it's got black rice mixed. having black rice stains the white rice purple
As far as I know she just uses a rice cooker! 😊🍚 Something I definitely need to invest in!
@@dianelolin7247 Same!
For the acai bowl, you can add some ice instead of water which serves as a thickening agent. I used to work at a smoothie place, so that's where I learned that, hope this helps!
WHO ELSE THINKS JENN IS GORGEOUS??🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️
small youtuber here
Tip to use half & half (or a similar dairy-free option) instead of water in your Açai bowls!!! When it’s in the blender it will help it thicken and whip into the consistency you’re looking for!! ❤️
You are so gorgeous! and I love how you prepare the food! always so aesthetic to watch
man i can watch these series everyday all day...so peaceful and aesthetically pleasing
Who am I?: “HHHMMMM!!” 😃
lol Love you Jenn!
Omgosh this was the best thing ever 😁 favorite was her acai bowl reaction of being disappointed but still grumpily enjoying it, giant Korean lettuce wraps being eaten in one bite, and both of their reactions to the cauliflower food 💕😊
Waiting for someone to do a compilation of Jenn going “mmm”!
Try adding frozen cauliflower to your smoothies to make it a little thicker! Cauliflower doesn’t really have taste so it doesn’t change the flavor of the smoothie but makes it so much thicker and nutritious☺️ frozen coconut milk is also a great option!
Forever always here for all the “MMMM’s!” 🤣
i honestly love these eating videos of yours so much! it's so balanced and fulfilling yet still remains healthy!
everything looks so aesthetic, it's making me hungry! Also love the cooking asmr sounds!
love these videos! as an spaniard, it always caughts my attention (not in a bad way, ofc) that you don't have an stablished time for your meals! i mean, you may be having a snack at 2 p.m, dinner at 5 p.m. or at 7 p.m., then a night snack...
I just felt so delicious too while I was seeing how happy you are when having a good bite of food
It is soooo sweet to see how Jenn and Ben are enjoying their meal❤️
Is ben vegetarian? noticed Jenn saying “I would offer you so mapo tofu but it has chicken”
Just never noticed if he is
Maybe he doesnt like the taste of chicken
I believe Ben is pescatarian :)
@@Hikari9312 yess I just saw her say in another video that Ben is pescatarian haha
you have the best what i ate in a week vids!! they're so calming to watch and I want to eat everything you've had
i feel like all i do these days is eat, sleep, & repeat.. lmao 😂
i love your videos jenn! thank you for making my day ❤️
Freeze your açaí packets!! They’re made to be frozen and then blended! Also, try adding a lot less liquid and more frozen fruits like banana, strawberries, and blueberries! Walmart has huge bags of frozen fruit that are really affordable!
Asian whos lives aboard cant live without Sriracha 😂 including me, Sriracha goes well with everything. Loved the video Jen x
I LOVE that you don’t waste anything!! I don’t like to eat things two days in a row..that always makes me so mad because I always cook too much..I will try eating up leftovers after seeing you
17:30 is it 무말랭이? I really love that ♥
I highly recommend to eat that with 미역국!!!it's so good 👍
Please do more of these videos (healthy & realistic). It gives me ideas to make when I’m running out of ideas for healthy meals/snacks
You look so happy when you eat! You're too cute!! 😍 Everything looked delicious except for the tofu. Haha
