Appreciate the comment. Yeah if you size it up a bit it goes well in small surf while still being flickable. My friend who got it his normal size thought it was too small. So he scared me into getting mine the size I got. But now I’m glad I got it.
Im also 170lbs and have the 6'0. Its my favorite board when its 3-6ft in San Diego. I use it as my "good wave board" and surf a fish on all the other small average days
Nice, thanks for the comment. That's basically what I do too - with the 'fish' being my Mashup or if have to I'll longboard. What bout you? Next on the list is an uber groveler - and love to get the Machadocado locked in the quiver at some point - if the bank account allows it.
yo, I have my Twinsman but haven't ridden it yet; hoping to ride it soon. I will say, the one thing with Albums is the aesthetics of he board is really nice. They don't fit convention but they still look sick. Board looked good even given the crap conditions. Can't wait to see you on some better waves on it.
Thanks for the feedback per usual. Ya gotta get ya twinsman out there mate / what size do you have? My friend has a 5’4 from years ago that he shredded into the ground, he’s the one who got me more into twin fins. I got him into mid lengths more lol. Yea the Album boards have figured out an awesome look, and what I think a lot of other companies are kinda ‘copying’ right now. They just figure out that nice resin tint/shape combo that’s timeless. Feels great in hand also and is like a work of art. It be hard to sell simply from it seems like it’s one of my prized possessions lol. Yea maybe I’ll copy your cool new vlog narration technique (sorry) - if I see a bigger day to film - that be fun. Haha all is surf is small crap waves, it’s my upbringing.
Any thoughts on how this would compare to a 6' Mashup? Shapes are similar in many aspects. Obviously fin setup is different. Not sure how the rails compare.
Thanks for your comment. That’s a great question, They are very similar dimensions wise. I rode the 510 Mashup at Waco and I think the 6 foot Mashup wouldn’t be too dissimilar. It definitely rides more like a standard high-performance fish that is typically a tri fun, like the pod mod or RnF 96 probably. Rides familiar like a bike. The Album board is a bit more precise in having to ride it like your riding a retro fish board - tricky at first / but after adjusting you can shred it. Esp with the right fins (the NVS/Albums I say in the video I like a lot). I rode good other ones that were too skatey and not enough drive for the tail. The Twinsman is thicc’r in a 80s board way with its huge platform. Mashup is more gentle with its roll to rail, way flatter overall from end to end sideways, and the tail and nose are heaps thinner. So it rides more skim-boardy (in a good way). Album feels chunkier but has a certain magic from the platform and its sharp top & bottom edges (the tail edges are sharp af they will cut ya ha). I’m kinda becoming a sucker for Helium though - so besides this PU album I think I may be an epoxy convert now. But the Twinsman shape makes perfect sense for PU - altho be fun to have Dark Arts too, and it could ride a lot different even.
@@TravisVarga awesome, appreciate the detailed response! If you could only own one or the other, which one you going with? As a side note, I'm starting to really dig upping the volume on my boards. Started after stumbling upon a used 5'10 White Tiger and giving out a go. I'm the same stats as you. Can't believe how much fun the board. Also found a 6'2 S Boss that's loads of fun. Still not sure how much I'll ride it with my Florida waves, though. That's got me looking at these Twinsman/Mashup, and even Astro Pop, Pyzalian 2 style boards. Oh, lastly, I'm now looking at the machadocado (based on your review) to replace my 5'6 SP2. Just always loved the general range of the SP2 but hate the width and what that brings. Looks like the cado might be the trick (maybe even go crazy and look at the 6' as it's the same width as the 5'10?). Anyways, sorry for long response, and appreciate your content! 🤙
Thanks appreciate the feedback. Fa shoo - some times you do a turn on the board and it’s just really a great ol’ feeling. A bit loose but very controllable. Seems a lot of newer shapes have similar outline to the Twinsman these days. Think it’s a more a classic overall shape but refined heaps with the twin fins in particular.
Shit waves but still able to whip that much board around was pretty impressive tbh.. I can only imagine all that ease of paddling it has with getting into waves earlier.. makes surfing easy but can still perform.. I dig it.. I need one 6'0 it is .. thanks!
Haha for sure, appreciate the comment. It’s a fun board - if your an Album fanboy that Plasmic board looks like another good, bit more grovely option. The twins on the Twinsman keep the bigger sizes lively.
Haha good eye - there’s been some fun days in the mix. Overall though def on the smaller side - still having a blast. Sandbars around are pretty solid right now.
@@TravisVarga Absolutely! "Rights" has been going off in the AM's this past weekend, beach breaks are keeping me sane right now. Love my 5'7 Twinsman! This was a solid review.
Very good vídeo. You ride very well in this chunky waves. You are surfing the 6.0 but what is your weight?
Thanks - grew up in this kinda stuff lol. I’m 5’10 170 lbs. like having the extra float for sure.
Great review. Really helpful to see how it goes in weak waves.

@@TravisVarga I have the 5'4 in Varial. At the time, the Albums at Varial. Can't wait.
Frothing
I use the super upright AMT fins and really liked them.
Nice those sound similar to the NVS/Album ones - upright all day

You really selling this board bro 😎. Looks soo much fun 💯. Blown away how you’re ripping these ankle biters. Great work bro 🤙🏽

Shoutout GVIEW lol tough to see those waves from the last 6 months

got any footage of you riding this board at the wave pool?
Agree that purple mattress is junk. Sterns and Foster is much better. Aireloom mattress also good.
👍
Thanks!
every single wave on this vid is tiny. 100% not the conditions that suit this board, you'd be better on a plasmic. you surfing on a lake?
Haha it is quite similar to a lake. Plasmic would shred it
