A visit to Marrakech

This is from my visit to Morocco (Marakech and Agadir) in october 2011.
The film shows:
The Medina (old town) with the wellknown Jema el-Fna square during daytime and nightmarket.
At the Medina you find a lot of Riads, small family own hotels with an open space/garden in the middle.
Jardin Majorelle, was own by Yves Saint Laurent until his death in 2008.
In the Souk (at the Medina) you can buy almost everything. It is also hard to find the way there. It is like walking in a maze.
A restaurant visit with a balancing dance performance is also shown on the film.
A horseride in the evening.
The wellknown Koutoubia mosque. Maybe the most common view from Marrakesh.
The ruins of Palais el Badi. The ruins have an interesting story.
Finally a bustour to Agadir and a few pictures from there. The city is situated at the atlantic coast and was completely destroyed of an earthquake on february 29 1960. The city was rebuilt so the buildings are mainly from 1960 or newer. Agadir, with its beach is a holiday resort for lots of people.

would my girlfriend have to wear a veil? (she probably wouldnt even mind tho)

HarryPothead there are hotels beginging 50dh to up..many moroccan women does not wear veil and they wear more tight jeans and clothes than most european so i think i would fool to wear veil
