    Thanks for demoing this. I've been using MusicLab's Realguitar for many years. One advantage of Realguitar is that you can finger the chords yourself in the left hand and then trigger the strumming with the right. Realguitar intelligently analyses a 3 or 4 note piano chord in your left hand and converts into a 6 note guitar chord. It's been great but I am getting tired now of the guitar sounds. MusicLab haven't really released any new guitar sounds for it. These Amplesound libraries sound beautiful and more realistic than MusicLab's offering, so I assume they have sampled every one of those chords instead of how Realguitar does it (overlaying strum effect sounds on 6 note guitar sounds as far as I can tell). I assume with the Amplesound ones you do have to programme all of the chords in and then trigger them from keys. I find the only downside of this approach is trying to remember every key and it's corresponding chord! 😅 Anyway will definitely be considering this, shame the free version though doesn't offer the strumming.

    I don't know what version you have. but on the new version I can find those strumming keys at all.

    Is this possible in the newer version? I can't find how for the life of me! Everybody is programming stuff but I need to play live in a setting where the tempo isn't set 😅

    Brilliant demonstration that really explains some very important basic functions, where to find them and how to use them. Thanks mate!

    I am not a smart man, so forgive me for asking this, but... Is there a way for you to play a chord on the piano, and it simply picks up on the chord and then strums it? I don't like all this complicated stuff of programming each note. It's beyond me. I just want to press the three notes that make up the chord, and have it strum. Then when I want to move on to the next chord, I press the three keys and it strums that chord. etc, etc.

      Did you ever get that figured out? I have the lite version but it doesn't function fully with the strummer. So I'm thinking of buying the full version but as you stated, I'm a bit overwhelmed with how to program the proper chords. I'm a keyboard player who knows nothing about how to play guitar. I realize I'm three years late but hoping you'll reply. Thanks.

    That’s a very impressive VST. I’m binge watching all of Deep Space 9 again lol. What did you use to overlay your animated diagrams in your Editor?

      I'll be moving onto DS9 next. They're all on Netflix at the moment so it's all too easy to do...and then you realise that the last 4 hours has disappeared!
      On screen elements are all done in Camtasia 2018 with the final edit done in Premiere Pro. Outro animations are After Effects.

    can you do something like the acoustic beginning of "she will be loved" by Maroon 5?
    not sure what that style is called exactly, but it's hitting the strings gentle with your fingers and doing chords that way.. i don't think that would qualify as muted..but it's gentle, not loud strumming

    Loved this video...also make one video to program the strummer and create strumming without using an actual piano keyboard and just with computer keyboard

    Nice demo! How did you get amplesound to work within Komplete Kontrol?

    • @tdcattech
      @tdcattech  6 лет назад

      Just add it in the plug-in chain manually in Komplete Kontrol. Press 'C' to open the plug-in chain panel and then click on the tiny '+' in the bottom left of that panel. You can't select it from the keyboard but once added, many of the controls are available through the keyboard CC controls.

    NIce of TDCat to provide this video . . . but . . . it's well outdated. The current AmpleSound guitar virtual instruments do not look like this and the instructions here by the tech are incomplete and barely comparable if you're trying to follow along and use an AmpleSound guitar. Further more, there are no comprehensive instructions to be found for the new software renditions.

    • @tdcattech
      @tdcattech  5 лет назад +1

      Version 3 of their software was released at pretty much the same time that I released this video and it looks very different. Just bad luck! The same functions exist but the skin is totally different.
