Overpowering a group of people vastly weaker than you is not the feat you think it is. Soldier Boy and Butcher literally only have strength and durability. Homelander can fly, is 100X faster than them. Can SEE THROUGH WALLS. And has lasers that can shred planes. That said, Homelanders top speed is only used once, Implying it was an adrenaline boost. @@rexxxxxxxx001 which is sad but hey it is what it is.
Brightburn is completely invincible except for the metal of his ship. Homelander would get worn down without it
?
That is just no-limit fallacy.
If Superman can bleed form a blow strong enough by some super-beings, so can Brightburn.
A railgun fires Mach 3-7 projectiles of metal a tank-shell small, and they pierce titanium plates like butter.
Homelander can move Mach 23+ without trying (speed of C4 explosion he just out-walked)
So, he is ~4 times faster than a rail gun. Since kinetic impact scales with square of speed, Homelander is 16+ times more impactful than a railgun from the sheer speed alone.
Multiply it by a factor of roughly hundred (mass of adult compared to a small railgun projectile)….
And we get kinetic impact from Homelander’s bull-charge punch be 1600 times the one of a military-grade railgun.
In other words, Homelander can fly through the Great Wall of China that is made out of pure titanium as easily as a hot knife through butter.
Also, in comics, Homelander can single-handedly lift a bridge with ease. That is 100 000 tons of weight which he can casually exert with leverage.
Without leverage, Homelander in comics can finger-flick a jet as if it is a toy.
So, in other words, Homelander can just fly into space and rocket straight down, leveling a mountain in one hit.
Bright burn is a joke compared to that upper limit of Homelander’s.
@@kingol4801I’m not trying to be mean, but that is the nerdiest shit ever, you could’ve just said they were wrong

@@mista_j2355 There's no evidence to support that he cannot be harmed either, infact evidence leans towards quite the opposite as it is implied he was momentarily stunned by a man made bullet. It's more safe to assume he can be harmed by other super beings just as superman can, who is incalculably stronger than brightburn. This is like the only argument for why brightburn would win against homelander
If you look up Brightburn he's basically the story of Superman turned evil from when he's born. Homelander still don't stand a chance against a bloodlusted version of Supes. called Brightburn. He's toast against Brandon.
Homelander clears💀 He has way better feats, Experience and just overall outscales him
Homelander is basically if Superman was evil so whats your point?
@@XenderblazeX but my question is, how? brightburn can only be hurt by his own ship so how does homelander beat him in a 1 on 1 fight
@@nlgkekjnsk1 he’s only been CUT by his ship, he isn’t immune to blunt force attacks and he’s NEVER FOUGHT SOMEONE WITH SLIGHT ABILITIES, Homelander is a better fighter and has better feats such as speed and strength, homelander can move at Mach 24 in an instant meanwhile all brightburn can do is keep up with a airplane, in The Boys comic MM calculated that homelander can bench 1,104,000lbs or 552 tons meanwhile all we’ve seen brightburn lift is a 2 ton truck, meaning Homelander is 276x stronger and 36x faster than brightburn
@@XenderblazeX you have no idea if hes immune to blunt force attacks or not, we have to assume he is because he specifically was hurt by nothing other than his ship also anything said about the comic is invalid toward this argument because we are referring to show homelander and the power and speed quite obviously scales very different in both
Ohh wow i never even thought of this actually being a fight good one Danco 🕷️🕸️🤘
I think the question is who was designed to be closest to super man’s power level. The answer is clearly Brightburn. There is your winner.
On what basis is Brightburn written to be closer to Superman than Homelander?
And no, “Homelander has been hurt!” isn’t valid. Not only has Branden never fought any superhumans to struggle with, Superman gets hurt by people as strong as him pretty much alll the time.
Ok and now give proof.
@@xeox4280 it is self explanatory. But I will give easy ones real quick. Brightburn origin story is exactly like that of Superman. Easy point, but crucial. Homelander was just an experiment. He is only a little stronger than Soldier boy and most likely will be surpassed by his son soon. Homelander, like his son can do none of the feats Brightburn can easily perform at a young age. That right there should be enough. Ahh Brightburn is a whole alien with obvious potential. Homelander is a genetically engineered human. Whenever has a genetically engineered human being as strong as Superman?Even if you got examples, this ain’t it. That’s it, no more is needed to prove that point.
@@Anubus3030 well said
@@Anubus3030you finish him .
Only counter-point that comes to mind is that Brandon is stated/shown to only be capable of being harmed by the metal from his ship. Unless Homelander can learn that - and sorry, Homelander isn't that bright, and doesn't have Superman comics to look at that might make him think "Oh the kid's probably got some kinda kryptonite somewhere," nothing Homelander can do will actually drop Brandon.
At the same time though, it's not like they showcased someone else going against him who had super strength. So this could actually be the first "modern" evil Superman that Homelander could beat in a fight.
That is just no-limit fallacy.
Superman can be hurt and bled by blows from equally strong opponents. That happens to him all the time, no kryptonite necessary.
Meanwhile, Homelander (both TV and comics) has strength feats that dwarf Brandon’s entirely.
@@kingol4801Right, like I said in the second paragraph. We've never seen Brandon throw down with another superhuman; if we're being honest, we haven't even seen him handle *military* ordnance unless I'm remembering incorrectly. Personally, I do think it's a mistake to assume that the ship was the "only thing" that could hurt Brandon; I do, however, think it might be the "only thing" *normal civilians* could use to hurt Brandon.
@@kingol4801Poor homelander

@@MrQwerx.The comics are canon. They're just a canon separate from the show
Homelander can't hurt Brightburn, while Brightburn can just laser through Homelander.
Brandon would literally rip Homelander's head off because he's basically evil Superboy. He is much, much, much closer to Superman's power level than Homelander.
2:03 Homelander chose not to help the passengers as it would help Vought
Brightburn answers the question: What if Superman was evil? He is only weak to the ship made of metals from his home planet. And the speed feet's for Brandon seem faster. Sorry but I think beightburn wins that fight. Homelander is a genetically modified human, but still human. Bright burn for all intensive purposes is kryptonian I know they don't say it but he has the same properties as one. Kid stuck his hand in a lawn mower.
Homelander could have easily saved everyone on that plane, he could have individually flown each passenger to land safely long before the plane actually hit the earth, like how he saved Butcher from that explosion
That's what I thought
Yeah, but he's also far from the smartest person in the Boys universe. He and Maeve spent A LOT of time talking about what could and couldn't be done and very little time actually doing anything.
He could he just didn’t give a flying f so he didn’t even want to try.
He's not that Fast.
Not to fly to the Nearest Land and Back like 100 times in the Span of a Few seconds since the Plane was going down. Maeve Suggested it in the Scene. Homelander just mocked the idea of "coming back 103 times".
Although he already had his Mind set on letting everyone die the Moment he fucked up. He can't risk bad PR,and he knew he could flip the accident on their way if everyone died.
Fly under the front landing gear, assist the plane in a controlled descent into the ocean.

Brightburn was able to pick up the SUV in flight. Granted he didn't go high but he only stopped because he wanted to not because he wasn't able to go higher. Homelander has admitted he can't use his super strength during flight. Also the fact his internal organs are vulnerable (as shown by Maeve with just a pencil) is an enormous weakness. Brightburn similar to Superman can not be harmed in any way with materials from Earth. I think you have drastically underestimated BB. Would you say Homelander could easily beat a teenage Superman? No, of course not and that is exactly what Brandon is.
"Brightburn was able to pick up a suv in flight" -cool so did homelander to a family right before killing them
"Honelander has admitted he can't use his super strength during flight" -and when did he say that his strength doesn't magically turn off blatantly lying are we?
Trueeee
Gret feats for his age.
His internal organs are NOT vulnerable.
Soldier Boy swallowed assault rifle bullets without any difficulty. Hurts, but does not leave any wounds.
The only reason Homelander got hurt in the ear was because the item was showed into him with super strength.
For reference, Queen Maeve can dead stop an armoured truck at full speed with no blowback or damage.
So, if Queen Maeve can just ignore an armoured truck as if it was a piece of paper thrown at her, she can very much do some railgun-like impact with every direction blow.
So, it does not matter what the object was - if he got showed into Homelander with super strength (force = M*acceleration, therefore super-acceleration)… Homelander will be damaged.
Likewise, if a speedster throws a metal needle into Earth with a 99.9% of speed of light, entire continent will be turned into dust.
That is the logic there.
Homelander is vulnerable to internal damage, but only if it is enough to hurt him externally as well.

Homelander would probably win against a child Brightburn, but the story might be different if facing Brightburn as an adult. Apparently Brightburn's only known weakness is the metal alloy that his ship is made of, but Homelander wouldn't know that.
Nah. Homelander got stabbed by a straw. That automatically put him under brightburn to me.
?
If a speedster flings a metal needle into a planet with a speed of 99.9% of the speed of light, entire continent will be turned into dust.
Queen Maeve can stop a full-speed armored truck INSTANTLY with 0 pushback.
If she has that level of super strength, she can shove a piece of metal with a supernatural force (hence, super-acceleration) to turn 1 meter thick block of solid titanium into dust.
Also, Homelander got hurt by a super-being with super-strength and walked it off shortly afterwards.
Meanwhile a human mom was able to stab Brightburn with a piece of metal……..
Compare a force of a Queen Maeve to a generic mom, lol.
@@kingol4801 it was his kryptonite and his mom didn't stab him at all.
The few video's you've made have made me believe you don't actually know much about the lore. Brightburn has shown no weaknesses (besides the material from his home like Superman has). Homelander has been bruised, and hurt during his fights. Brightburn would beat him horribly.

His speed seems superior to Homelanders at least.
I don't know, Brightburn is an alien just like Superman and Homelander is man made at the end of the work day.
Homelander would loose against bright burn because homelander is slowly aging and can be hurt by normal punches meanwhile bright burn is just a alternate universe Superman
Brightburn: Why are you here, to be a hero?

Barley hurt him and it was done by another supe who is comparable to him in strength applying this to real life if you had a pillow fight of course nothing would hurt and everything is all fun and games but if you had a pillow fight with Eddie hall or Mike Tyson then you'd be acting differently
Brightburn vs Hancock
hancock if he tried wouldve throwed that well right through the moon without a sweat no theory the truth hancock could lift an entire moon theyre both superman basically
@@nyiawilliams8894On what basis do you say Hancock could hurl an entire moon?
I think it’s more than BB is featless.
If their powers are equal, Homeland is winning because of experiences, having actual fights under his belt. In a few years, though, that edge is gone. Brightburn is still growing up and there's no reason to think his powers won't grow as well.
They’re literally the same character. Homelander isn’t more powerful, he’s just bigger. He’s not even more mature. “The Boys” has abundantly demonstrated that the entire reason Homelander is dangerous is that he’s an overgrown child. His entitlement and petulance combined with superhuman abilities make him very hateable and very dangerous.
Unless someone can demonstrate that power has anything to do with size or age, i’m not convinced that this prediction is even relevant, let alone accurate. It’s widely known that immature venomous snakes are more dangerous than mature snakes exactly because they don’t effectively mitigate the dosage of their venom. Their youth, inexperience and, frankly, irrational nature makes them more dangerous than adults that more carefully calculate risk vs reward. In which case, Brightburn is every bit as dangerous as Homelander, if not more. Whatever extent Homelander has learned to suppress himself for clicks, isn’t an issue for a budding supervillain. Any adult who has attempted to outlast an energetic youth knows there’s no competition. Unless Homelander can outmaneuver his equally potent and more energetic youthful equal early on, he’s done for. He loses his kool and gets smoked by a kid. End of story.
Except with superpowered combat feats are only things that matter. Powers and their magnitude, not their origin or “attitude”.
Otherwise I can just summon a Saitama argument and say that an average guy doing push-ups can solo both Homelander and Brightburn… whilst being one step away from crippling depression.
Homelander in comics can lift 100 000 tons with one hand, swim in the sun and survive anything but a direct impact of a nuke (and we are not taking about the heat/radioactive shockwave - we are talking about minuscule 1 meter by 1 meter epicenter of the nuke that turns atoms into pure energy).
Homelander in the show can move at Mach23+ casually, hard-stop armoured truck at full speed instantly with 0 difficulty (Maeve feat, who is weaker), tank Tzar bomb without injuries (Soldier Boy feat) etc.
The only thing that came close to hurting him was a metal rod launched into him by a super strength (hence, super-acceleration) user. Anything less was just bruising.
For reference, a speedster can shove a metal needle into the planet at 99.9% of the speed of light and turn a continent to dust instantly. Do not underestimate the impact of super-strength/speed.
Brightburn has to look into a direction for a few seconds to melt something with his vision.
Homelander can cut down a plane in a fraction of a second, as if was made of thin air all along.
Homelander would just rush into him, punch a hole in the Brightburn and pull his spinal cord out. That is it.
Brightburn has no feats whatsoever to make him anyhow vulnerable.
Hell, Brightburn was CUT by a force applied by a regular human mom to an alien metal object.
The reason he couldn't save the plane was closer to reason B. If he put enough pressure on it to lift it in any location, it'd torn off.
The thing is, Brightburn was created to literally be evil Superman. Brightburn as he is now is Superboy essentially before he reached puberty.
Now an adult Brightburn would be right where Supes is now, but with the evil and the not holding back ever.
He'd paste Homelander - literally.
How about giving Brightburn an opponent closer to his age?
Brightburn VS Shazam (DCEU)
Both are teenagers who get Superman-like powers and use them for selfish purposes, but one learns the error of his ways whereas the other doesn't.
Homelander got a stainless steel straw tapped, BB need alien crystals to get hurt......
2:20 He's unable to carry the plane because of the pressure his hands would put on the hull, not because he's not strong enough. If he tried to lift a plane, he would just pass right through it because the surface of contact of his hands is too small to spread the weight of the plane. It's basicaly the same thing as when Queen Maeve stands in front of the truck and cuts it in half, her surface of contact is small enough that instead of stopping the truck she just goes through it.
Exactly this.
Seems superhero fans do not understand basic physics.
Well, Brandon didnt start getting his powers until he reached an age.
As he grew and tested himself, his powers grew too. Homelander already at the same lvl as Brandon as a child. What would his power lvl be once hes matured to adult? Unknown since Brightburn story hasn't been fully explained.

I think I have a good suggestion for a fight breakdown:
Velociraptor Squad (Jurassic World) VS Atrociraptor Squad (Jurassic World Dominion & Chaos Theory)
Good thing this is the kid version of Brightburn and not the adult. Should have been Brightburn vs Homelander's kid.
I think you forgot to mention that Brightburn's only weakness is the metal of the ship he crashed in, whereas with Homelander, all he needs to do is pummel him around and keep him from finding out his weakness, so if you bothered to include that, Brightburn actually wins, not Homelander
Yup
Okay, for the record in the comic book it’s explicitly stated that a nuke can disintegrate the Homelander (by Stillwell).
And in the comic book, the guy who killed the Homelander BARE-HANDED dies from depleted uranium rounds. And a crowbar. Sigh.
The Homelander is impressive by his universe’s standarts, but by DC standarts he’s a pushover. Brightburn is, basically, Superboy Prime (the guy who kills you to death). As a matter of fact, the fight wouldn’t even start.
Yeah brightbutn did all those things as a kid, with no help from anyone to learn how to control his powers. Homelander was raised in a facility surrounded by people trying to teach him.
Put BB to the same age as homelander or take a tennis HL and put him against BB and its a different out come
Hey I know you probably won’t see this comment, but I really wanna acknowledge how you show his realistic strength and durability feats. A lot of people gloss over things like the fact that the “every weapon “ is obviously an over exaggeration, or the fact that he struggled but still beat soldierboy. A lot of people take his strength and durability feats black and white without actually looking into the context or situations. It’s rare to see any content creator actually take those into consideration. I really appreciate this aspect of your fight breakdowns, thanks bruv
Comic black noir laughing in the corner (Literally): 🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿
you didn't mention how Brightburn cannot be physically harmed... unless you know his weakness.
Well we never saw him go against super strength, only mortal weapons. BB's durability feats are ones that can basically be replicated by a lot of Supes in The Boys universe.
Yes only the weakness can beat him.
@@TheSaiyantonian lol no, there's nothing to backup your claim.
Only the ship is the weakness for him, only thing who can beat brightburn
Homelander the fodder😂
Poor rip off, the weakest one!! Lmaooo
My math teacher be looking like Homelander 💀
Adult Brandon demolishes homefodder
For sure Brandon is still little adult Brandon is overkill I'll say 19 year old Brandon stomps everyone in the boys
It would be a massacre
@@Snod2k5 yeah duh 😅
brightburn is a sleeper agent kind of a villain and he got that superman kinda vibe to it so yeah
Brightburn wins. Imagine Brandon as an adult?
I want to see adult Brightburn vs SUPES!
Just cuz he’s a kid doesn’t mean he’d lose weight don’t actually know how strong bright burn is so he could be better than homelander in every way
He's not at all
@@thouken5777 how do you know he only had one movie so you can’t say that for certain
@@bawlerking4155 "HOw d0 yOu kNoW?" -maybe because homelander here is the one with feats that severley outscale beightburn? Brightburn is a teenager he's not getting much stronger unless you show me feats of easily throwing away 40,000+ pound planes with one hand for fun and easily going supersonic faster than jets then don't even speak about "maYBE"
Yeah true
@@bawlerking4155 you right👍
It’s the second. The plane would crumble with all that pressure in one place
Exactly this.
Homelander does not have much leverage.
He can accelerate and impact the ship, but that would rip it in half.
The kid is basically superman like... "SUPERMAN " and then you say homelander is more powerful! Then a superman? Oh please.!!
We do not know if he would be the same powerlevel as superman though. And then which superman are we talking about?
Brightburn's mask is terrifying with his heat vision glowing
I thought Homelander didn't save the people on the plane because it would have taken too much effort. He did save Maeve, because he flew her to safety, so he would have to repeat that with each person on the plane, and he just didn't want to bother putting in that much work.
I think he just didn't want to risk looking bad. He tries to move or even pick up the plane, good chance he just breaks it, planes are only designed to bear their load in very specific ways, it's reasonably likely he just punches through or breaks pieces off. And then it goes down in a way where it's obvious he tried and failed, and that's bad. And sure, he carried Maave off, but Maeve is a high end super. Normal people, even if he slowed down, might not survive, it'd be a long and tedious process where he kills some people, maybe most people, and that looks really bad. Maybe he saves them, maybe he looks like a failure. If he just lets the plane crash... well... fudge the timeline a bit and, darn, those darn terrorists took down the plane before Homelander got there. It's a tragedy, but hey, it's sure not Homelander's fault. He's a risk averse psychopath. Why try to save them, when failing carries a risk to the only things he really cares about... his image and ego... when letting them die risks nothing? He has zero motivation to risk the things he cares about for people he doesn't care about.
Brightburn vs Hulk next.
Cosmic Superman says:
"Hold my Blunt!"

The Avengers 1.000.000 BC vs Justice Legion Alpha.
Dude... Homelander is right about the plane incident... Trying to stop a plane with your hands is like trying to stop a 60mph car by pressing against it with 2 screwdrivers.
Black Noir was supposed to be his equal. But Homelander ripped his heart out.
Always felt the shoulder pads are very Judge Dredd, but that was before seeing the animated stuff. In that it's basically Dredds gold eagle hes got going.😊
This guy just recycles the same content over and over again
I swear, I don’t bother watching all of it I just go too the ending part
I thought I was going crazy-
The video was just uploaded but I've heard half of it already.
If the information does not change at all.
why would you bother re-recording it if you needed to have 30 episodes that cover the same exact topic or information.
Is it lazy? sure.
And always base his fights on who got the most scenes/material shown other then get in depth on feats
@@draluxii literally
You're wrong he couldn't have moved the plane because it's physically impossible to lift it without breaking it unless he was as big as ant man or something

The smaller the point of contact is between two things when pressure is added the easier it pierces something. If I put a knife under some meat and push it against it, the knife goes through the meat. If I instead push a big tray under the meat and push just as hard I easily lift it without damaging it.
Homelander is small enough that he acts like a knife
Homelander VS SCP 096
This really made me see the parallel between Brightburn and Saiyan Kids - only thing missing is the Hreat Ape transformation.
There is a flaw in your logic. You are making statements about the strength of Brightburn and Homelander without data to support your positions. Homelander in the realm of The Boys is super strong, though honestly based on what has been represented I would argue that at best he is marginally stronger than the likes of Queen Mauve and A Train and nothing in his fight with Soldier Boy convinced me that he's stronger than he is as during that fight they both successfully stopped the other's movements. I would also point out that unlike Homelander, I don't believe Soldier Boy received any bruises.
Brightburn flew through sheet steel if memory serves. His body density is beyond what's represented on the periodic chart, and while the same may well be also true regarding Homelander, there's nothing in the imperial data suggesting Homelander's density is higher. Lack of evidence, isn't evidence.
Total side note, Homelander has a few fundamental weaknesses. One of which is he's not a very smart person. Specifically he doesn't understand how to use his powers well. He could have controlled the decent of the plane and saved everyone. Not by holding it up, which I thought was a great application of physics into the realm of comicbook powers, but by pushing on it sideways using a controlled rate of speed, he could have slowed it down and brought it down with little to no loss of life, if he A) was smart enough to realise he could, and B) honestly was willing to put in that much effort.
Lastly I'd point out that while one on one Homelander may be the strongest of the supes in The Boys, if he was faced with a full revolt, especially in an organized fashion, he could be taken out. The fact that Butcher, Huey, and Soldier Boy almost succeeded proves that.
Soldier Boy tanked a Tzar bomb in that universe, as referenced by the Russian scientist torturing him… not only was he unharmed, he ended up absorbing some of that energy and developing new powers.
That is just flawed logic.
Homelander almost killed Soldier Boy by crushing his wind-pipe, and after throwing hands with a super-nuclear threat that is Soldier Boy, all he had was bruising with no open wounds.
Very very few supes are super-nuclear in the Boys universe.
So, no. Even with full supe-revolt against Homelander, 98% of supes would be cut down/incapable of applying any substantial force to him.
The Boys really stays within realms of physics.
homelander couldnt carry the plane because if he tried flying he would either punch a hole in the hull or tear the plane in half
He cant hurt bright burn. Nothing in it besides a straight up weakness he never bled.
You left out Brightburns telekinesis and his ability to mentally effect electronics. With so little info about Brightburn it's difficult to say definitely if this is a one sided fight.
To be fair, we haven't seen Brightburn fighting any Super Soldiers.
Brightburn is a literal kryptonion, I don’t see homelander coming out on top or anywhere close to that. And we’ve also seen brightburn move so fast he could rival the flashes speed in s4
I remember once hearing that Homelander would see Brandon as a menace rather than as a son since Brughtburn wants to destroy humanity, whereas Homelander wants to keep them as toys.
Homelander would notice that if Brightburn kills everybody, Homelander would have nobody to love him.
What i mean is, it's refreshing how this is the a Homelander fight where you can unironically root for Homelander to win, since he's the lesser evil of 2 evils.
We actually don’t know exactly all of the abilities that Bright burn has, we just don’t know exactly how strong he is, or if anything on earth can really injure him or hurt him, plus he is just a little kid right now, what happens when Bright burn gets older? So right now we to assume that Bright Burn is a younger Superman, which Superman would destroy Homelander!
Brandon turned from kid to mini superman in a few weeks of puberty. With a power curve like that, his powers are probably unthinkable given a little time lol
We need a follow up to brightburn. Something showing what he became. That would be cool
They had to put Homelander against a child for him to even stand a chance.
I would think Homelander only really has a chance if he also has the metal that Brandon is weak against. The metal of the ship can cut Brandon like a regular knife blade can cut human skin.
