Yes… the soul that sins shall die. All scripture is clear on this. Especially Paul’s treatise in Romans. Romans 6:23 states that the wages of sin is death (not eternal conscious torment nor annihilation) but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus our Lord. Paul previously in chapter 5 stated that the justification and life for all men by the one man, Christ Jesus, is the same in scope and effect as that of the death and condemnation that came through the one man, Adam. He emphasizes further, just after stating this, that the effects of the gift (eternal life and justification for all) is far greater than the effects of the trespass (death and condemnation for all). Should the number and the fullness and the effects of the gift be less than that of the trespass, it then follows that the gift is in fact not greater but rather much less and far inferior than the trespass. Adam, then would be greater than Christ, which is impossible for the Christian to believe. But Paul is very robust is going on to say that “where sin has abounded (whatever sin has affected and corrupted or killed) grace has MUCH MORE abounded.“ At Christmas time, we all proclaim this in the song “Joy to the World” when we sing “No more let sins and sorrows grow, nor thorns infest the ground. He comes to make his blessings flow, far as the curse is found, far as the curse is found, far as, far as, the curse is found.” Grace and peace to you. And to all. 😊
@benjaminwhitley1986 that happened to me. I lost my soul. It's dead. Eternally separated from God. Commited mortal sin that killed it. Devil told me he owned me. Dreams of being sucked in hell. God's judgment, lava, worms. Wish I could go back. I cannot even imagine what awaits me.
