First time watcher and one thing l was wishing for as l watched---please tell us what you are planting. Good luck with the tree roots. They can really make it difficult to plant can't they!! I have watched Garden Answer for quite a few years and find that she and Aaron are so knowledgeable and a lot of fun also. You have the perfect place to turn into a "show piece".

We did water before and after the mulch
