- Just a quick test of the detech 4.5x7 detech excelerator coil. The coil seemed to go fairly deep for its size and seem to ID the same as the stock coil. It was cold so I did not stay out long. Link below to purchase the V3i from amazon to help support the channel. Thanks. amzn.to/2PGgqhw
Great video love the V3 I
DirtFishing is among the best with the White's Spectra V3i! I have added the 4x6 DD Eclipse Shooter, and the White's 300 LTD 12" Concentric. He can certainly work the Raptor 31 (C). DirtFishing did you ever study the 'wrap around' feature on the VDI? These conditions can influence target response beyond normal discrimination ranges, sometimes referred
to as “wrap around”. Hence, when mineralized ground is upwardly influencing the VDI number, it may be beneficial to accept +95. The “wrap” control found in the frequency section of the expert menu is also helpful in identifying
these difficult targets. P.32 . The only time I ever found much information is in the manual. Thanks for the video!
Thanks. I never really got too technical with them just tried to learn them the best I could......;o)
@@DirtFishing You done a very good job! Many really appreciated you! Thanks!
I have used this coil on 3 short outings now at a local park. Found a small piece of jewelry with it today. I notice two nice features I dont get out of the larger coil I have. This coil is very stable, even with the signal strength cranked all the way up and I can get closer to fences without it reacting to the fence or metal light poles. Nice coil for the parks.
Always enjoy your videos. V3i is a great machine... thanks for sharing.
Man, I am envious of the soil you're digging in. I have the exact same trowel and I swear, I could barely scratch the surface of the hard clay soil in my area. Literally like trying to dig into concrete.
Quite the little coil thanks for showing us fans :)
Thanks.
I love my V3i. Thanks for the vid!
Another great video thanks for sharing Bill I really enjoy them
Very nice.
Thanks Bill for the Demo on the Excelerator Coil, Love your video's Awesome Job! Keep up the great work! There's a lot of new detectors coming out on the Market!
I noticed on one of your other videos that you set up the v3i to show single frequency in search mode and 3 frequency in pinpoint mode. How did you set it up like that? Anytime I set mine to a single frequency it shows single frequency in both search and pinpoint.
I would have to look at that video again. I don't think it is possible.
Nice show once again , class act.
Funny, I just got the same coil for my v3i last week and have used it 1 time so far. I like the coil, though my 1st experience with it is the depth reporting isn't accurate. Found that it reports most objects shallower than the actual depth by 2 inches. Im hoping to find some gold jewelry in some of the trashy areas I hunt.
Did you try setting your coil to a different size in the menus?
I did change the config setting to the smallest listed coil in the option list before using it. You know, found this for sale, only $50 from the big online detector store. Also, i had just logged on to youtube looking to see reviews on this coil, and ha, found you had just posted a video on the coil. Very cool. Thanks for posting your hunts, always interesting.
Great video bill! Glad to see more of your videos coming out. You are one of my favorite detectorist! Jw
Whites отличный прибор своего времени. Хороший обзор! Лайк!
Nice test !! on the Coil , keep up goiing
Nice hunt bud! Thanks for doing these! HH and best of luck
Welcome back Bill. Looks like that small coil has no problem going deep.
I have gotten targets at 10 with my old one, regret i ever sold it. Have not been able to find a used one in a while.
Where can I purchas e both items the coil and pointer?and is there a better or cheaper one since this vid was made 5 yrs ago???thanks for the vid it answered all my hopes .SERIOUS it will stop me digging a hole to china everytime my 3vi or vx3 goes off ,the exersize for the 10 year old bottlecap is great cardio though😂😂
I dont think they make either one anymore. Your best bet would probably be to search online like ebay or facebook marketplace or metal detecting forum classifieds. The probe is called a DX-1
@DirtFishing Hey thanks man I really appreciate the response. I did find the pointer at a place called serious detecting and I found a four point five by seven inch coil like you were using on a goodwill site I couldn't find it anywhere else. They were all sold out the guy had it for 60 bucks. I put it in my light or watched items. He told me he would give it to me for $56 then. I think he realized what he had I considered this for about 12 hours. And went back the offer was still there but he'd raised the price to a 110 on the actual item so of course I accepand it's. On its way I honestly can't figure out. How to pinpoint I did find a 1966 dime yesterday after DIGGING for 3 hrs it always says it is money my settings are messed up
AWSOME can't wait to just use mine. Got to wait for Christmas. Definitely get one of those coils next year do u no if they got coil cover for standard coil.
Coil covers for the 10" DD coil?
DirtFishing yes do u suggest to get one
Some people use them some don't. If you were going to be detecting in a lot of gravel or rocks then i would probably get one. Otherwise you would probably be fine without one.
Hi dirt, the detech 4.5x7 detech excelerator and the detech eq pro 6" DD coil are v-nulled? working very well in mono freq at 22,5 khz with high disc and rx gain? good video ;)
It has been so long since I had the coil I cant say for sure. But in the comments I say it had the same ID numbers as the stock coil so it probably was.
Do you find the smaller coils allow you to separate targets in higher trash areas? I have the standard D2 coil on my V3i, but have several coils for my older DFX. Thanks for the vid!
For sure.
Great vids- could you link up that pinpointer in the vid? I didn't realize Whites had a connected option. Also, do you like it better than the regular "detached" models?
bkeene12 those probes are made by Sunray
If you were going to a trashy area that should hold good old targets and you could only go there once with only one coil on the V3i which coil would you choose?
if I were looking for shallow targets among the trash I would probably take this coil. If I was expecting deep coins and relics I would go with the 10" DD or the Ultimate. I know they are big but they go a lot deeper.
DirtFishing, I have the stock, 13”, and 6x10 but was looking to get a shooter coil for this year. Wanted your opinion and you gave it, thanks!
Hi, what were you running your sensitivity at ? Thanks.
Wonder if you've had any experience with some V3I's that run better (hotter) than others. Seems like great machines but not all are equal in performance.
I had one that was a real dud. Seems like it would not id properly at 3 inches. The others I have tried seemed pretty good.
what sunray pin pointer do you use on your V3I ?
How does this compare to the Whites 4x6 coil?
On low conductors they seem pretty close but on high conductors this one seems to go a few inches deeper. I will try to do an air test between this the 4x6 and the 6x9.
Sweet! I cant wait for that comparison vid. Thanks for all your great info in your vids. Your awesome!!!
Are u a left handed carpenter????
No.....I am a right handed computer tech.....;o) If you are talking about the black thumbnail I had my hands full and was trying to close my car door and forgot to move my thumb....Lol
DirtFishing lol bet that hurt!!!
