These drum licks are so iconic that within seconds you can tell what song it is. Amazing upload! Thank you Gary N Crüe! A special shoutout to the photojournalist for documenting this. 🙏🏻
I just worked in this studio a handful of times the last few months. Last time I was there the house engineer told me this used to be west beach recorders and I shit my pants. My first thought was DNG. ♥️
Holy grail of studio footage. The drums sound so good in that room that you could've used this camcorder audio for the mix. Garry, are these really outtakes - sounded to me like you were nailing it first take like a t-1000 terminator.
I knocked out 11 tracks on day 1. Day 2 we did a punch in on the end of Rockstars Airplanes, then tracked Fly in the Wall and Song. I believe you are seeing the final takes of those two alnong with some outtakes.
@@DONUTSNGLORYOFFICIAL Seeing that Offspring Smash commemorate on the wall would've had me locked in, too. Always appreciated your single bass pedal intermittent doubles - gave that album such a good, fun flow.
Man and the quality is really good! I had one one practice video of Millhouse and one live show with Nigel Six but that got "borrowed" and never returned 😑, the practice tape disappeared as well 😲😲😲.
Man I always wanted to set up my snare and Tom like that close but for some reason I never did, I can't remember if Bill Stevenson was the first i saw do that or someone else 🤔
@@DONUTSNGLORYOFFICIAL ah Regal Tip, I didn't see too many people play them. I remember Vince from Tilt gave me one of his Regal drum sticks and the tip was a nylon ball the size of a whopper candy
This is so epic. I can't believe I'm getting to see this footage in 2024.
Same emotions here bud.😮

Sadly, Paul passed in 2004. These recordings were thought to be lost for years until recently.
agreed, iconic!

That camera mic did that snare sound no justice but it was the 90's

Wow, I never heard the Fat Mike influence in Freddie’s vocals until hearing them back to back in this video. So interesting.
@@ligairi Those are scratch vocals. Sung kind of lazily. I hope WPRTE sounds different.
Waiting to hear the Piano track!!!!!!!!
How long were your sticks? 😮😮
Regal Tip Alex Van Halen signatures. 17.75" long 5B. I wish I could still buy them...

@@1thess523 The AVHs had a wood tip.
Garry, are you using two ride cymbals or three crashes with one set low next to your rack tom?
Big crash/ride in the low ride position. Ride cymbal to the right up high.
@@DONUTSNGLORYOFFICIALNice! I like the ride up high, Iron Maiden style. Derrick Plourde did that too, which is where I first saw it in a punk context
@@DrummingMoose Both influenced my drumming. Stick rebounds better for me.
