Based on this great review, I ordered and received the Finch Harvest from Traditional Pocket Knives. Great service and a GREAT knife. The knife is absolutely perfect....smooth as silk, sharp out of the box, and beautiful. The nail nick isn't really necessary given that it's an incredibly smooth flipper, but aesthetically it works and adds balance to the big ol' blade. I love this knife!
The harvester is sweet !! It may be the one I like the best so far of the lineup . It may have to be my first Finch !! I love how a new knife can still bring a kid giggle out of a grown man !!Thanks for the video !! Take care JB
Thanks for sharing JB! This looks like another great option from Finch! I have the yellow one on order, and it should be here tomorrow. Thanks for being such a great brand ambassador for them, as your the one that got me to give the Holiday a try last winter!
I recently gave away my Rough Ryder Workman’s Series Half Hawk. This would make a nice replacement and upgrade to refill the ram’s foot hole in my collection! Thanks for the unboxing!
The Harvester, very suiting name. I've seen this bladestyle a lot being used on farms. Did you notice how well it pairs with the 1929? It looks absolutely awesome! You know how big of a fan i'm of the 1929, but this one is very close behind it JB. Thank you for first impressions friend.
Yo beeferbaron !! You need to get in touch with Alex from Alex’s Knives and Such . You won a Muskrat from him and he wants to get it to you !! Take care brother
I have always liked 154CM as a blade steel a great steel for knife that is made to work, that is a ram's foot and a half. I like the 1929 too a beautiful little knife numbered for the year my mother was born.
Love it, love it love it. You got one with a nice grain pattern in the wood scales. I have a shipping notice for the Yellow one that I ordered already.
Love the cocobolo. Overall, micarta is my favorite scale material but I do love wood scales especially when they have such a nice grain structure as those do. I wish more manufacturers would offer wood as an option for their scales.
Love Finch knives but still waiting on a 3.5" or longer one so I can carry it as a main. This one is awesome though, loving the blade shape and the wood grain is beautiful. keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable.
Awesome little knife. I got a Harvester coming in a day or two. Finch knives are design genius. A perfect blend between traditional & modern. I bet I know what the 2nd knife is, and we won’t find out until early December. Hee hee hee.🤫🤘👍
I totally wish we had cardinals here! I appreciate your opening! Also thank your for sharing this review this is so nice with that wood! Intresting blade! Awesome! Cheers, Jerbs #22ADAY 👍🏼🇺🇸🔥🔪🔥🇨🇦👍🏼
Hey JB I went with the yellow bone from our friend at traditional pocket knives. Did Finch send you that for free? I would love to get anything for free from Finch to review. I wish they participated in the Apex Group. 😂👍🏻 I think the wood scales look very nice. I’ve never owned a Finch with wood. Maybe in the future if they stop offering bone. 😂 Bone just rocks my world.
Nice Gary! Yes it was sent to me! Their first knife, the Runtly, was in the pass around...that's how I ended up talking to the Finch guys! They saw my review and loved my reaction to it! That's how we started talking.
@@BigRedEDC right on thanks for the knowledge cuz knowin is half the power go Joe!! G.I.JOE I just found out yesterday after watchin every 1 of those toons a dozen times what G.I. stands for. Never even thought or realized it was an abbreviation lol!!
Argh! That sucks when I see inferior (less interesting) grain on the show side. I'm a wood-machinist by trade and it's one of the first things we have drilled (no pun) into us. Best face up.
@@BigRedEDC For sure, if the grain-follows-clip was intended, whomever put it together has a great eye. If not, it's still a very pleasing happy accident. To be fair it's the numerous guitar bodies (electric) I've seen that have made me the bitter grain orientated man I am today! 😁

Lol...new knives are always fun...especially when they are as nice as this one!
That's one buff sheep! Finch really nails the "traditional yet modern" style, and love the themed stickers as usual!
They do the perfect blend in my opinion!!
Thanks for sharing JB! This looks like another great option from Finch! I have the yellow one on order, and it should be here tomorrow. Thanks for being such a great brand ambassador for them, as your the one that got me to give the Holiday a try last winter!
I just dig what Finch does! Love their blend of modern and traditional!!
Yes, i like this one.
Modern with firm foot in the past, it's one my grand dad would have loved too.👍🏻
Most definitely Klaas! Thanks for watching
The blade and handle shape mirror dynamic is pretty satisfying😍👌
Another fantastic knife from Finch!!
Finch is so good at making classic but unique knives.
Absolutely...love that about their designs!!
This is so sweet, finch really crushes their designs. Home run!
I completely agree Brandon! Thanks brother!!
Finch definitely has a winning design and it's impressive how they keep coming.
It is very impressive my friend!!!!
That’s a beauty! Love the mix of modern features and traditional looks!
Absolutely Paul! Thanks so much
Thanks for the look JB! Take care brother!!
Thanks for watching brother!!
That is my favorite Finch I've seen yet. Awesome. Closes about like a Malibu
Thanks for watching J N!!
Great looking knife with a very useful looking blade. Finch is really knocking it out of the park with each new release.
They certainly are! Thank so much for watching!!
Another Finch I’d love to have! Love those warm Traditional-like woods scales. Sharp knife
It's another good one for sure!!

I dig the wooden scales. I’d thought about attempting to make a set for the holiday .
That would be cool Leland!!

Very cool Chris! Definitely a healthy blade and I am enjoying it very much!!
Kinda reminds me of a Rough Ryder Coal Miner because of the blade shape. Thanks for sharing, JB!
Yeah..that Rams Foot/Half Hawk style blade!! Thanks Dave!!
“Harvester of Sorrow” immediately started playing in my mind when I saw that blade….lol
That's the song I showed in my TikTok video!!

That's a really cool design. I dig that blade shape. Great video JB 👍

Love the cocobolo. Overall, micarta is my favorite scale material but I do love wood scales especially when they have such a nice grain structure as those do. I wish more manufacturers would offer wood as an option for their scales.
I am a big fan of micarta myself but felt I needed a little more wood grain in my life!!!
@@BigRedEDC very understandable, especially when the wood is as attractive as that cocobolo is.

I bet I’m going to be the only one that gets the yellow one!!!!!! That blade is sick!!!!!
I know one person that ordered the yellow so far!!
Yellow for me as well!
I would call it a Rams Foot blade. Reminds me of the Rough Ryder Half Hawk.
Absolutely Rusty! Rams foot didn't make into my old brain at the time...lol!!!
great video brother. i love finch they have a sweet style and i'm all in for modern traditional knives..
Yeah...I love the modern traditional style!!

Really like the frame lock.

I would probably agree William but I am digging this one hard!!

Nice wharncliff blade.
Thanks for checking it out Manny!!
Looks like a fantastic rope knife
I just used it on some and it did pretty well!!!
Man. I like that knife big red.
Its a worker for sure!
That's a bolster lock? It looks like a frame lock. Killer blade&killer vid knife bro!! Oh cuz the dark line on the scale lol!!
It is essentially a framelock but when the scales cover most of the frame to create the Bolster look...it is commonly referred to as a Bolster Lock
