I’m ready for the future of NASCAR gaming! Though I’ve heard that there are an insane amount of paid DLCs in IRacing, and if they’re making this new game, please don’t fall on the 2K / Madden route 🙏🏻
There are only so many paid DLCs in iracing because it’s a subscription based game that in no world could hold all the content that’s possible to have in that game in one download, plus all the licensing fees and stuff validates that. They shouldn’t need that type of stuff for a single company with set in stone sponsors, manufacturers, and tracks like NASCAR. Hopefully at least
I'd rather pay for dlc like different cars or tracks than pay for different paint schemes... give us paint schemes as updates and pay for whatever tracks or different Era cars you want... I'm all for that
I love for them to make a game that celebrities the history of nascar with having all generations of cars, all tracks nascar had, And every livery in its history (film and community skins too). Maybe call it "nascar:legacy"
So glad that we finally have a competent developer again instead of another C-tier company like GameMill to put everything in the gutter again. Here’s to a greater future for Nascar gaming starting in 2025! 🥂
I'm pretty sure this game is going to be developed by Monster Games, as iRacing purchased them a while back. The recent World of Outlaws game on consoles was published by iRacing and used assets from iRacing, but had it's own physics more akin to other Monster Games releases (NASCAR Heat, SRX The Game, etc.). So expect this new NASCAR game to just essentially be NASCAR Heat 6 but with tweaks to the physics and the use of iRacing assets.
IRacing could possibly develop that new NASCAR game by themselves from the ground up instead of having Monster Games alongside them. It may seem to be a stretch. But, its also a possibility. IRacing were originally derived from the old Papyrus team. And It's somewhat already given that the fact that the IRacing sim has retained the physics engine from the NR2003. It was surfaced online that Papyrus were developing somewhat a prototype for a console NASCAR game on the original Xbox shortly before NASCAR and EA went ahead with their exclusivity deal, ending hopes of Papyrus' new console game.
In the form of Papyrus, many of the same people made NASCAR Racing in 1996 for the Playstation. So in a way this feels to me like a followup to that, which is a fun thought.
I haven't played a nascar game on the console since 2011. I haven't enjoyed one on console since Playstation 1. I played them with the keyboard on the computer till 2003, then didn't get anything till Nascar 2006. Then, I skipped to 2011. I really want this to work out. I fell in love with Nascar through the games. And I fell out of love with it the same way. Here's to hoping for the future. 🎉🎉
I would be fine if DLCs did things like add past tracks, roval configurations, and bonus tracks, maybe a dlc that adds dirt racing and dirt versions of all the tracks. Those seem like DLC things to add, not required but adding to the game.
One thing I would like to see is have the Gen 6 and Gen 7 cars (or just Gen 7s) playable but have past generation cars as dlcs. Also a career mode carrying over stats from generations would be cool but I am asking a lot given the past console Nascar games
I have mentioned World of outlaws over and over for a year now and called Iracing buying the rights. I am really excited. though monster games was the creators of NASCAR Heat 1-4 so lets hope that Iracing pushes them to a new level or has another studio working on the project.
I just friggin hope that they will throw the HEAT style of game to the bin already ! Make it from the ground up properly already, even World Of Outlaws no matter how super fun i am having with it is using THE SAME engine and framework like those from 7 years ago ?? There are no camera options, hud options, seat position changing, not even audio sliders or any other menu settings when pausing the game mid race !!!
I hope they make an in-depth owner mode. Where drives can leave teams, and promoting drivers from lower series to the cup series. And hopefully where you see up and coming drivers from different forms of racing. It would be great
@CM32401 NASCAR 2004 AND 2005 are GOATs and Nascar games have never been that good since. I will never stop talking about those 20 year old games. They ain't overrated cause of nostalgia bias. They are just that good of games.
There are many things I want from the next console game because it is iRacing making it, but the two things at the top of my lists are all 3 national series, I mean the announcement did say EVERY DRIVER and even had Xfinity Series footage, and DLC for the Hall of Fame. I would love it if they had ARCA in the game since NASCAR owns it, but I completely understand if they don’t, and I don’t think they’d do a DLC pack for each HOF class, but I don’t think anyone would complain if we got drivers like the DALEs, The King, Awesome Bill, JIMMAY, Jeff Gordon, and Alan Kulwicki.
I'm hoping for caution replays, maybe an option to have running order scroll across the screen up top, maybe in playoff races have a cutline option to see how the points look (under caution or something)... an option to limit tires if you want (so you cant just pit for new tires all the time) and a decent career mode... id be fine with that stuff... also just make dlc different era cars and tracks... make paint schemes a free update... also take a few years to work on the next game and every year the new one doesnt come out a small dlc fee for updated rosters
This is a glorious day for NASCAR gaming, though Indycar fans must still wait for their deliverance from MSG. Indycar needs to end their patience and dump MSG sooner or later so we all may prosper. Enjoy your freedom, NASCAR. You deserved it.
What my dream was, was that consoles get a port of iRacing with just the NASCAR Tracks, cars, drivers, etc. This is good too tho. Also im surprised the license is still i thing after hearing that it was going to be a thing of the past. Im excited for 2025, looks like im going to have to buy a gaming PC setup for iRacing afterall
Thank god it’s going to iRacing. I can’t wait to try out the other tracks. Also waiting for the final Lotsa Delays shorts sketch where he’s officially out of the job.
Fucking Finally. It's about time a competent developer makes a NASCAR Video Game. This also means we're getting a sequel to NR2003, 20 Years later Crazy how 20 years later after so many awful and mediocre NASCAR games later, it finally gets handed to the same devs who made one of the greatest NASCAR Simulations of all time.
@@S.K.R.E.Inc. I doubt it, NR2003 has a very large fanbase. Plus, depending on how good or bad iRacing's upcoming NASCAR game is NR2003 will still be used.
Hoping this would still mean a PC release would be a thing even with iRacing itself being present. I doubt it would cannibalize iRacing because I'd imagine there'd be a very different audience for a NASCAR game.
I hope they get away from the format of the outlaws game. Tbh that game was built off of the same format that all monster games were made off of. Need a new and refreshing game with not so recognizable copy/paste features. I believe iRacing will provide this but as always, I’ll keep my expectations about where they have been until I’m proven otherwise.
And I thought you jinxed that when you said that Motorsport Games is down for good. But if anything, you got it right for once instead of jinxing it. Very happy for this news, iRacing made the World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing game, and I thought that game was very good. Hoping NASCAR's game is going to be very good come 2025.
I called my shot that Iracing should take over, and what do you know, I was right!!! But let's not get our hopes up too high. But for now, SO LONG MSG!!!! Burn In Hell!!!
I'm still not a fan of exclusive game rights, I'd rather it be an open license where multiple companies can make NASCAR games. But that being said, I'm excited for this new era regardless, hopefully they can put out a great product!
I honestly don’t know how to feel about this yet. As someone who has played every main series release NASCAR Video Game since EA Sports NASCAR 98, the NASCAR Gaming Community has faced disappointment over and over and over again. Ignition was obviously a Disaster, the Heat Series wasn’t all that great, Eutechnyx never really delivered, and the last 3 or so years of EA Sports saw a drop in quality. So it’s kind of hard to look at a new developer with too much optimism.
what you have to realize about world of outlaws, that's basically nascar heat 5 in a somewhat polished form. going back to the unity engine would be straight-up foolish. you can't do that anymore. do something different & higher in quality, and for fuck's sake don't let it break
It better not be subscription based. I doubt it will since it's gonna be dumbed down for consoles but then again we have been let down by console NASCAR games before
I can’t believe I actually paid for the championship edition of Legacy. What a shit show. I can’t wait for the new games if we could get different eras of cars and older tracks that aren’t used in the cup series anymore
Hope they bring back daytona beach lmao…also would be cool to play different races from different eras of nascar like going 210+ mph at talladega like in the 1980s or something…would be cool…and then maybe $15 roster updates and track updates per year…so you don’t have to buy a game every year…
Would it be too much to ask for a softer body damage model and consequences for wrecking like DNFIng and fixable damage could be taped up, even if it is only tape i don’t mind I just don’t want a magic car that is perfectly fixed just because you entered the pits
I'm skeptical of this. You'll probably need internet connection for just basic stuff, have to purchase and download each car and track individually, a license requirement, etc.
I literally only want one feature that isn’t widely available in other Motorsport games…if you take the role of owner-driver (either solo or shared ownership like more modern teams) is just to expand to more cars…I’ve always hated not being able to just have a teammate out on track with you, whether they be on your team, you on theirs, or someone else’s team entirely. Most games I see now are you solo no matter what and it’s a little annoying to be unable to expand operations beyond better/more series to race in. SRX almost had that but it was just that you could have hired drivers race for you in your car, and still under your name. It wasn’t a team just a hired third party system that could be exploited with minimal effort and time. So yeah, that’s all I want to see in this upcoming game, just let me have teammates if I own/co-own a team, especially since NASCAR is a team sport technically
No thanks. EA and Codemasters already have both F1 and WRC on their plate right now, so a third annual release would be too much. Plus it's EA we're talking about, so yeah...
Iracing is amazing company im glad there making nascar console games i always wanted them to make one glad to see it come true glad motorsports games are gone
Cross play would be great!!! xbox play station and pc . like NFS Hot pursuit remasterd and f1 23. also have a in game chat and voice option. do this and watch the Nascar gaming explode!!! League Racing will also come back on all platforms
I hope it’s just like iracing where you have to grid yourself and pit yourself and not where it’s guiding you and just port the iracing sim to console lol
I’m ready for the future of NASCAR gaming! Though I’ve heard that there are an insane amount of paid DLCs in IRacing, and if they’re making this new game, please don’t fall on the 2K / Madden route 🙏🏻
One can only hope...
Iracing is a subscription service where u pay for each car and track so it’s completely different model than they will build for a console game
Hopefully at least
its not the same thing as 2k diff dlc system
I'd rather pay for dlc like different cars or tracks than pay for different paint schemes... give us paint schemes as updates and pay for whatever tracks or different Era cars you want... I'm all for that
I love for them to make a game that celebrities the history of nascar with having all generations of cars, all tracks nascar had, And every livery in its history (film and community skins too). Maybe call it "nascar:legacy"
If we can race in different eras of Nascar now this will be the best Nascar Game ever made
at long last fellas, the sweet scent of freedom. MSG can't hurt us any more NASCAR wise.
So glad that we finally have a competent developer again instead of another C-tier company like GameMill to put everything in the gutter again. Here’s to a greater future for Nascar gaming starting in 2025! 🥂
