Tyre pressure is an absolute flog. Never heard of it in any sport,if you manage it well or bad it should be part of a successful team strategy.
But, Marc won't win here, or anywhere, pecco and Martin are far too strong.

@@____________________okas a mm93 fan: why did pecco and martin do fine leading and marc had to let them pass? seems as if marcs strategy was high risk high reward...
@@MyRevoltec if you expect to be leading and riding in clear air you can plan accordingly. If you have to fight through a pack it makes it much more difficult to anticipate everything that's going to happen and choose an 'ideal' pressure
@@MyRevoltecYeah, it seems like it depends a lot on where you are going to be (or at least expect to be) in the race. Pecco for example started with higher tyre pressure because he was expected to have clean air, which worked perfectly. On the other hand Marc was starting from 6th and was expected to fight in a pack for most of the race, so having a similar setup would have completely overheated the tyres. Which is why he had lower tyre pressure. I assume the "problem" was that he ended up leading a pack and had too much clean air, so the pressure dropped too much. It seems like something you can get wrong easily if the race doesn't go the way you think it will (Quartararo had a similar problem earlier this year, if i remember correctly). It could be that Marc & team were a bit too close to the margin with it, but... if he ends up having to fight for positions most of the race, or maybe challenge the front runners, it would have been a huge help keeping the tyres usable. It just didn't work out for them.
