As a member of a Railroad family, it is absolutely illegal to hunt on tracks. You can walk across, you can walk beside them, you can not trespass on the tracks themselves. You can own the land on both sides of them but you don't own the land the tracks are on, you own 15 feet on either side of them. This used to be a federal offense, then changed to a felony now is a high tier misdemeanor. Crossing a tressel on the tracks is also illegal, not to mention a not so smart idea, have you not watched "Stand by me"? Although what I have told you is absolutely factual, I've done some of my best bunny hunting along the rail lines. Just be careful and watch for the trains coming through, they will leave nothing but a red splotch. The old trick about touching the track with your hand is true too, you can feel the vibrations of a train coming a long way off.

Pinks were, in a ton of cases, Judge, Jury and Executioner, with emphasis on executioner, they would shoot first and then cover it up. About the only enforcement that goes on is the graffiti artists and taggers in the yards and the occasional attempt to outrun at the crossing. But yes it is illegal and you apparently don't realize how many videos are used in court cases where people have posted themselves doing illegal shit.

There have been several people hit by trains over the years while walking on train tracks, especially while being on trestles. As you can see in other comments this is illegal in almost all situations. Your case may be different as you say. But this isn't a practice that should be encouraged or promoted because it is illegal in most all areas.
I think you should have pointed out your special arrangement with the Train company and advised people that this is dangerous and illegal in most areas.
Anyone that sees this and gives it a try most likely won't have your situation.
