Granted, there are lots of battles where issues between battlers where there isn't respect - but seeing two individuals battle on such a personal/intense level, but still maintain that respect underneath is so quintessentially battle rap. I’m not an A Ward fan generally, but he SNAPPED round one. So did Verb. One of the best round for round back and forths I’ve ever seen. I can’t call it. I’ll say this about A Ward: he’s a machine. When he’s on, which is often, he’s *technically* probably the best doing it right now. Unfortunately his delivery is super annoying, usually, and it’s hard to get behind his stage presence. This was not one of those times…I found him pretty believable and easy to listen to. It took Verb’s best to compete, and this was for sure Verb’s best.

Unfortunately his delivery is super annoying, usually, and it’s hard to get behind his stage presence. This was not one of those times…I found him pretty believable and easy to listen to.
