I’ve been into rc for 25 to 30 years on road to drift to nitro off road to crawling and nitro and gas boats I’ve been inactive for 7-8 years and just got my crawlers out of storage in august and I’m hooked again. Glad you enjoy the hobby too.
AxiAl! I had the Honcho, and I was really impressed. Only complaint I had is nobody I knew had one to crawl with! It's insane on a trail, looks like a real Jeep getting over rocks. My advice is to set the BEC to 7.4V right away. The stock servo on 6V just cannot do it. The servos oddly say rated to 7.2v, so it's probably not gonna last forever. But it is really bad at 6V, can't steer under any pressure and the shift servos kinda lag. Also found it much more fun to drive with less drag brake and fwd/brk/rev. Worth messing with the ESC after your first test crawl. Enjoy it bud. Edit: it's just 2-3S, you run two batteries for weight. Or a single shorty up front for better weight distribution. I was shocked too, expected more volts.
Literally just heard about this channel from your pewds/rogan video. Crazy. I spent like $20k on RCs when i got back into it. My wife bought me an Xmaxx and it really triggered the animal in me lmao
These are monsters. Keep an eye on the spur gear nut likes to back off. Firmer foams in the tires and replace the plastic servo tray with an aluminum one
I have a SCX 10II Honcho and a SCX 24 Deadbolt. I have the remote for the 24 but the Honcho’s is missing in the garage somewhere or in the shed I need to find it because I don’t want to buy a new remote and find it afterwards. I’m looking for some trailing buds to hook up with
when you said that truck cost $1000, I was like WTF who the hell would spend that?! BUT then I thought about myself always buying the new PlayStation and a new Xbox and all the games after that, and I realized that I spent just as much as any motorized car aficionado does-maybe more. Life is short, find your joy. eww, that sounded like a drunk Kamala quote.
Remote control means it has a wire attached between the vehicle and the controller, Radio Control means it uses radio signal to communicate between the vehicle and a transmitter dang it Jeremy 😂
I still prefer nitro motors, even though they're a massive pain in the ass in almost every way over the electric stuff these days, and let's be honest, less powerful than a lot of the gonzo brushless motors setups. But still, that thing is kind of nuts. Just the suspension setups on these off-roaders are just wild on their own.
I have over 15 years in this. Look at the different kinds in best of videos. Best RC buggies, best RC truggies, best RC desert trucks, best on road…just look at all of them and see what kind attract your personality the most.
@@MisterFriendly99 agree. I'd say minimum spend is going to be right around 300. For a starter and battery and charger. Something like a Gorgon. Or a SCX24 or similar. And aim for like 600 to 1000 for trailing.
That guy just like Jeremy from the Quartering 😏

Probably far more reliable than an actual modern Jeep.
Ur back yes I love this channel
I went with the Honcho 3 weeks ago and love it and was on sale for $849. I have no regrets and this thing is so awesome.
How much do they go for normally?
@ $1k like the Jeeps.

Its adorable also the suspention looked nice and stable ❤
Dude. Set up an rock crawling terrarium in your garage. HA! You have to run some of these things. I know it's winter and all...but come on man!!
Im just learning that the quartering loves rc trucks.
Id love to have that beast. Id have soo much fun with it.
Just got Brenthel super Baja Rey last night. Bigger scale is where it’s at.
Awesome video, mine has been ultra reliable and very happy with it.

Scx6 are killer rigs!!! I love mine, it is a beast!!!! 👍👍👍

id like to see what you'd pick for a low budget 4X4 for a beginner that is upgradable.

Upgrade the steering servo, tire foams, and aluminum front panhard mount.

so cool!
Bigger will always be better. There's more fun to be had with 5t's than 1/10 scts. Btw Hobbywing USA is having a banging sale rn.
I'm working on getting my first 6 now.....
HOBBYWING just dropped a 2in1 system for this truck. Its 20 bucks more than the regular Fusion Pro.
I could probably sit and ride on top of that thing lmao

How are those shelves behind you holding up?

Not sure if I speak for anyone else but I'd like to see footage of this in action.
We will bring you to the dark side of crawling

That Gatorade is not Keto >.>
It's not rated for 4S, read the manual. Only the ESC is rated for 4S. You run that on 4S in stock form and you might explode the drivetrain.
It's Axial, not Axiel. You might be thinking of Ariel, from your favorite movie ;)
I'm about to pull the trigger on a Arrma Kraton 8S Blx. Does anyone have an opinion on it?
3S get your top speed about 14 miles an hour 4s will get you to about 22 miles an hour
Boys don't stop playing with toys upon becoming men.
*We simply get bigger toys.*
the real question is CAN IT STAND 5 MINUTES IN A RING WITH TOMBSTONE ?????
I’m actually fucking with this channel. I’ve always had an interest in this hobby but never knew where to even start.

Start by deciding what terrain you will run on. Then how much to spend.
