    Lamars success partially comes from where he grew up. In southern Florida playing backyard football. His ability to think on the fly, juke defenders out, make throws that normal QBs just dont do. He wasnt groomed like all these other QBs going to some "Football Academy" where they teach you to be a cookie cutter QB. His style of play is different because he didn't learn the same way others did, hes unorthodox because of how he learned to play the game. Thats why there isnt another QB like him. The rest of his success comes from how smart of a player he really is. The ability to change arm angles to make a throw or know when to dip out the pocket and run for it, or throw a ball in just the right spot so only his reciever can make a play on it. Hes Truly a Complete QB.

This year with mahomes, he only has Kelce and is looking like crap and his receivers are dropping some but when lamar jackson had a Travis Kelce and receivers who dropped, He was unanimous MVP LOL Lamar is literally the GOAT in the making, just off being held down, back and told to play another position

    So when Lamar is awarded his second MVP he’ll join this list of players with 2 or more - Brady, Rodgers, Manning, Favre, Warner, Montana, Young, Unitas, Brown. All hall of famers and all players that one at least one super bowl (except for Brown who played before super bowls and he was a national champion in the pre super bowl era). I really hope the Ravens do well this playoffs; candidly with the salary cap I’m not sure how long they can keep a team this strong together. This is the year.

    • @slylockfox85
      @slylockfox85 8 месяцев назад +7

      Barring injury, this should be the year. Ravens have a Super Bowl defense where Lamar can have a bad game and they still win. There's no excuse for Lamar to not get it done this year. I'm a Jackson fan and never thought they got him proper receivers, but he has it this year. Only negative is that Andrews is out, but given the abundance of weapons, it should not be an excuse.

    • @nirbija
      @nirbija 8 месяцев назад +5

      "the salary cap" will not be much of an issue with Ravens.
      Baltimore's drafting and developing of players for the 'next man up' strategy will ensure a Ravens Dynasty so long as the non-nonsense #8 is the 'face of the franchise'.
      If you pretend that the Ravens' stars' who are presently out injured are free agents who have moved on to their well-earned 'big bucks', then can't you not see how well that the 'next man up' are contributing to Ravens success?

    Lamar Jackson has hands down one of the best arms I've ever seen. His deep ball is gorgeous every time and the different angles he can throw from are just wild. He's put on so much muscle and acquired so many skills in such a short period of time. His patience makes him even more deadly now. He will pick you apart. And you can't discount the fact that he's in a great system.
    I really think his southern drawl and reserved attitude made everyone think he was incapable. Either that or it's because he's.. nvm. But honestly, he's never been bad at throwing the ball and he's been arguably the best rushing quarterback in history since he got in the league. So it's kind of weird that anyone ever doubted him, and still a shame that the Ravens didn't pay him sooner.

At that time, he was known and respected mainly for his running ability, and many considered his occasional passing inaccuracy his main weakness. That is no longer the case due to his compassion, hard work, and his will to improve that aspect of his game so his team has the best chance to win and be successful.

    Dan did an unbelievable job of analysis there. He only missed one thing. This Ravens team is so all in on Lamar, they have his back so much, that Likely, the backup to Mark, did everything he could to make that catch a TD, and succeeded. Lamar has the team laser focused. The other thing is the throws to OBJ and Zay. Both were on target, both were to the correct sides of their bodies, both were where only they could touch the ball. That hasn't happened in the vast majority of throws to them this year. Lamar hasn't made that many deep throws, at least not enought to develop any consistency, It's usually that they need to run the ball a lot to drain the clock because they are so far ahead. Lamar has been overthrowing them when the long plays were called. And last game, two perfect passes, to two perfect places where only the receivers could catch them, and then be who those receivers are. OBJ made an incredible catch, tapping both toes in bounds. Zay just walked through the defense on his way to the end zone. If Lamar has the timing now, and I think there's a pretty good chance that he does, nobody really understands what is going to happen. You already had a Lamar that doesn't care for anything but fulfilling the first promise that he made upon being drafted, and probably not very happy about how he hasn't done it yet. Now you have a whole team who are becoming comfortable with the offensives scheme. I think most people think the Ravens are good. i don't think they realize how good they could be. It's very possible they might just be about to show everyone how good they actually are.

    People finally see a QB After media assigned Lamar every other label, "RB who chucks the ball",...etc. Now he throws the ball! He's gets to be called a passer. They talk about how he's maturing into a complete QB...His contemporaries don't get this treatment. They are "elite passers" who don't have to worry about maturing/growing up or being discussed as a RB who "chucks it"!... Just stop with this: it comes off weird af.

    The right to privacy is a human right. The NFL must change its open locker room policy, it is invasive, abusive and does not respect players. The presence of female reporters in the locker room while the players are naked is indecent and only makes the athletes uncomfortable. Times have changed, and the NFL must update its policies and the way it treats players. If it were female athletes the story would be different.

    Lamar was not lining up as a lefty. He was faking a rollout to the left. The guard pulls that direction and his first step is to the left. The defense was reacting to that and it left the right side wide open.

    I'm going to note that if he were talking about Aaron Rodgers, Matt Stafford, Tom Brady, even Baker Mayfield, the focus would've been on vision and recognition instead of being a great athlete.
    Count how many times he referred to what Lamar did in that play as because he's an athlete or it was from athleticism.
    But the other thing is, Orlovsky may not realize that he's doing it. But that is why when people like Boomer Esaison says before the 49ers were going to play the Ravens that he's looking forward to the game because in his words "Brock Purdy plays quarterback the right way....".
    Well, 4 interceptions later, I wonder what Bummer Esaison has to say how quarterback should be played.
    Or that podcaster/buffoon/reporter, whatever she is, who wondered why she got accusations when she said Lamar Jackson is just a great athlete, but he's not "quarterbacky enough".
