Great reaction and love your shoutout to For Today! That being said, Silent Planet has the best lyrics I have ever heard from a metal band... pure poetry.
This whole album is just nuts. The more I listen to it the more I love it. I swear there's a deep deep Jesus undertone, and especially the reckoning, just wow. There's two different pulls with Spencer there like a fork in the road, but the closing lines cement it for me. Masterfully created album, heavy as but so growth oriented, and musically just geez👌❤️🙏
I feel like found in far away places might be more experimental. If you like this, you should definitely check that out. And it’s my personal opinion that phantom anthem is the greatest album of any genre to ever exist, ever, in all of eternity. Nothing really comes close. It exists on it’s own playing field. It’s the standard of music. In terms of musical works, it’s the closest to perfection you’ll ever find. There isn’t a song on there that I could say I would change or refine in any way. It’s hauntingly beautiful in places, straight up nasty heavy in others, with lots of chill downs and breakdowns. The intros are the standout. So many memorable intros like the frost, dangerous, float, invisible enemy, and king of sorrow to name a few. And holy cow! Quake is bonkers! Phantom anthem has the best instrumentation of any ABR album and they’re already one of the best instrumentalists of the metalcore scene. I can’t recommend phantom anthem enough. It’s what I start people on if they haven’t heard ABR before.
@@rubemevangelista3868 yeah, coordinates hits hard! But then it drops masterfully into that chill section with the harsh singing. *Chef’s kiss* so tasteful!
The transition into Backfire makes that song hit so much harder, so amazing.
...and you always gotta appreciate Matt's flams into Revival...
The fact every song transitions into the next is just a masterpiece of an album
Yes its like a whole song
If you like that, Listen to Misery Signals-Controller album. For 2008, it’s super duper underrated and it’s WAY ahead of its time.
I highly highly recommend it
This album is my favorite from them yet. It’s incredible. I wouldn’t change a thing.

This whole album is a full course meal with no leftover crumbs 🔥
For Today is legendary. Miss those dudes, but Mattie is killing it. ABR killed this album, and great reaction, brother.

Saw them live earlier in the month and backfire was awesome live
The music video for backfire gives For Today break the cycle vibes as well
Leading up from fools gold to backfire I was wondering about that transition but it worked out great
Thanks for the reaction brother. This is Album of the Year for me 💯🔥
The Cleansing is a top ten ABR track, no question.
Agreed 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Sevink is “knives” backwards
Also, I live the Home Depot riff in Dark Divide
World Divided released a new album today!!! It's on the short side but it's EXTREMELY good
Love that they got Jason Richardson on as a feature
Definitely a candidate for AOTY, its a dam clinic in how to metalcore 😮
DAMN bro you were right about the Silent Planet vibes! I was thinking of For Today, but your take was way more accurate!
I thought that my headphones were starting to bug out when the intro to Sevink came on...

Damn bro I agree with you about Phantom Anthem at least with Coordinates. It's got the perfect intro, the best they ever wrote!

@@woodtroll3279 AND THE LYRICS! God, that song is a masterpiece.
@@rubemevangelista3868 Contempt is a weak metal for building anything of wonder.
Opening song is definitely “Silent burns red”
For all the people making silent planet comparisons, just know ABR are a decade older than silent planet 😂
