Welcome to my RUclips channel and Thank You for clicking on this video.
In this video I take a look at Texas Longhorns Running Back, Bijan Robinson and his workout highlights at The 2023 NFL Scouting Combine!
Robinson was born on January 30, 2002, in Tucson, Arizona, later attending Salpointe Catholic High School. During his football career there, he set a state record after rushing for 7,036 yards and 114 touchdowns. As a senior, he was the Arizona Gatorade Football Player of the Year after rushing for 2,235 yards and 38 touchdowns on 126 carries. He was selected to play in the 2020 All-American Bowl. A five-star recruit, Robinson committed to play college football at the University of Texas.
Robinson earned immediate playing time as a freshman at Texas in 2020. He earned the 2020 Alamo Bowl MVP with 10 rushes for 183 yards and a touchdown. Bijan Robinson won the Doak Walker Award and was a unanimous All-American in 2022.
The NFL Scouting Combine is a week-long showcase occurring every February at Lucas Oil Stadium (and formerly at the RCA Dome until 2008) in Indianapolis, where college football players perform physical and mental tests in front of National Football League coaches, general managers, and scouts. With increasing interest in the NFL Draft, the scouting combine has grown in scope and significance, allowing personnel directors to evaluate upcoming prospects in a standardized setting. Its origins have evolved from the National, BLESTO, and Quadra Scouting organizations in 1977 to the media event it has become today.
Athletes attend by invitation only. An athlete's performance during the combine can affect their draft status and salary, and ultimately their career. The draft has popularized the term "workout warrior", whereby an athlete's "draft stock" is increased based on superior measurable qualities such as size, speed, and strength, despite having an average or sub-par college career.
In a typical year, there are about 330 invited players. About 250 invitations are sent before bowl games are completed to those who have completed their seasons. However, underclassmen have until mid-January to confirm their draft status. Invitations are made to those receiving supermajority support from the selection committee.
Each and every view, like, comment or share of my content means the world and is hugely appreciated.
Much love and have a great day!

You have to react to his full highlight tape, it’s incredible

Bijan’s highlight tape is soo much better man ….. he had no blocking with the yards he got

He had pretty good blocking last year

Go look at his film. There are times when the O-line whiffed and BR made a DT miss in the backfield

@@t.k.1319 I agree that he made things happen from nothing many times but a running back does not have the kind of season Bijan did with no blocking. You don’t get over 1500 yards, 18 TD’s and a 6.1 yard per carry average with no blocking

He got so many yards he should not have gotten

He finally had an O-line last year full for freshman…. Come on now before Sark both Herman and strong did not prioritize the offensive and defensive lines

Bijan and Jahmyr have must-watch highlight tapes - other notable ones would include Izzy Abanikanda, Tank Bigsby, and Tyjae Spears, 3 guys I think who fit that kind of style that you really like.

Jahmyr isn’t in Bijans league that’s fairly disrespectful actually lmao

Jahmyr Gibbs is a solid back in space, but likely would have disappeared a bit and certainly not be ranked as highly if he hadn't transferred to Bama. Bijan between the tackles as well as receiving in space are things of beauty.

@@NameBrandCody wanna tell me when I said he was? i said they both have must-watch highlight tapes... gibbs is easily the better receiver and much faster but Bijan's size and power helps him be a 3-down workhorse which is primarily what separates the two.

His game footage blows away his combine stats. He is incredible at creating lanes and bursting through where it looks like a broken play, and his motor doesn't stop. Decent dude on top of it, I would love if he fell to the Vikings, but I don't think he slips past pick 10

Running backs are shooting stars. They burn bright, but so many don't make it through training camp and fewer still last more than a few years in the NFL.

You should look at Bijan’s highlights but also Jahmyr Gibbs from Bama who I think is the best back. Good draft class for sure this year

Combine footage is nothing, look at the highlight reel for his actual football career so far. He lead the nation in broken tackles this past season, you'll see what I mean😅

      @jbm0866 Год назад

@@areguapiri I wouldnt go that far, some guys can make some money at the combine, but it rarely favors the well known big dogs...which why it was surprising to some Bijan decided to work out for scouts. He did well for himself while others probably should have skipped and let their body of work in college speak for itself.

All the Cowboys fans are saying we should take him. If we use him like Zeke, we’ll waste his career. He needs to be used like the 49ers used CMC. ~15 touches/game, not ~25-30 + a ton of pass blocking collisions.

Not sure if you have any experience with the Nba or not. But i think it would be interesting for you to check out the most high profile prospect since Lebron James. His name is Victor Wembanyama, the man is 7'5" and can do basically everything on the basketball court.
