I am an Atheist, I am a Scientist, I take ghosts as jokes. So were the horror movies...till now. This one movie scared the shit out of me total 3 times in 13 minutes.... I still have goosebumps while typing the comment.
I’ve watched this over and over, and just realised that man was at the window, at 3:183:19 when she says she wants some fresh air. That just scared the shit out of me! How I didn’t notice it when it was uploaded, has got me?! This, I have to say; has to be one of the best shorts I’ve watched, and actually really enjoyed watching, to date. The actors are fantastic. I’d have loved to have seen this as a full length film. Though, I will never understand why people choose to live in houses, made of glass? No privacy, and especially at night. You’ve no idea, who’s lurking, hence me spotting the guy. Is he trying to tell the father, to let her know, him covering for her, and taking the blame, isn’t letting her accept responsibility, for forgetting to pick up their little boy? No parent should go through it, regardless. Losing a child, is unbearably heartbreaking. No matter the circumstances. I know. My baby brother, lost his only child/daughter, to an inoperable brain tumour last year. Seven years of age. My beautiful baby niece😢💔 It still wreaks havoc. A great short, overall. Hats off to everyone involved in the production of this. Still trying to figure out why she didn’t call for help? But I guess I will slowly but surely, figure it all out.
How have I not heard of Alter before now? Y'all are the best thing that's happened to me for a while. I have yet to watch something that's disappointed me.
The effect of GRIEF in one's MIND can greatly alter what one PERCIEVES. It can BLUR the thin line between REALITY and FICTION. It can cause MADNESS which then proceeds to HAUNT you in a MENTAL approach, or in severe cases, it presents itself as a PHYSICALLY TANGIBLE monster that haunts you. Which you again cannot differentiate as REALITY is now BENT due to the untamed beast known as GRIEF
The husband said that he feels like a stranger in his own house. This is because he knows that his wife was supposed to pick up the son, yet he feeds her delusion that it was his own fault. Phaedra claimed false rape against her stepson in order to hide her own consensual guilt (from her husband Theseus). The man from the meeting symbolizes the truth. The truth is killing the husband as he takes the burden of the responsibility instead of his wife.
This is for Brock and Daniel Perry, I did want to add that the film "Alone Time" was the reason that I began watching ALTER in the first place as it's one of my all-time favorite film shorts, just perfect and beautifully done.
when you lose someone so close to you, it's a pain that just breaks you. it drains you in the worst way. it's like being a shell of a person...laying on the ground staring up at all the emptiness...unable to move or think or process the thunderstorm inside of you...helpless like a robot with a broken power source and no one to repair you. it's a pain that just breaks you.

Okay, I hope I hope I am not alone in this...who else gets right to the point where its suspenseful, then pauses it just to read the comments for about 15 minutes before going back to ??
I think the man outside was Kevin’s truth, guilt and anger. He got angry after she blamed him for not picking up their son when in reality she forgot. That was the last straw, he stepped outside and started contemplating whether he should tell her the truth or not. Which in his mind he was having a conversation with a stranger. When he had the urge to tell her, he snapped and stabbed himself with the wind chime. In his last breaths he died still trying to protect her, from the monstrous truth. In the end she realizes it was all her fault 😔🌹
That's true, her stepson. Somehow I didn't get why it was a man that represented "Phaedra" in this short? Or was the stranger male because he was just reminding the husband of the fact that his wife is like Phaedra?
So... She killed their son and he's doing everything he can to help cover her crime? Including throwing himself under the bus by making himself appear to be the one at fault for his "disappearance".
ashton simpson the mother didn’t kill her son - but he is missing because she forgot to pick him up. Then the father took on the blame to attempt to help her grieve, but it ultimately backfires on him.

But leave it up to ALTER to get hold of perfection 😉 Yal are the fix for this lockdown
@@Ilovelsb I can't wait to see it !!! 🤩🤩🤩
Excellent horror film . Love it 😘😘
Thanks so much, we're all super proud!
@@Ilovelsb You are welcome 😊😊
Thank you ALTER. you give us great entertainment. appreciate that
I am an Atheist, I am a Scientist, I take ghosts as jokes. So were the horror movies...till now. This one movie scared the shit out of me total 3 times in 13 minutes.... I still have goosebumps while typing the comment.
Thats great!
This wonderful creation was violently disturbing. Great job.
Thanks!
I’ve watched this over and over, and just realised that man was at the window, at 3:18 3:19 when she says she wants some fresh air.
GRIEF MIND PERCIEVES BLUR REALITY FICTION PHYSICALLY TANGIBLE REALITY BENT GRIEF
The beautiful simplicity of just replacing 1 word.
Absolutely excellent
Can’t wrap my head around the “Phaedra” portion.
Think of him as a symbol more so than a person. Sure he is grounded in reality, but what is he acting as?
Brock Bodell, A key unlocking the truth...but, why the selection/use of the specific word “Phaedra”?
I'm trying to figure that out as well. It's clear that "Phaedra, Phaedra!" is a menace in this film. We have to review the myth and the play.
@@Ilovelsb Symbolic, for sure, as Phaedra is a woman in Greek mythology. Which is a clue in and of itself.
Thanks Joe!
4:10 - the husband said 'dead kid', when the kid is meant to be missing.
He's the bad guy
As a mother and grandmother, this horror is very powerful. Wow.
Why is this house ALL sliding glass doors and NO curtains?
WOW Brock and Daniel! This was very gripping with a very serious overtone and cant wait to show my friends and colleagues. Please keep these comng!
I hate how these stories leave off the way they do, but, it's good that they leave things to your imagination.
Yeah I mentioned in another answer, we wanted to leave the viewer with something to chew on :)
when you lose someone so close to you, it's a pain that just breaks you. it drains you in the worst way. it's like being a shell of a person...laying on the ground staring up at all the emptiness...unable to move or think or process the thunderstorm inside of you...helpless like a robot with a broken power source and no one to repair you. it's a pain that just breaks you.
Phaedra is a goddess in greek mythology who commits suicide out of guilt, so there's that.
There's definitely that!
this was one of the most unsettling films i’ve seen in a while. i’ve watched it maybe 4 times today. so clever and beautifully done!
Thanks a lot Aubrey. We're glad it affected you :)
The stranger reflects her inner self. She lost her mind and killed her husband. Now you can watch again for more details.
I found this channel about a month ago, and I've been ALTERed ever since.
Keep up the good work, you guys!
I wouldn't care if my neighbors talk about me
Renamon 565 you’re stronger than most then!
Wow, thanks Alter ❣
And ofcourse, great actors 👍🏻. Job nicely done...
AAAAAAH I LOVE IT😍💖
Thanks so much for watching it! We're super proud!
@@Ilovelsb You should be. Y'all did damn good. I wish I could sponsor a full movie but unfortunately I'm afflicted with a severe disease that requires much treatment.
Have you ever heard of poverty?🤣
But on a real you guys are amazing💖
@@melaninqueen1286 I'm well acquainted with that affliction. We are currently trying to develop a feature now. Let Alter know you want us to make one with them ;)
Thx you ALTER, there’s always a lesson and message in your movies👏👏👏👏👏
was it the wife standing over someone in the bushes while wearing a patchwork coat? does this show her killing the son? im sooo confused
Me tooo.. I'm still tryna narrow it down lol
Glad I'm not the only one totally confused!
I think they had some god ideas and used everything they had not caring about linking stuff someway. I'm disappointed
no I think that was just a glimpse into the fact that their son was abducted and killed by a stranger
Wow !!! This short was fantastic !!!
I absolutely loved it 😍😍😍😍
Okay, I hope I hope I am not alone in this...who else gets right to the point where its suspenseful, then pauses it just to read the comments for about 15 minutes before going back to ??
Very sad and it shows what someone who loves you would do for you to protect you. For better or worse. Loved it!!!!!!
like if alter should make a scary movie😂
Sometimes the truth is terrifying! I liked it a lot.
Hi I love this channel ❤️ so much I can't explain I'm a horror type of gal
Sounds like you've been ALTERed! Thanks for watching!
Sydney Jenkins u-tube that's awesome to see. Not a lot of girls enjoy being scared so it's nice to find one that does
@@Foxy-ve1oh awww thanks xx
@@Foxy-ve1oh ummm u seem nice do u want my number
Sydney Jenkins u-tube no I already have a lot of friends. Plus I've always kind of been cautious of strangers so....
You couldn’t pay me to live in a house with window walls like that. You’re just asking for someone creepy to be chillin outside in the bushes lol
The guy in front of the window is REALLY nightmarish!
So many of these need to be full length movies, great concepts!
Jebus the Amazon guy knocked on my door at the wrong part....scared me shitless
Seneca's Phaedra accused another of her own crime / sin. Ahhhhhh, I see what you did here. 👏👏👏👏
ruclips.net/video/Sb-SVPJM4L4/видео.html
That's true, her stepson. Somehow I didn't get why it was a man that represented "Phaedra" in this short? Or was the stranger male because he was just reminding the husband of the fact that his wife is like Phaedra?
WOW ! ... that was emotionally turbulent .... great casting , acting and direction & of course cinematography ... totally a standout !
Thanks so much. We had a really great squad on this one.
The keitel be like : am i a joke to you
Tea kettles are always the last thing remembered in a horror movie.
CAN YOU HEAR ME!?! CAN YOU!?!?
Worth the promotion. Keep it up Alter. You fucking rock!!
I was so interested at first until the awkward scare jumps in a lot of confusion
You can't win em all! Keep watching, it should pay off ;)
Absolutely mind blowing. Didn't expect that.. awesome Job
Thanks so much!
So in actuality, it was the mothers fault. Smh wow
I am not the type who's into this style of "analyze this chopped movie parts" but the part where the stranger appeared was really scary.
😳why she leave the door open tho-
👀
Shit be pissing me off
