I say sleep if you need or feel tired. A nap for 30 mins to 1 hr midday keeps me going in the evenings. Getting 7 to 8 hr sleep per day is utmost basic need and shouldn't be compromised for anyone or anything. Lack of sleep is the start of many physical and mental troubles.
Some people may find your slang like it's attitude/scene especially at first. It is because of the tamil slang. But if they take time to listen it will grow on them. They should understand that living in another city can influence the Tamil and be open-minded else they can move on.
