@@jackiejenner446Dear Jackie, I totally agree with your comment. I'm going through some bad stuff at the moment and watching Ara's videos really helps me so much. It makes me very sad and angry that anyone would leave hateful comments for her to read when all Ara is doing is helping other people. I'm making a Book Nook at the moment and I probably wouldn't have done it if it wasn't for Ara's help. Take care of yourself sweetie, love from Amanda Jones in Australia

You are talented, you are creative, you are funny, you are genuine, you are warm, you are engaging, you are informative, you are inventive and you are really nice to look at. And that, last one, dear heart, is coming for an old queen with great judgement and zero ulterior motive. Beauty and talent, inside and out. Thank you for what you do. I know that one day I will be able to return to it again. I'm am very grateful that you allow me to post my coloring books that I'm currently limited to. I was given the stuff to build a study/small home library for Christmas. I also had Covid pneumonia over Christmas. Having that miniature room to work on gave me something to do and a good reason to sit up every day during my recovery. It was fun, and I finished it during my recovery period. You taught me how to use the tools and think through the project. And I had something to show for the time I would have otherwise spent doing nothing. Thank you for your videos, teaching, and encouragement.

HI Ara, I first made a dolls house from a monthly kit back in 1998 when I was 46 years old. I had always wanted a doll house as a child and this was the first opportunity I had to own one. I love to make things and thought it would be a doddle . I was wrong. It was so fiddly and nothing seemed to fit, but I persisted and I am now the proud owner of a large Victorian, fully furnished doll house. Like you, life happened along the way. I am now 70 years old and it is my intention this year to add hand made basement rooms to the house. Creativity never dies, it is part of who you are and gives immeasurable pleasure all through your life. I really pity those people who 'don't get it'. Don't be hurt by them, be sad for them. Thank you so much for your wonderful tutorials. I am really enjoying the making of the Beetle Juice house. Anne, Liverpool, England

People who don't have creativity and imagination wouldn't understand the joy of making art. Sure it is time consuming, but if its something that you enjoy doing and want to complete then go for it! Like you said, art CAN be therapeutic for people, you don't even have to be perfect when it comes to art, art can be anything: painting, drawing, sculpting, writing, taking photos, landscaping, interior designing, etc.
So don't listen to them. Your art is amazing and I love miniatures. Good luck in your goals this year Ara.😊🤞

First of all l think your special, talented, funny, kind and a pretty amazing human and artist. Second of all I was taught that when people say or do hateful things it is because they are pretty miserable in their own lives. You have brought joy and creativity into my life. I stopped doing minis because I felt I had to choose between sewing and minis because of space and health limitations. These last 2 weeks I have been watching almost every miniature video that l could find. Your name was brought up continuously in most of the videos. You’re a miniature icon! So what did I do? Cleaned out my small bedroom of unwanted things and brought my minis back. I didn’t realize how much I missed it! Even if it takes me twice as long to make something I’m back baby. For you to post this amazing video right on the heels of my rediscovery of minis is truly pretty amazing. Just like you. Lean on your community as we lean on you. I've been working 3 yrs on a 1/12th scale Antiques Store. I absolutely LOVE it - and I'm still not finished (I'm starting to think it will never be finished). I have a whole story developed around my proprietor, her business, and her customers. I keep a photo album full of fun photos of the store in action. People around me make me feel silly, for being an adult that loves "playing with" (working on) my dollhouse. My hobby is often dismissed as a pointless waste of time and money. I guess my goal for 2023 (besides repairing the foundation and front porch), would be to enjoy my hobby WITHOUT the embarrassement that comes from letting others make me feel that it's childish and unimportant. Truth is, when people take the time to look it over, THEY start exclaiming over the fun miniatures and playing in it too! There is an inner child in all of us. 🙂

Honey, don't give these HATERS a second thought. Sounds like they are horribly jealous! You are an artist. I, myself, love to miniature. I find it hugely therapeutic. THANK YOU for all the great teachings. I've learned SO much from you! Keep it up & don't stop! To the haters "GO BLOW"!

I needed to hear your positive thoughts. I still haven't started on my castle yet since I'm moving in the next few months to another home. BUT there will be extra boxes with stuff for my castle! Thank you for being an awesome person and giving the rest of us so much joy and keep on building of miniatures. lots of love from a hot and sunny South Africa

Moving is definitely one of these life events that happen and our creativity just has to wait a bit! Thank you Wanda, I hope your move goes smoothly!

100% correct. We all need to have an activity where we can shut the door on the world and all it's troubles, and "loose" ourselves. It is healthy. It is good for our wellbeing. It helps us to function better generally. Those negative comments come from destroyers of other peoples imagination & joy....much better to be a creator of other peoples imagination & joy and that is what you are Ara. Thank you for your wonderful videos. x

Eyes of envy are always dark. You know I have always been envious of your art and talent but never in a bad way, I'm just overjoyed that you share the process with us. Thank you for making me feel like I could have maybe an eighth of your talent by watching your videos and practicing along with you.

hi Ara, first of all and happy new year. I just started following you through your Adam's family home. we all learn. I am 55 and have been making miniatures for 3 years. It makes me so happy, especially when I finish something and put it in my hair salon. Everyone enjoys. Just so I enjoy your videos.

I really appreciate your perspective & totally agree! You have allowed me to realize that it is ok to give myself permission to watch a “live stream” or a 45 min. video from Ara! I am learning & not sitting idle!! Keep up the good work & enjoy every minute please. You are amazing in your creativity, ability to make that creativity work & your eloquence to teach us as well! Thank you. Happy New Year!

I'm looking forward to what you do in 2023! Honestly, I'm all for packaging videos, I love watching those. I actually think your way of working on projects relatively slowly (and having multiple ongoing ones at the same time) is very smart, because you don't rush through them and don't get burned out. It also gives us some variety and even if a subscriber is not interested in one, they always know there will be another project featured soon.
I'm that avid reader 😅 I wholehartedly agree, if a hobby makes you happy, go for it! I also enjoy making (basic) journals and I've kept a book journal with stats for the last 3 years. One of the most relaxing things for me is looking through those and seeing what I read and when, and how I decided to decorate my spreads that month. Heck, every few months I get the urge to do jigsaw puzzles, and I spend entire afternoons completing them. For whatever reason some people have problems understanding that their views on what's worth the work and what isn't aren't the truth.
(Reusing your reading analogy, it remids me of snobbism among readers regarding listening to audiobooks or reading certain genres, or not sticking to only reading High Art™ that stays with you for months.)

Ara, that video was how I found you! And so lucky I am to have done so! You have inspired so much creativity out of me! I am working on my own Greenleaf dollhouse, its a Horror themed Witches dollhouse. And I often do little room kits and miniatures for my 6 yr old now! Thank you. And I admire your levity with haters. OH! And my goal is to complete several mini kits and finally complete my Orchid. I wish I could send you pics!

It’s wonderful to see you progressing and learning and sharing that with us. There will sadly always be the bitter, jealous little few who don’t have successful channels and don’t have a project displayed in a museum and think it’s great to try and bring someone down to their miserable level. You will go from strength to strength and those of us who aren’t snivelling mewling moaners will celebrate you and your achievements. We are learning with you. Thank you for ALL you do 🖤
