I'm not picking up one important point. Where does the creatine kinase get the energy to convert the ADP to ATP. In general the gamma phosphate bond provides energy to cellular actions, if I understand correctly, so there must be a net energy input to move the reaction to the left. Where does it come from? And from the other direction, when the CK reaction is moving to the right, what happens to the released energy?
makes sense that creatine wouldn't increase strength so much but more how many reps u can do, and also why muscles become bigger, as u have more potential energy inside them
Hi. I am trying to teach myself biochemistry and other related topics, and I couldn't understand creatine. Until now. Thank you so much. I'll make sure to look out for more of your videos. Thanks Khan Academy!
Possibly the most underrated medical channel on RUclips
Thank you!
Thank you SO much for this! A week of class and I understood NOTHING until I watched this video. You gave me confidence for my exam tomorrow!
Very happy for you!
Amazing content and really well explained
Great video! Super well explained, congrats!

REALLY GOOD!
thank you! Very clear information.
Very helpful explanation
Could you link the video about creating you talk about please.
Beautiful video
so phosphocreatine is a surplus of ATP that wouldn't have otherwise been stored as too much ATP inhibits ATP production? like a bonus ATP?
Hi, do you know the name or citation of the paper you were discussing at the end of the video?
thanks a lot that really helped
So a large amount of ATP molecules inside the cell, without the presence of Creatine , leads to inadequate amount of ATP ??? 3:38
Assuming you are doing really intense exercises yes, I think
great!!!!
What substrate of ck enzyme??
