Hi Robert, I am from syro malabar church, I feel your pain. We are all praying for Ireland which has become our second home. We are all interceding for the faith formation in Ireland. I believe that is why God has brought us here. I too feel so sad about all the things you have said. We are praying Robert, God will show us a way. God bless you Robert.
In America, I went to a Catholic (very large parish) School 1958 to 1966. We were not able financially to go to the Catholic High School. We only had Mass I day a week, catechism I/2 hr a day. confession on Saturdays, then Mass on Sunday. I prayed rosary with my grandmother and read the Bible with her. My mother prayed her prayers kneeling on a big PreDeu in her walk in closet. To get quiet and privacy. I think she only slept from midnight to 4 am most of my life. We never had a television till I was 13. I was the 2nd of 8 children. We all had chores or it would have been total chaos. But we all are still Catholic. All our children went to Catholic Schools through High School except one. This revival of sorts is allowing us acceptance in the Catholic Church, that I and my siblings never had growing up. We were looked down upon for being a large family. We had a huge vegetable garden to help supply not only ourselves but 6 or 7 neighbors and our fathers siblings families alike. We lived by the commandments and honored our parents and elders. To this day We are all polite and listening people, never the first to speak up or out about our troubles or others. What ever is happening in the Church we had the basics down. We girls all had to work so our families could have homes homes and our Children their Catholic educations. It’s been a struggle at times but we are confident in the Lord’s sustainability. Grandchildren are being taught the same. We are all bountifully blessed.
You and your family should be proud for what you have accomplished. My wife and I have raised six fine children, and we now have eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. We are also all bountifully blessed. However, having been raised Catholic and started reading the Bible (the Catholic Douay-Rheims Edition), I discovered that the Church was not teaching full Bible truth. Feeling deceived by the teaching that the Catholic Church was the one true church, I started looking for a church that did teach full Bible truth. It took some time and much more study, and God's Spirit lead me to the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, where I have been ever since. The Catholic Church doesn't keep God's true Sabbath, which is Saturday, the seventh day of the week. The true Sabbath is a memorial of God's creative power, which He asks us to remember in the Sabbath Commandment, Exodus 20:8-11. The creation week in the book of Genesis, and the Sabbath Commandment in Exodus 20, flies in the face of all that the purveyors of evolution would have us believe. There are other teachings of the Catholic Church that are not true. It is very important that we know the truth of God's word. In John 17:17 Jesus speaking to His Father said, "Sanctify them through thy truth, thy word is truth". Blessings to you!

Jeremiah 31:16-17 16 Thus says the Lord: “Refrain your voice from weeping, And your eyes from tears; For your work shall be rewarded, says the Lord, And they shall come back from the land of the enemy. 17 There is hope in your future, says the Lord, That your children shall come back to their own border.
Yes we teach our kids to say rosary at a very young age, almost every families have 10-40 minutes family prayer time, saying angelus every day, taking them for Mass every Sunday, if possible parents and grandparents go to Mass daily, no matter which country. Teaching catechism on Sundays has a big role. I am a teacher in Sunday school and we teach our kids that Christmas is all about the happy birthday of Christ Jesus, Halloween is the celebration of all hallows which means all saints ❤. But still there are some families who are lost in faith. Almost all syro Malabar Catholics are having a deep devotion to Mother Mary. For each and everything, we say rosary, no matter we are happy, sad disappointed, scared. She is our sweet mother ❤ God blessed our state of Kerala in India with lots of retreat centers and priests who are able to make us understand the word of God! We see and hear about healings and testimonies almost every day in Jesus name. We pray for all our priests in our syro Malabar Mass(there’s a special prayer after Mass). We know the value of priesthood. We pray to Jesus always through our sweet Mother ❤
At another time, I would find this splendid, but at the moment , as we are over run, I find it puts another knife in my heart that my country is given to the world for 30 pieces of silver. Not good timing when we have lost control of our borders.
I am a Syro Malabar Catholic, and what you said is right. We are very serious when it comes to our faith. Daily family prayer for about 30 to 60 minutes is mandatory in our families. Holy Rosary and The Angelus is a must. Elderly to kids attend without fail. Thanks to our parents. Our Church was established by St.Thomas the apostle and we pass the prayers through generations. Attending Sunday Holy Qurbana is done without fail. There are even people who attend daily Holy Mass. And the Lord has blessed us with lots of Priests and Nuns in our Community. Prayer is a very powerful weapon. Our Lord was very kind and merciful to guide St Thomas to our state , Kerala. All praises to our Lord Jesus Christ.
I can attest that I love my Catholic Faith this day and age. As a young adult, I am honored and thrilled to be part of Church History witnessing the growth and testimony of converts, reverts, and martyrs whose love is on fire for Jesus. ❤️🔥 Never afraid when ask to give testimony of your love for Jesus. You will never know that one day you will be written in the Lives of the Saints book just like “The Little Pictorial Lives of the Saints” by Fr. Alan Butler. God Bless you all and God love you! ❤️🙏
Take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you guardians, to feed the Church of the Lordwhich he obtained with his own blood. Acts of Apostles 20 : 28
I am thankful that Bambie Thug did not win Eurovision but still shocked that she came sixth. Did not watch the contest but heard about her entry on a Catholic podcast. As viewers vote in the Eurovision contest it shows how depraved the world has become particularly the western world. Lord have mercy!
Likewise. It's just appalling what Europe is promoting and allowing into it's song contests. Shows how far they've fallen. And it's not because that thug represented Ireland, but what that thug's beliefs and objectives were. Next year we may be confronted by some other country portraying a demonic pagan performance or other version of that thug. That shouldn't even be allowed in as an entry.
Syro Malabar church & Syro Malankara churches are from South Indian state of Kerala. The province is known as “God’s own Country “ and it is really a Godly place where the faith exists. miracles and healings are very common in all retreat centers.
I think the level of persecution has something to contribute to the strength in faith. Europe catholics had kings on gaurd. But orthodox was persecuted by ottomans. In case of kerala, even though they where not persecuted most take somekind of pride. In liturgical tradition.
I am a syro Malabar catholic from kearla as a teenager I had fased lot of problems in my sprichual life the main factor which brought me back to the faith is knowing who we are and what we are as a gen z i know many of our brothers and sisters in Christ are loosing the faith and chasing the world
Hi Robert, I'm Joel. We did an interview some years ago about the Syro Malabar Church and it's traditions, hope you remember. Been follpwing you since. Glad to see another video about the same. I hope the Catholics of Ireland wake up again and continue the vibrance they have had since ages. God bless you and your family. Praying for you❤
NET Ministries in Ireland does a great job engaging young people with the gospel message and challenging them to embrace the life of the Church for themselves. But yes, I agree, parents need to be living it in a meaningful way by praying daily-that’s how the faith will be passed along in a deep and lasting way.
Hello there, I wondered if I could reach out to you. Please could you pray for us. Thank you so, so much

Pubs and alcohol have always been with us. Father Matthew saw the problem accurately and he saw it was when Ireland was "catholic". You are right many "catholics " must have voted to legalise abortion. If this is the depth of Irish catholicism then we are in trouble as a church. However many catholics voted to retain the right to life of our unborn too. It is this demographic who we need to work on.
And yet, when Henry VIII instituted his protestant faith, the Irish were deeply Catholic and the people and priests took big risks of having a Catholic Mass in public isolated places. Even the way estates were divided for Catholics, ensured that there were many small landholdings with a steady decrease in wealth accumulation. That was then. Today Ireland seems so very distant from its roots, and from the sacrifices of its ancestors who weathered a lot of persecution and difficulty.
I was born in 64 too in Liverpool, I vaguely remember the tail end of the Latin Mass, I received Our Lord on the tongue, I wasn't taught the Catechism Sadly🙏 my Dad's Irish Family all prayed the Rosary Every night as a Family in Ireland 🙏, that KEEPS the Faith in a Family and Real Love🙏🌍🙏🌹🍀And Now Medjugorje 🙏🌍🙏🌹🍀Thanks be to God and Our Lady🌹🙏⭐
Robert. Great video, but youre preaching to the converted excuse the pun. You need to be doing talks to the clergy. However you organise that is your challenge.
How do we explain what happened in the church with kids how’s do we give them the faith with fear of it happening again this is not being talked about enough how do we tell our kids this is my faith although it abused it’s followers with fear, I want my child to have faith but don’t want him to be taken advantage of
The clergy abuse scandals and the mother and baby homes were a big obstacle for me to overcome when deciding whether or not Catholicism is true. I prayed wholeheartedly to the Lord for wisdom, discernment and an open mind and heart - after a few months of praying and studying the Catechism, the Lord gave me the eyes to see that the horrendous actions of these people were a result of them disobeying our Lord and His Church’s teachings completely and abusing their positions for power, wealth or worse. They are prime examples of what our Lord calls tares and wolves in sheep’s clothing. Your children won’t be taken advantage of when they have our Lord Jesus Himself as their guide. Teach them to always measure anything in life by Him and they won’t go wrong, even when they encounter tares in His Church.
In Ireland, the church originally censored the movie "Black Narcissus", a movie about nuns not being perfect. It was finally allowed to be shown, under the condition that there would a notice in the film saying that these are not Catholic nuns but rather Protestant nuns.
It's a great film with Deborah Kerr as the lead. It was based on an Anglican order or nuns who went to India to found and establish a school. Beautifully shot. Cinematography was by Jack Cardiff.
You say what many have been thinking for decades. Why so late and still such a struggle. I know it’s Christ’s church but often it’s not obvious by behaviour. I’m a 1974 baby.
The sacrifice of the mass is not biblical, it is sacrificing Jesus every day. Jesus was sacrificed once for all. You don't need to know the faith, you need to know Jesus through His word.
Actually what Catholics believe is that there is only ONE sacrifice, the mass (or Divine Liturgy) is the re-representation of the one and only sacrifice. Not a new sacrifice. It’s 100% biblical and is exactly what Our Lord asked us to do and what the apostles did.

"Concelebration" is just another means to dilute the Christological essence of the priest as another Christ.
No, concelebrating is part of the church since the very beginning
They do not have concelebration in the TLM!
