I love your channel. There is one video that I absolutely love," the journey of the rose " or something like that. It felt surreal just watching it. Taekook are real, alright. I felt it even when I was watching regular BTS stuff, without any analysis either. And I don't see why anyone should feel disgusted. Seeing them makes you really believe in romantic love, they are so adorable and seem so happy and complete. It is so positive and beautiful. Hi Meggie! Honestly I am a new-lowkey-army since dynamite era. At that time, just instantly, my favorite person in BTS that I can easily relate to (although all of them are special) is Kim Taehyung. But something makes me realized at that time, is about the high emotional baggage Tae had during Jan until dynamite era. I didn't know what it was, until I know Taekook, and I sense it was a big guilt he usually carried on. And perhaps, January to June/July 2020 was the peak depression time of him. Not to mention, he already had that hardtime since early 2017-2018. Since he is hyung for Koo, the guilt grew bigger. The company perhaps put him in the responsible position for whats happening between the two. And if you also look for the meaning behind these songs: 4 o'clock, my time, euphoria, your eyes tell, hug me, and of course DNA. Oh I think Taekook holds the strong gravitation in a lot of BTS artworks and campaign (ie: love yourself). Since we all know BTS never put something without purpose and they co-control their artistry (especially after they renewal/propose for better contract in 2018), I was in awe witnessing all the metaphor in lyrics, music video visual, choreo (like in Fake Love, there's a choreo like puppet), and even their stage design. Taekook is something magical and beautiful. Should I also mention how they sometimes using sign language and eye language (eye language usually used for paralized patient) to communicate with each other in public? They've been through a lot, all of the member and including Taekook, of course. I am so thankful, inspired, and soft to know their beautiful bond for each other. Bliss love hits different, right? If Tae goes into the military that could be very detrimental. They could probably get open-ended visas and stay in the U.S. They have a special visa for people highly successful like in the arts. They just aren't allowed to work in a different field while they are here. If they let soccer players skip military they should let BTS. I'm really glad to find your analysis about Fake Love : to me, it also became clear that the message is destined to fans and to society. It is partly about Taekook, but I think that all members relate to the lyrics, because they express how their performing their public personas as idols led them to self-betrayal. They always say they love and do everything for ARMY but that can't be true love because they don't really know their fans (but want to please them too much, in my opinion) and their fans don't really know them (even though bts members seem to share a lot with the public, they actually stay really private about important matters because they want them safe ). It is quite ironic when fans sing along "Fake love" with BTS, because the band is actually explaining them the nature of their relationship : not intimate at all and untrue (I don't think BTS disrespects their fandom, really not. But I think they stress a grave problem with setting boundaries with the fans, and that a lot of K-pop idols know this difficulty all too well). Sadly, this Fake love resembles a toxic relationship for the members, as this act of make-believe forbids the expression of true love (the flower that can't be bloomed in the dream that can't come true -> I agree with you on this, it is a Taekook reference), as if BTS could only be married to ARMY. Moreover, this Fake love, seen as a painful public performance, can also depict how it hurts to act straight while being a member of LGBT community (and I think it concerns not only Tae and JK among BTS). Staying in the closet causes depression and anxiety, as one is unable to express an important part of one's personality (by the way, the "garden full of thorns" that is mentioned in The Truth Untold is shown in Singularity MV : Taehyung hides inside a closet with roses that can't bloom because no light comes to this space... And we can see thorns in other MVs such as ON and We Are Bulletproof the Eternal, a deep leitmotiv that evokes sin and embodies stigma!). Sorry about my rambling, I stop here ! I'm really glad to find your analysis about Fake Love : to me, it also became clear that the message is destined to fans and to society. It is partly about Taekook, but I think that all members relate to the lyrics, because they express how their performing their public personas as idols led them to self-betrayal. They always say they love and do everything for ARMY but that can't be true love because they don't really know their fans (but want to please them too much, in my opinion) and their fans don't really know them (even though bts members seem to share a lot with the public, they actually stay really private about important matters because they want them safe ).
It is quite ironic when fans sing along "Fake love" with BTS, because the band is actually explaining them the nature of their relationship : not intimate at all and untrue (I don't think BTS disrespects their fandom, really not. But I think they stress a grave problem with setting boundaries with the fans, and that a lot of K-pop idols know this difficulty all too well). Sadly, this Fake love resembles a toxic relationship for the members, as this act of make-believe forbids the expression of true love (the flower that can't be bloomed in the dream that can't come true -> I agree with you on this, it is a Taekook reference), as if BTS could only be married to ARMY.
Moreover, this Fake love, seen as a painful public performance, can also depict how it hurts to act straight while being a member of LGBT community (and I think it concerns not only Tae and JK among BTS). Staying in the closet causes depression and anxiety, as one is unable to express an important part of one's personality (by the way, the "garden full of thorns" that is mentioned in The Truth Untold is shown in Singularity MV : Taehyung hides inside a closet with roses that can't bloom because no light comes to this space... And we can see thorns in other MVs such as ON and We Are Bulletproof the Eternal, a deep leitmotiv that evokes sin and embodies stigma!).
