Another important aspect of his visit is to encourage skilled professionals from India to come to Germany. He says Germany’s new immigration law makes it easier for students and professionals to move to Germany.
In an exclusive interview with Minister Heil, DW’s Delhi Bureau Chief, Amrita Cheema, began by asking him why Germany looking for skilled workers from outside Germany?

German govt encouraging Indians to come to Germany, highly skilled people means that they would be working for around 10-15 years already, maybe German govt or German people don't know that wages are quite high for highly skilled people in INDIA as well and the struggles to live in Germany are many starting from learning a new language to having unwelcoming attitudes as we can see in the comments already to high taxes and nearly peanut savings, so to dear DW and the commentators below, no skilled worker from India is interested to come and even if they come riding on the good reputation which Germany as a country enjoys in India, they leave very quickly once they are here, please ask your govt to release a data of how many highly skilled Indians have come to Germany and how many have stayed behind, there are undoubtedly more Indian students coming to Germany and they have more chances to stay back as they are in early or mid twenties and have the bandwidth to accommodate but to expect a highly skilled person in his/her late thirty's to suffer in Germany when he is getting a good package back in India or in some English speaking country is nothing but a DREAM!!!

It's just a manner of speaking. We often make it sound more like an "A" at the End or more like an "Ah" Sound. Like "Australier" we speak it often as "Australia". It just rolls better, but still the right word is "Australier"

@@firstsecond9569same reason really. Ones tongue is more comfortable with "er" than "a" or vice versa. Also it often comes to not beeing sure really. I mean it is always a struggle to speak in a language you're not fluent in. I would stuggle too. I mean, I can now say that I am pretty good at understanding and typing english, sometimes I even think in english. But when it comes to actually speaking it, I think I would just stumble over my own words at the realisation that what I said didn't sound like what I wanted to say. There is always a delay in realisation. So sometimes it may be better to just stop thinking about how something is supposed to sound and instead just speak the way you are comfortable with. I doubt it, if they really needed highly skilled workforce here, they wouldn't drag on their bureaucracy with the immigration process for qualified people like they always do. I've been working as a mechanical engineer here for a few years, got my degrees here too with proven language skills and immigration test results. But it's been almost two years since my citizenship application and there's no update aside from occasional reminders telling me to update my status and not to contact them to inquire about the progress. Fine, whatever, maybe people change their mind and decide to go somewhere else where they're welcome and better paid. The immigration office sure is taking their sweet time for me to get undecided.
