- "Local Legends" introduces Win-di Paliha, a local lipog or rice wine maker in Batad, Banaue. Paliha shares how he first became interested in rice wine through his father. Meanwhile, Batad elder Ramon Binalit explains what lipog is and its history. Paliha also mentions ramenad or yeast, which is an important lipog ingredient. Paliha and Binalit then talk about the seemingly dying tradition of making rice wine in Batad, and its importance to some people in the area as a source of income.

Im so proud of being an ifugao and im proud to say that i know how to make a RICE WINE in our language "Bayah" or "tapey"
I love docu films about different people, places, and culture.
I suddenly miss my college friend. she is from Mayayao, Ifugao. Everytime she will tell stories there is always a rice wine in her story . No more contact now for more than 10 years . Hi Saleen Chulana wherever you are!!!
Hagiyo Ifugao.... I love it ❤️❤️❤️
#memories
Proud to be one of the ifugaos❣️❤️
Love these series. On par with GMA documentaries which I think is their specialty.

taga saan? the traditional way of preparing is the key factor of its being a genuine Lipog/rice wine. and that using a modernize equipment is virtually the same as putting preservatives. If your not an ifugao u never understand its roots of origin.(anyway that's not dirty) I'm an Ifugao.
Panuorin mo kc, d mo ata naintindihan e. roasted nga yong rice kaya maitim at mukhang madumi pero mas malinis pa yan s mga iniinom mong processed liquors. Kitid ng utak mo pre.
Taga saan ka po..
Masyado kang mapan lait
